I am looking out the window at the wierd doctor's house behind mine wondering now if they are going to move.

They have all windows it seems facing my house, and sometimes the wife sits at her kitchen table as it gets dark and in the dark with no lights on in her house, and I am cooking dinner and I can see that she is facing me watching me the entire time. Suddenly they have roman shades and they are pulled down all yesterday evening and still this morning. Now after a few years of living there, why suddenly the shades?

I am glad for them tho, I can pad down to the kitchen in my jamies and not feel like I'm putting on a show! I don't have shades in the kitchen windows but draw them in the family room in the evening so I don't feel such in a fishbowl. It'd be different if they didn't all just sit and stare into this house all the time.

I will send you some paper plates so that you never have to wash another dish...ever.

:clown:

Ah . . but do you have relatives who wash disposable plates and cups? :uhoh3:

That kinda drives me crazy. What's the point then of using disposable stuff??

That was my Kansas grandma! She'd also wash out plastic baggies if something like crackers was all that was in it. But she was resourceful and could make lace (the real stuff) could sew any complex thing on the fly. Used to make soles for my mom's shoes during the depression, etc.

I am reading up on diabetic therapy from our nurse educator. Some of the things I was taught by my preceptor seem off to me. Because it's my name on the chart, I want to do it right.

She's pleasant, willing to teach me, but her judgement just seems off, if you know what I mean. I've heard her reporting off about her patients, and her judgement on some things is called into question by the other nurses rather regularly. It makes me nervous.

I don't want to put details here.

Any advice?

Just reheating supper - garlic potatoes & grilled chicken. Made it the other day so there's nothing to do except tootle away on the PC and wait for the smell of burning :D

I'm not crazy on nuking chicken, I find it dries out, and whole potatoes - even baby ones - never seem to heat through properly.

Actually Poi, I have a huge supply of paper plates lurking in one of my cupboards; I buy more every Christmas, forgetting the existing hoard. OF COURSE I always buy the budget bulk packs, so by now I should be able to entertain half of Cape Town....

Dave, I can't take over the world until I can find a sidekick prepared to play Pinky to my Brain. Haven't found anyone willing to answer to that name yet.

I feel totally hung-over and since I did not drink, I think this is cruel. I woke up in same exact position so I slept very what I call "hard". I have killer migraine also. Feel ike s**t. I am trying to read the posts but some are not amking alot of sense. But I do understand Goonie is playing to take over the world and I believe her side kick Pinky will be Davey.

This is what I do not try to do more than one thing each day. I am totally wiped out..so wrong and unfair. Makes me want to cry.

I am going to find some food and lay back down, maybe when I get up the next time I will fell human. Bye.....

I am getting ready to go pick up my paycheck. Tomorrow is a holiday and the business office will be closed.

What holiday?

I just finished about an hour and a half of trying to figure out a student loan situation for my son - Citibank student loans were recently purchased by Sallie Mae and he couldn't log onto the new site. While waiting on hold with Sallie Mae's website up, my electricity went out.

I walked out back and there was a PG&E guy - I asked him if he just turned my power off . . .and he said "yes" but that it was back on now. He was replacing our old meter with a "smart meter"

He said "I was going to come to your front door but your dogs dissuaded me". I laughed and said "I don't blame you". He said he knocked and knocked on my back door but no one came. I said "We really can't hear this back door from inside the house".

So, when the rep from Sallie Mae came back on . . my computer was still off.

She decided to just wipe out the registration from Citibank and let me start from scratch online. Which I did. Whew!!!:uhoh3:
