Good Morning to you all,

Come on wake up and come play with Sabby.

Great day yesterday, got a lot done which also included an emergent visit. I will have an equally busy day today as I have two circling the drain which I will add to those I plan to see.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening with hubby, sat and chatted after discussing the house viewing we had today, got a phone call to say some one was going through the house early yesterday. Thankfully I keep the house looking Purdy so no worries there! Have not received feed back from the agent at this time.

Got home and noticed there were soda cans on our driveway on the side closest to the house. I was getting our supper ready when this guy comes over on to our property, puts his fishing rod and bucket down, I went out onto our porch and asked if I could help him.

He keeps chatting on his cell phone so I asked him again a little more loudly, I went down on the front yard. He finally stops talking and said he came here at lunch time and wanted to fish a little more.

I just looked at him and said ' do you not realize this is private property and you cannot just help yourself by doing this, I would prefer that you leave' He looked a bit put out as well as 3 sheets to the wind! So finally he left after picking up his trash but it put me out and made me a little grumpy. Heck it would be the same if I decided to go over the road and start milking the guys cows without asking.

He finally left and again I reinforced that where he sees all the trees and mowed areas are private property, he can fish any where on either side but not on our property without asking. Grrrrrr and I felt like telling him to leave the booze alone!!

Hope you all have a most excellent day.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby. Hopefully you won't have anyone else fishing on your property. Perhaps next time you're in Australia you could pick up a crocodile for the pond. I bet that would keep people away.

Yesterday was better than Monday, fewer calls and no technical problems. Had a migraine (which I was expecting) but it went away. Had time to do laundry, get my hair cut, and do my grocery list and still have time left over. Very warm last night with storms. Had insomnia issues again, wonder if it was the heat.

For the 2 days I've worked at home I've noticed I'm calmer; it's still a crazy job with too much work and too little organization, but that doesn't seem to bother me as much now. I wonder if it's the office atmosphere. One of the workers who left told me that things are crazy at this place compared with others. Maybe being away from that is helping me calm down.

Have to go into work today for a monthly meeting. Then the grocery shopping when I get home. The cats seem calmer, not quite ready to be friends yet but more tolerant of each other.

Good day all.

Sabby, I recall many times people thinking that just because we did not have every inch of our farm fenced with land mines it meant it was a great place to kick back and enjoy. I recall that my father used to take one afternoon each summer to check out one field especially before we would start to cut it for hay. It took me years to realize he was up there picking up condom wrappers and other trash left by folks who felt it was a great "lovers lane". Yuck! Sabby, I hope your drunken fisherman does not return to leave more trash and try to catch fish, especially while so tipsy.

Joe, you "sound" so much more free already. Glad the job is finally a home based one. The cats will find a good level of family bonding, whatever that may be.

Liddle, I think I have a cold, also. Or an allergy season from the nether regions. How can it be a cold when it mimics allergies so well. I am tired of not being able to breathe. yesterday when waiting for the neurologist I had such a sneeze festival I thought it would never end.

for anyone interested I did note on yesterday's thread about my visit with the movement specialist at one of the finest clinics in Philly. Not for myself, but a friend who has an orphan disease involving movement and some brain dysfunction. A 3 hour appointment and full lectures about some channel conduction diseases! Much went over my friend's head but she followed most of it very well.

Today I need to pack to go to visit family. Just spending one night but I really feel the need to connect with family. I work late shift tonight and will leave early in the morning. I can't forget all my things to keep milk and cheese and possibly even gelato cold on the trip back. I will also try to score some rhubarb and pick up my maple syrup that I ordered back in January when I needed to know that spring would come after the maple trees were tapped.

I may go back to bed and try to get extra rest, knowing that I will work tonight and I am half sick. Does not matter if it has changed to a cold or just wants to, I need fluids and rest. So I think I will.

We are due for more rain today. Hope it does not rain tomorrow for the trip up.

have a good day.

care and share.

Good morning! Middle of the week day off (except for IDT).

Sabby - that's a bit scary. We live on the highway through our small town and people walk by all the time but don't just wander in due to 3 barking dogs.

Speaking of dogs . . . Rex gnawed on the arms of one of my new chairs/table combo my son got me for Mothers Day. He also chewed up our new welcome mat. I searched online yesterday and found that we can repair the arms of the chair but I'm thinking of changing his name to Marley. He was put in the pen for the rest of the day. He's got chew toys, bones, rawhide, etc. He has two dog-friends to play with. But he chews on everything - we managed to get a better fence up around the raised bed instead of the pickets I had put up a couple of weeks ago. All our dog-trainer friends say . . ."it is a puppy phase". Yeah, well, when it is destructive . . .it isn't cute. He may get relegated to the (large) pen during the day when we are gone.

The weather is gorgeous today - a walk will be in order after Spidey goes to school.

Have a lovely day.

Good Afternoon -

It's 12:24 PM (EST) here.

Just rolled out of bed and currently sipping on First Coffee.

Sabby_NC - People can be rude. Also, I'm so not a fan of drunk people. They can be scary and unpredictable with all of the freakin' ETOH on board. I admire you for confronting the rude man. At the same time, I'm happy that you didn't get hurt in the process. By the way, I never heard (or read) the phrase, ". . . milking the guy cows". LOL! That image is terribly disturbing and exceedingly funny! LOL! :roflmao:

Liddle Noodnik - Hope you're feeling better from the cold.

Joe - It is very nice to read that the whole working at home thing is working out for you! Honestly? I'm a bit envious of you! LOL! I hope that it all works into a long-time situation for you that gives you much peace of mind as well as career fulfillment. :)

aknottedyarn - I wish your friend well. And YOU are a good friend for supporting her. Enjoy the time with family. It's important to keep the "family connection". :)

Steph - Oooooooh. . . If any of our two doggie family members chewed on our furniture, they'd face a slow and painful death. Not by me, of course, but by "momma bear" (And Amy would be bear-like mad!) Hope your canine family members grow out of the puppy phase real quick (for their sakes!)

Speaking of "Momma Bears", Amy just returned home from a photo shoot which will be used to promote the cabaret-musical she'll be in later this summer. I believe that I've shared this before, but the name of this cabaret show is, "Desperate Housewives of Columbia County". It's a take off of the television show, "Desperate Housewives". With her make-up and wig still on, she looks like a "Desperate Housewife" who would tear out your heart if you crossed her in any way. LOL! She looks fantastic! Very attractive, of course! But there's a deep look of "Do Not Mess With Me" in her current get up! LOL!

It's a beautiful, sunny day outside today. It was supposed to rain today but there's no rain cloud in sight at the moment. Still don't know what we're gonna do on our day/night off together. We're supposed to have that phone-meeting with the other HOA member this evening. We'll see. In the meanwhile, I'm gonna scamper off now and spend some time with my "Desperate Housewife". LOL! :D (Although, to be clear, Amy is far from "desperate" and she's also not a "housewife" as we both share the household chores. But she can be quite the "momma bear" if you cross her! YIKES! LOL!)

Peace, folks! :)

Ted

Thanks Ted - we have a very large pen or kennel that used to be for the sheep my daughter raised in 4-H. Spidey used it the first time he had a lamb and buddy lamb but we changed to the ranch instead because the wienie dogs got into the pen and tore up the lambs.

It is partially under the grape arbor so it has shade at one end and then it is under a huge lilac bush at the other end. All the dogs are there now. Lots of chew toys, water, and they've been fed. Lots of room to run. They'll stay there until they can be supervised in the yard.

Just talked to a good friend from Arizona. Now I'll head out to take my walk.

Good luck on the HOA stuff
