You are reading page 25 of What comes to mind when you hear Donald Trump ?. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Are you a child? If not, how do you explain this behavior?

Vote him out if you don't like him and practice maturity.

I hope that a fraction of you work in psych, that way at least you might get help by proxy.

Really? GTFOOH...

but I'll bite, I'm in an argumentative mood.

No kidding.

I'm not really that bothered by your lack of civility, but somehow one expects a slightly more refined level of discourse on a nursing forum. But hey, it's kind of nostalgic. It reminds me of the white noise I'd hear from the cells back when I worked in police stations.

Since this is the tone you've chosen to strike, I hope you don't mind if I don't address you as politely as I would someone who writes in a less inflammatory fashion.

White Supremacists? What a cop out insult. And such a parroted response that it's hardly worth the effort, but I'll bite, I'm in an argumentative mood. Are you for cop killing? Because a small percentage of your constituents are, therefore by your logic, you must be too. Are you for blocking intersections and chasing down old people to harass? You must be, some of you do it. Are you for bashing people over the head who have a different views than you? You have to be! I see your ilk on the news, all the time. Do you believe in filling out fraudulent ballots, thwarting the democracy you hold so dear? You are! You might not have done it, but your party did. So, you did it too.

This is horribly poor logic. You can find examples of people on both the right and the left, as well as people with no particular political preference, who are guilty of the things on your list. I don't even have to go look for sources to corroborate that. With a sample size of over 300 million people, it's pretty much a statistical certainty.

What is the point of your list of bad acts? What do you think you've proven?

The fact that there exists bad apples all across the political spectrum isn't the issue.

One party has a leader who calls Mexicans rapists, who supports policies that seperate even very young children from their parents becuase their parents are suspected of having committed misdemeanors, who says that a judge can't be unbiased because of his Hispanic heritage, who tweets extremely rude insults at all hours of the day and night, who brags about grabbing women between their legs, who admires and cozies up to autocrats who terrorizes and murders their citizens, who expresses the opinion that there is such a thing as nice white supremacists even after a young woman has been brutally and deliberately mown down by a car, who kicks people while they're down as they are fleeing their homes and in some instances getting killed in raging wildfires, who disparages Gold Star parents when they dare express something less than adoring admiration towards him, who repeatedly attacks and attempts to undermine the credibility of the free press (that is an absolutely vital component of a functioning democracy) and continues to single out and target specific media outlets and individual journalists even after they've been sent bombs in the mail by an unhinged supporter.

The other party doesn't.

There is no equivalency.

I think we must allow everyone a turn at selecting the President.

Some of the worst despots in history were actually elected. Thankfully, history is full of examples when people didn't view that as "taking their turn", but instead had the backbone to fight for freedom, democratic values and respect for all human beings.

as opposed to: "OH gawd, where am I going to live? OH gawd, I need food. Oh gawd, somebody pay for my medicine! I need school money! I need clothes! I can't make it without help!"

I believe in assistance for an unforeseen, catastrophic live event. I don't thing 'need' should be misconstrued as an occupation. Sir, or Miss, what is your occupation? I'm a professional needer, and I've been promoted to an Peer Assistant Need Counselor. I coach my friends on the finer points of needing.

I must say, that for you as a nurse to make fun of and show condescension towards people who cannot afford medicine, is pretty darn sad. You seem to be feeling a whole lot of contempt for your fellow man. Does having this attitude contribute anything positive to your life?

The reason I ask, is that I feel the same level of disdain for people who STILL support Trump. I wish I didn't have those feelings because I don't consider them something to be proud of and they lessen me as a human being. It's safe to say it's one of the uglier aspects of my personality.

Well, those nice vaccines that you received, they came from research most likely done at a public university, with the help of government dollars.

Looks like your family benefited directly from lots of government help.

Too bad you can't, or refuse to see it.

Too bad you refuse to acknowledge how a cohesive society works.

Good luck to you!

That's where you and I disagree. You are a collectivist, I am a student of individualism. You turn up in mobs, willing to hurt people if you don't get your way. I quietly go about my solitary business, regardless of who is in office. VOTE, and accept the outcome.

I left a disclaimer in my comment. I am for relief when disaster strikes. If a person is actively participating in their lives, it should not be a life long disaster. So take your judgment elsewhere.

It might shock you to know that the other side feels the exact same disdain for you. We just don't riot, hurt people (a thing I would think YOU would be against as a nurse), shoot police, hijack elections, etc. You can research any of those activities online, you don't need to use memes.

Actually, macawake, I believe that this sudden eruption of snark has more to do with the documented Russian goal of sowing discord in the American electorate. I think our current effort toward civility has triggered a renewed attempt to start a fight.

As I said, all done, here.

You turn up in mobs, willing to hurt people if you don't get your way.

Could you please post links to the criminological research that shows that the political "left" are more prone to violence and commit more assaults, bombings and murders than the political "right"?

So take your judgment elsewhere.

I have no intention of doing that.

It might shock you to know that the other side feels the exact same disdain for you.

Why would that shock me? It's what I expect.

The difference is that I recognize that having these feelings towards others, is a sad thing. I don't take pride and revel in it.

We just don't riot, hurt people (a thing I would think YOU would be against as a nurse), shoot police, hijack elections, etc. You can research any of those activities online, you don't need to use memes.

Again, show me the evidence that supports your claim. Because you know, I distinctly remember several occasions when I've had to fight with aggressive violence-prone nazi types. While they've healed by now, I certainly had the bruises and the busted ribs to remember those festive events by.

Do you seriously think that only left-leaning perps shoot at the police? That's kind of funny.

You can research any of those activities online, you don't need to use memes.

I've never posted a meme in my life. I'm not about to start now, so I'm not sure what you're saying,

The crime stats I don't need to research. I already know them.

"Take your judgment elsewhere"

Bwahahaha

That's just not how this works but there's extra credit available for the unintended comedy.

Vote, it's your most viable and least violent option. I know I will be voting, that's what people who profess to be from a civilized society do. If you don't win, vote again the next time. And so on...

I'll leave you to your anger. I'm reveling in the payoff of voting.

I will take note that you try to spin my laughing at your self described argumentative attitude as an opportunity to project your anger onto me.

The little lecture on voting was a bonus example of some of what I enjoy most about reading posts here.

Actually, you sound angrier than anyone I've seen here in a long time. It's not required that citizens remain silent and only make their wishes known at election time. All citizens are allowed to speak out and express their displeasure at any time. In fact, it's our patriotic duty.

We just don't riot, hurt people (a thing I would think YOU would be against as a nurse), shoot police, hijack elections, etc. You can research any of those activities online, you don't need to use memes.

Who is the "we" here? Because if it refers to the right, several of these denials are patently false.

Take it how ever you like. I'm not going to argue with folks who throw out the term "white supremacists," to describe anyone who supports the POTUS. Yet pretend they need evidence to substantiate claims of voter fraud ( currently happening in Broward county, Fl. ), Antifa violence ( a constant news hog in certain areas of California and Portland, Oregon). The increase in Cop killing at the end of Obama's term and continues till now. You know these things are true. Your defense is to ask for 'evidence' as if you've been living in a cave for the last 10 years and have absolutely no access to news.

You enjoy being the one who assigns bigotry to every non-democrat, but pretend you have absolutely no knowledge of anything going on anywhere else in the country. You're a fake. Hence, not worth the effort of continued dialog.

I'll see you at the polls.
