Just to be opposite of the other INTENSLEY DISLIKE' post (which I really like), I'm hoping this post can be as equally enjoyable

I intensely LIKE it when something unexpectedly ends positively when totally UNEXPECTED.

My Meals-on-Wheels driver gave me a wristwatch he found on my porch. I'm housebound - and have limited visitors. I had no clue, except one. Turns out, it belonged to my visiting HHA.  She had no idea where she lost it from her pocket.

HAPPY ENDING!

I intensely like bubble-gum. I confess I have an obnoxious, daily cracking-popping-bubble-blowing habit; it is really something I only do in the privacy of my own home, after hubby has gone to bed.

I do this so I can thoroughly enjoy myself without someone saying "Do you have to chew that gum so loudly?"

Why, yes, as a matter of fact I do! I mean, my gosh, isn't that what bubblegum is for? Right now, as I type this, I'm am smacking away! I find it quite relaxing.

As a kid, I loved gum like you do now. Only I developed a NASTY habit of biting my tongue or inside lip/cheek. BIG welts left! I've actually chomped off mucosa. Boy, does that bleed!

Very rare now that I chew gum, maybe a few chomps just to get the flavor bolus. RARELY!

I love the beaches of Hawaii, wind, and dogs. And popcorn.

Intensely like the smell of freshly popping popcorn!!!  Surprisingly, there are some folk who DO NOT like the smell. As long as it's NOT scorched/burnt, I like that smell, that and the smell of a freshly perking/brewing pot of coffee.

That's another smell that's WONDERFUL until it OVERheats too long! NASTY!

I kinda like my popcorn with a few, and a few more, burned pieces of popcorn. Prolly under the heading: "Things That Are Not Good For You". Definitely under the comment section: "OMG, Who Burned The Popcorn! UGH, That Stinks!"

Oh well for them! Happy mouth for me!

As much as I like popcorn & its wonderful fragrance, I'm fearful about cracking a tooth if I bite one of the 'old maids'.

I know it's not 'politicially correct' to call them 'old maids' anymore!

NOTHING is politically correct anymore, these days. I think sometimes that it would be better for me NOT to joke about ANYTHING. Some of what people get their underwear in a wad over is NOT derogatory; but here is where I shut up because in any explaining I might do, I could dig myself a deeper hole.

Some of it is generational differences, like OUR folks and the Hippie Heydays. We so-called 'Boomers' were a lot, what, looser about some things than they are now? Anyway, now WE are the 'bad' guys, er, people.

OH WELL. Live, and then die. We all do it.Try to live well in between. That's about the safest thing I can think of to say right now.

I Intensely like to play Scrabble with my caregivers. It's excellent exercise for my elderly brain, and I have always loved English. It was my favorite subject when I was in High School.

"Ain't nuthin' in the world that I like better than bacon and lettuce and homegrown tomatoes..."

Anyone familiar with the "Homegrown Tomatoes" song?
