You are reading page 3 of What have you been complimented on lately?. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

After watching me smooth things over the other day with a resident who was miffed at one of our staff members for "ignoring" her, my boss told me admiringly that I can bull**** as good as he can. Which is pretty darned good! :lol2:

in more definitive words, your boss was calling you a diplomat.

now that's a compliment...and a gift.

I guess you're right at that, Leslie. :lol2:

At any rate, it's better than being a bull**** artist!

I'm not working right now (grrrr....I want to be!) so I don't talk to many people. :(

But the on-again told me the other night, "You have no idea how gorgeous you are."

Haven't heard him say that in a very long time.

Needed it.

For two straight days, I have elicited a forced-spontaneous compliment from my husband for the sole purpose of adding to this thread. Didn't like either of his answers: "you're dedicated to your job" (yesterday) and "you roll up your sleeves and get 'er done" (about two seconds ago). I want "you're gorgeous; you're sexy; you're the best thing that has ever happened to me!" I feel sooooo unappreeeeeciated!

I hope you all know I'm kidding here. :lol2:

I was told that me being independent is sexy.

I was told that I am 100% woman.

(not sure if that is a compliment or just pervish????)

definitely a compliment.

men like strong, independent women.( a real man does, anyway).

being clingy and needy is not sexy.

besides poi, what's not to love about you?

Thanks, Leslie :o

Now that I think about it. I have had several men tell that an independent and confident woman trumps an clingy one ANY DAY.

Men, what are your thoughts?

My boss told me today, "I'm not worried about survey, because I know you're on top of it. In fact, you're on top of everything!"

If only that were really the case......but what the heck, I'm darn close and sometimes I'm even ahead of the game. :D

Not a direct compliment but a friend told me today about her new boyfriend. I am one of two people at work who know about this, so I am honored that she shared with me.

I hear that I am strong frequently (and not meaning muscular). I don't think I am. I just learned how to cover some emotions from most people.

My SO looks at me once in a while and says "You are so pretty".:redpinkhe I guess not too shabby for an old work horse. He also compliments me for taking care of myself with little things that help me look a little better. A little mascara and and nail polish go a long way with him.
