What do you think of when you hear Donald Trump . For me it's Racist, embarrassment, disgrace and shame. What about you ?
Aug 28, 2018 by toomuchbaloney It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice. Anybody could do it; it required no brains at all. It merely required no character. Joseph Heller,*Catch 22

Aug 29, 2018 by macawake What do you think of when you hear Donald Trump . Listing all the things hearing his name makes me think, would result in a very long post and many of you have already heard my opinions. How I feel can be more succinctly summarized. I feel bewilderment and incredulity that millions of people are unable to see him for what he is. I feel profound sadness because some people actually do see him for what he is, yet they continue to voice their unwavering support of him despite that. Most depressing of all, is that some folks actually support him because of what he is. Edited Aug 29, 2018 by macawake

Aug 29, 2018 by Daisy4RN He didn't drain the swamp like he promised. I know, but this is why I am somewhat confused, is he trying and just getting resistance because there are too many, or is he really not trying? It's getting hard to tell.

Aug 29, 2018 by MunoRN I know, but this is why I am somewhat confused, is he trying and just getting resistance because there are too many, or is he really not trying? It's getting hard to tell. And that's a fair question; has the swamp not been drained despite Trump's efforts? Or is Trump maybe Swampy himself. I suppose it comes down to how we define the "swamp". I've always taken it to mean unscrupulous, unethical, a shyster, etc. At least by my understanding of term, these two recent stories would be examples of "the swamp": Christopher Collins: Congressman accused of insider trading - BBC News Charges against Duncan Hunter detail family vacations, football tickets, other luxury items with illegal funds
