Know it is time as dust bunnies are getting aggressive! Living alone lets me be the one to decide when to fight back...

ha!

dust bunnies are nothing.

i have 3 dogs who trail a huge, hairY mess in my house, every.single.day.

i brush them over and over again, and still, i can't stay ahead of it.

for someone who is semi-anally clean, it drives me CRAZY!!!:spbox:

and yes, i live in an old house that sprinkles its mega quantity of dust bunnies as well.

i can't keep up with it, but i need a clean, clean house.

movin' on.

what i was doing, is trying to tape some saran wrap over my dtr's ear.

she got a B tattoo yesterday (for Boston) right behind her ear.

i put the a&d ung over it, saran wrap, and i couldn't keep the tape down!!

it was frustrating, and to add insult to injury, she said to me, "i thought you were a nurse!! u can't even do this simple task?"

i won't tell you how i responded, so have a good one.

leslie

In between interruptions, I finally got to watch Battle of Britain through to the end; as usual, got a tear in my eye as I thought about the blitz, and how it highlighted the courage of the ordinary men and women who lived through it, contrasting it with the most recent burning of London, which can hardly be called cause for pride....

Weather's turned cold, so maybe I'll run myself a bubble bath and go soak with a book. I'm reading Coalescent by Stephen Baxter, book one of a trilogy. Shaping up to be quite a good story.

I was going to check my tomatoes but there is a fast moving rainstorm overhead. So I'm sitting at my computer nursing my mosquito bites.... rub with ice cube till num, then work in a paste of bakingsoda/water of medium thickness over and around each bite and let dry. This will cut the itch for a few hours.

Any bug bites...try antiperspirant, especially roll on.. works wonders on the itch.

Even works great on fire ant bites!

I have straightened living room, office and dining room.. rest will be another day. My dust bunnies also include dog hair and people think scottish terriers do not shed! Ha! Little do they know.

Need t go to grocery store but not right now..will just have to make do.

I hate shopping. I really do. I never missed it for the nearly 10 years I was a SAHM.

Unfortunately, a wedding shower tomorrow got me into Bed, Bath, & Beyond today.

That store is the absolute devil. I came out of there $100 poorer, not counting the shower gifts. I just finished getting my Shark handheld vacuum charged, my new toilet paper holder placed just right, and my new microwave- and dishwasher-safe food containers for work pre-washed and put away. All this found its way into my arms as I was waiting for the free gift-wrapping. I went through check out TWICE!

ETA: @onaclearday: I saw that rainstorm coming. I drove home in a southerly direction, and the damn thing followed me! ;)

Similar things happen to me in that store, and also Target..I go in to get my $4 generic med and end up with over $100 of other things I had no idea I needed. This is worse for me as i can avoid Bed, Bath and Beyond.. but gotta go to Target for the pharmacy.. I considered switching pharmacies but I used to use CVS and that same thing would happen. Another very strange thing about Target.. I need to use their restroom....no I avoid public restrooms like the plaque but never fails Target must put something in the air and no it is not just one Target..I have been in stores in multiple states and all the same thing.

Right now, I'm catching up on posts from people who are actually awake during the day :D Dad came over to take out the trash and take his piddly one bag for a month (talking what would fit in a plastic grocery bag.... I think he eats his garbage for fiber:eek:)... he got home in time for the skies to open up :D It used to rain like this with tropical storm remnants in TX.... I love that smell :)

Doing my laundry (assorted shirts and shorts for bed, and "good shorts" for errands- it's nice to be older and not have to look good to keep up with my age group!! LOL.... l generally 'match', but if I had a pair of plaid shorts, and a polka dot shirt of similar color was clean, I'd just put on my shades and go on with the day:cool: )

Maybe Target has subliminal messaging in the loo= causes the exponential loss of currency once you sit on the seat (assuming no 'hovercraft' peeing going on :D).... only place in the store where it's quiet enough :D
