I never learned to play an instrument. And I'd like to go back and kick that kid's arse for not taking advantage of the help offered by my grandparents. Both were in a Rock & Roll band. They were Cuban.

I love acoustic guitar.

Spidey has an acoustic drum set in the basement.

Daughter played the coronet in high school band. Spidey played her coronet until he started with drums. He had guitar lesson for awhile but he lost interest.

Older two sons - nada.

I played the violin for about 4 years, but I gave it up because I wanted to focus on my piano and organ.

I also tried my hand at guitar, acoustic and electric. I got too frustrated, and when I realized I would never be the female version of Stevie Ray Vaughn, I gave up. I wish I'd stuck with it.

.

Took a 2 year old to Heritage Days yesterday. There was a band with 8 kids on violins. He sat on my lap mesmerized for awhile and said "I want a violin". I told his mommy. She should start him young!

I think it's the Montessori program that starts kids on the violin when they're ~ 4y old.

I listen to Annie when I need to stay focused on cleaning house, which doesn't really make sense

Oh, thank God it wasn't It's a hard Knock Life!

The school did a production of Annie last year, one of my least favorite shows of all time.

Sorry, never occurred to me that I might have meant THAT Annie. I'm referring to the one who is half of the Eurythmics. A couple years ago, on one of the music award shows, everyone else was doing super elaborate choreographed routines. She came on stage, stood at the microphone, and sang. It was awesome.
