Good Morning to you all,

Early to bed and early to rise but what a yummy sleep, it was cooler as the temps dropped last evening and of course we had a nice shower of rain so this gal is happy.

More rain on the forecast today, I will take every happy little drop that hits the garden and lawn so thank you very much bring it on.

Work went well yesterday although constant got a lot done but worried about a couple of my patients who are declining and I just hate to see that. Today will be pretty constant with 5 patients to review.

Enjoyed a delish supper hubby cooked when I got home from work then we had a nice leisurely drive with the dogs and am looking forward to doing the same tonight.

Hope you are all doing well and have the best day out.

Much love to you all.

G'morning Sabby and all who follow...

I get to meet my tiny 98's hospice nurse today. I hear she is just wonderful, however pt. said yesterday "Oh I just hate hospice nurses" (?!) She actually went to sleep during the first visit, on purpose.

And her dgt. says she has had a "bad experience" with hospice so she will not be there as she has "divorced" her self "from the whole process." I guess even though they chose DNR and comfort measures, they are freaked out about the reality of death. Pt isn't actively dying and her resp. problems have resolved so they are thinking pt will be discharged from hospice today. However, there is that 'little' matter of not eating enough or drinking enough and weighing 83.7 lbs.....maybe less. I weigh her again this morning, but I doubt she has added any weight. At this point it is "well, calories are calories", so anything we can get her to take in is good, but it still isn't enough. Half the CG's think that even though she is 98 and kind of sidling in to a frailer condition, she still needs to be urged and encouraged to go to meals in the d.r. and be more sociable, made to follow a routine. The other half (me included) goes along with the idea that at 98 and 'winding down', so to speak, we should follow her lead and allow sleeping/eating to follow her inclinations or lack thereof. The others are afraid she will 'lose ground' if allowed to do that. Plus, though the dgt. is kind of hostile to the process, she is trying to micromanage everything at one remove.

Ooops! Time to get dressed and go! Bye-eeee!

Morning Sabby and Stars

Fine day yesterday, although having some stomach problems in the evening. Probably that extra dark chocolate, sometimes that sets me off. Nothing unusual yesterday. Today going to the dentist after work to get a filling replaced, shouldn't take too long. Will work on my shopping list for tomorrow.

Hello.

I've forgotten to buy tissue for the last few weeks. Now we are out and blowing our noses on TP. I'll have to go buy only tissue.

Tiny 98 has put on about 3 & 1/2 lbs!!!! Must be all those Boost/choc ice-cream "milk shakes"!

She's not being discharged, they are going to follow her for a while. Dgt thought since she'd improved so much they didn't need Hospice anymore!
