Lester the Data Manager and myself are the only ones in the office right now, and we've both got 'Copacabana' stuck in our heads.

He starts humming it - that sets me off, I start humming it - that sets him off.

Thing is, though: Lester's the world's worst at remembering lyrics. He doesn't let that hold him back.

"Music and, erm... laughter... is what they were after at the COOOOPAAA...."

But, are you DANCING to it? Because you really can't just sit still for this song!

QUOTE from OCNRN63~"This one takes me back to when rock was music with amazing vocals, instrumentation, and lyrics with meaning..."https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r58GQYFZeLE

Quote from Farawyn~"More than a Feeling, Boston...Feeling Stronger Everyday, Chicago..."

Love both of those songs...great choices. I've been busy with Dr. appts., so I haven't been here lately.

I played organ and piano for mucos años, but I can't play now d/t chemo induced neuropathy.

Dark Side of the Moon...Pure poetry.

OMG. That is my favorite book. I love Victor Hugo's writing. But the music in Les Mis is so wonderful.

You can watch the 10th anniversary of it on youtube; the actors just do the singing, but you still get the effect of the play since there are no spoken words.

"Rollin' In The Deep." God, I wish I had Adele's pipes.

"Nobody Does It Better"-Carly Simon

I played the violin for about 4 years, but I gave it up because I wanted to focus on my piano and organ.

I also tried my hand at guitar, acoustic and electric. I got too frustrated, and when I realized I would never be the female version of Stevie Ray Vaughn, I gave up. I wish I'd stuck with it.

I just had a minute this morning and was reading through this awesome music thread started by OCNRN63 and noticed it was missing some links to some of her faves so I added them.

I don't know her in real life but she still enlightened me and many others. I just watched some Les Mis which I've heard of but never really watched any of.

I also just read her article on cancer awareness and ovarian cancer. It is very thought provoking.

Thanks again for all your sharing, OCNRN63.:inlove:

I listened to the New Christmas version of Hallelujah, sung byCaleb & Kelsey Grimm a couple days ago. It impacted me so much that I messaged them on their website and told them it is now my favorite Christmas song.

The Millionaire Waltz by Queen

By far my favorite Queen song along with Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy and Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon.
