Good Morning!

Herring, I'm not familiar with "Duke of Earl" and didn't know Gene Chandler went by that name.  I do remember the song though, it's a classic  but he as a bit before my time as a music geek.  It's no wonder a 30 year old wouldn't have heard of him.

Had a productive day off.  Stopped off to see best friend.  We got to talking and I missed the sunset which is at 19:50 earlier and earlier.

Work today and tomorrow.

Morning Tweety

Not a bad day at work, although some more changes coming, hope they won't prove too disruptive

Had a migraine yesterday, first in a while, thankfully got rid of it quickly.  Think I'm going to stop with the red wine, it's a potential trigger, I'll switch to white instead

Meeting J tonight at one of our usual places

After a stormy Monday we're back to cooler and drier temperatures

Good morning-

Not much going on which is ok.  I was feeling a little down last night so I watched my favorite feel-good movie, Mama Mia.  Now I want to go to the Greek Islands.

Tweety and Joe-hope work goes well for you both today.

Hope all are well.

Good Morning, I picked up the grandkids after school yesterday and brought them to my house so their dad could help his parents and their mom could go to the dentist. We flew paper and balsa airplanes off the deck, and they helped me make dinner. Dd came by and we shopped for a new phone and added ds's fiance to our family plan. It looks like we will get a $300 gift card that we plan to use to go see Cher in November.

I think Duke of Earl was slightly before my time, but my parents did not allow rock'n'roll  to be played in our house. They listened only to country western, or movie themes. I think there was an undercurrent of racism there. They liked Charlie Pride though, but I remember my mother saying "he doesn't even sound like a negro."

It has been rather humid here, too, probably not as bad as Stars. But I do keep a face cloth around for a face mop, especially when doing household chores or gardening. Back to work today, 1/2 day today, full days Th, Fr,Mo, Tue. We shall see what sort of mess the crazy one will leave me.

I wear a terry cloth headband to keep from sweating sunscreen into my eyes. Yesterday I mowed and trimmed the lawn. Probably won't do it again until after it rains.

When we got home from SIL's Monday it was 99 F in the house. After opening windows and doors it was 85 F in the house and on the porch.

Oh no, Herring!  How awful!  What a horrible tragedy.

herring, Oh gosh, how horrible! My imagination about this is too strong; I hope the smoke got them before the fire did. Either way, how frightening! It's haunting.

Quiet day here. Gave Nannie a 'bath' (no tub involved). Hubby took her to hairdresser. Did laundry.

That's about it!
