I would welcome your opinion as to what would be a better way.  Care to elaborate?

I am not a an expert when it comes to China.

But it seems to me, and many economists agree, that trade wars are a bad thing.

Because the world is so intertwined, trade wars and up affecting not just the country they are aimed at, but the global economy.

Surely, there are other, diplomatic tools that can be used.

So, someone within the Trump WH, is finally admitting the truth, and made his comments on Fox News!!!!

From today's Washington Post:

Kudlow Acknowledges US Consumers, Not China, Pay For Tariffs On Imports

Although, based on the report, it appears Kudlow was reluctant to admit what most of us already know.

Wow.

The Dow is down 500 points, as the trade war between the US and China escalates.

Maybe, it isn't the left that is seeking the economy to implode and end Trumpism.

Maybe it is Trump, who seeks to end his time in the WH, by imploding the economy.

Just a thought.

Frazzled by the uncertainty, shares sank Monday across the globe. Futures contracts for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 were down 2 per cent before markets opened on Wall Street

China retaliates as the Trade War goes on.  $60 billion might not be much, but wonder what lies ahead?

Need to pay more for electronics (among countless of other things). But hey..

I guess our nation is "going through withdrawal" from cheap overseas labor.

Yes we complain about the trade deficits, but it's our demand for cheap products that created in the first place.

One thing that I had a hard time understanding here in this nation was people paying Dollar store prices while demanding Neiman Marcus type service.

Wow.

When I originally posted this morning, the Dow was down 500 points.

It closed, down 600 points.

The buffoon has NO IDEA what the hell he is doing, and those silent, complacent Republicans, are just pathetic.

Just read farmers are starting to turn against Trump.

Hurry on up, November 2020!!!!

And it looks like Trump is gearing up for war with Iran.

This should all turn out really well.
