Good Morning!

nursej22 - I'd be mad, too. Hope you can get either a re-imaging, a second opinion or both. Maybe your PCP can explain the use of the term, "normal" to you. It doesn't make sense.

Well. . . we went canoeing yesterday. It was a very nice form of outside activity to do on a beautiful day. As planned, we went to Otis Reservoir, and canoed to couple of our favorite spots. We managed to put that heavy canoe on and off the top of our car without too much muscle strain! The ONLY thing I should have done was put sunscreen on my bare knees (I wore shorts), and on my arms. I got sun-burned on the exposed skin, unfortunately. (Ouch!)

Today is the last day of my scheduled vacation. Although I'm ready to go back to work, I really don't want to. Oh well. We have nothing planned for today. Maybe go for a power-walk before it gets to hot and humid.

Below is a video of our vacation. I finally finished it last night. It showcases my new instrumental composition. I used the flow of the music to edit in the photos and snippets of video. The video is 8 minutes long.  At the end of the video, after the music stops, I added Amy's schtick that she does during our vacations when the situation presents itself. We have several videos of Amy doing the same thing but at different locations. We have fun! 😄

I hope all have a nice day today. Peace, folks! 🙂

Ted

Here's the video. . .

Hi Ted.  Thanks for the video.  No vacation for me this year it looks like, except for some holidays and some 3 day weekends.  Thankfully have a 3 day weekend coming up in a week and a half

Strange dreams last night, felt down while I was dreaming them and down when I woke up.  Rather odd as normally my dreams lack emotional content, and most times I don't even remember them

Work was good yesterday, not quite the mad rush Monday was.  Exercised and worked on needlepoint.  Stayed in as it stormed intermittently during the evening

Today should be a bit cooler and might be some rain around noon.  Should stop in time to do grocery shopping and pick up the bike from the shop.  Little rain the rest of the week and progressively cooler

Beautiful Ted!

No vacation for us either Joe.

Someone a couple blocks away has been setting off fireworks every night for weeks. It always set Pearl to barking. If they do it after ten pm I put the dogs in their room and give them treats. Soon they lie on their beds and are quiet. When I get up to go to the bathroom after midnight I ope a door do they can relieve themselves outside. Last night there were no fireworks, but both dogs barked at the back door at 10:00 pm. I went out an petted them without feeding a treat. They got in bed and I went to bed. I had a good sleep last night.

Couldn't get back on AN last night, not sure why, but at least things are restored today.

Hubby went out to get out of the house, driving around and who knows what-all else. He is supposed to be bringing lunch back ....well, speak of the devil, here he is now!

Will continue later...

You live in my neighborhood? They start at 9pm and go until almost midnight.

herring, do a little detective work and you just may locate the party to whom Pearl is slipping money so they will make fireworks noise, and then both dogs will get treats!!!  Just sayin' ...  😄

No Stars, what was for lunch??  Glad you are hooked back up with AN again!  Dunno what the issue was...

Joe, frequent three-day weekends are nothing to sneeze at!  It is nice to have just one more day added to the weekend!  I hope you continue to arrange those.

Canoeing sounds wonderful, Ted!  There is nothing like being on a body of water in a canoe or kayak, silently paddling along.  Loved the vacay-video, too!  Beautiful vistas and the music sounded like hiking. 🙂

It was 102 degrees when I left work today.  Picked up a few things at the store and at Rite Aid.  Saw five ppl in the grocery store not wearing masks.  Too bad.  I am not a big risk-taker so I wear mine.

Work was steady.  We did two nuclear stress tests, then I was free to plop myself in front of the computer in the office and plow through some of the Case Mgmt stuff.

In the past, our door wouldn't close all the way so we had the repair ppl out to make the door "heavier," or harder to open, so it was easier to close.  Well we have put up with that for a long time.  Recently I put in a repair request for the docs' office door (their office is next to ours) to get a new lock, as I just about broke my key getting the door open one day!  Since I was already in the "repair mode," I entered a request for our door "closer" to be adjusted so it wasn't as hard to open.   Well, this morning I got a knock on the door and who "to my wondering eyes should appear," but the lock repair guy!  He fixed the docs' door, and said he would send his buddy to fix ours (two different areas: his was locks, and our door needed the closer adjusted).

This afternoon when I let myself in, the key went in the lock like "buttah" and the door swung open so easily!!  <sigh>  What a change!  My office mate is off this week, I texted her to be prepared for the drastic change!

Have a good evening!

Hullo, back to work at noon thirty today. Got there a little early and the “chaos sisters” aka the crazy one and my super nice, very OCD coworker were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I finally finished getting report at 2 , then drove to a home visit for a blood draw. Because of the distance it took most of the remainder of the day.

before I left for work yet another person called from cardiology ( I think 5 different people, but not the doc have called since last week). I got a little huffy when she asked if I had any questions and I said I don’t know why you keep calling when he clearly doesn’t care that my arm is ruddy and swollen and I’m getting nightly headaches. Well, lo and behold she called again to tell me to expect a call from a vascular surgeon.
it finally warmed up to 70 today, but with rain showers.

Did she say WHEN you should expect a call from the vascular surgeon?  So sorry this is stretching on and on.  I hope you see some action soon.

dianah, yeah, guess I left y'all in suspense, there! Hubby brought sub sandwiches home for lunch.

But, j22,  what I want to know is what is your vascular surgeon's specific problem? I feel like I need to go and say, (with a Jimmy Cagney voice) "Don't want to talk, eh? Howd'ja like me to pinch your lips off, eh? Then ya CAN'T talk, see?"

Nah, I don't DO mean things, but I do admit I like to think up stuff that'd get somebody's attention P-D-Q !!! And I have been watching a lot of old black and white movies from the 1930's and 40's, so I absorb the attitude of certain genres and actors. Yuh, right. As a teacher at  college used to say, "Okay, you can fling it, but can you make it stick?"

Welp, I'm happy that another day's gone by .. see yez tomorrow. Sleep well, unless you are working...

J22, hope you get some answers.  Too bad one has to get snarly to get anything done these days.

Ted that was a great video.

Work was okay.  I started with three patients, got one OR and two ER admissions and discharged the three I started with so it was a busy day.

Decided to ask best friend for the money back I gave him for England last September.  He has been holding it for a future trip but Corona virus and his ongoing foot problems nixed that idea for this year and I've already replenished my travel fund myself without traveling.

I decided to go Charleston, SC next month for a few days R&R.  Going to be strange with mask wearing and some things maybe closed.  But will be nice. Can use the travel money I get back from best friend.
