Is it just me, or does Richard Gere seems to be so aware of his own looks all the time that it gets in the way of his acting? I have yet to see a film of his where he is believably an ordinary human being. Even in the snippets I've seen of his newest, in which he is a street person; he just doesn't "become" his characters.

To me, it's like watching a movie with the grown man who used to be a kid I babysat for when he was a pipsqueak; I see him, not the character he's playing. Oh, he's a good actor, this one, don't get me wrong, but he also was my baby brother's best friend for a couple of years; they were the most hysterical goofballs, made me laugh so hard I cried and my belly and cheeks hurt. When you've known somebody well, you're watching that person, ACTING......

.....so, anyways, babble-babble-babble and like that.....

Emphasis mine. What're you trying to imply here? (I personally think it's the inmates running the asylum)

And yay to all of the kitty/puppy pics! I'd add mine, but they're too recognizable if anyone I work with is here.

Oh, dear. I wonder if my phone autocorrected that, or if I did it? It really could go either way.

That's why I went into nursing...too good looking to be an actor.

That's how I feel about Meryl Streep. She never disappears into her character-all I see is Meryl Streep playing a part.

Oh my. Now I don't feel that way about her at all. To me, she's like a shapeshifter.

I know she's really good, and does all those accents, and I've really tried to like her. I just can't get past..."Look, there's Meryl Streep. And she's doing another accent."

I'm that way with Angie Jolie. She's still rather nice to look at, though.

I like your evilness. Probably because the same evilness lives in me. Only if they don't get the point when I slow way down, I brake check them. Hey, it's on them if the rear end me!

I do the same thing. I live in the middle of a small town and my house is at the end of a gentle curve on the way into town. The speed limit is 30 mph. Trying to get out of my side street onto the main highway is difficult because you can't see around the curve as people speed into town. I always slow way down and actually drive through town past my house to keep people going 30 mph. Bwaahaahaaa . . .

Sometimes when I'm in the front yard, I'll yell at the speeders . . . . :sneaky:
