G'day Tweety and all who follow! :wavey:

Well it's time to hit the hay here DownUnder ... my Wednesday's drawing to it's close.

Looked after No1 grandson today, the 5YO. Such fun and a sheer delight! I'll miss seeing him as often once he commences school next week! The next chapter in his young life. :)

Received a phone call from a friend in Sydney and she's coming to visit next week. Will stay here with me for a few days. I'm excited about that! Any ideas for making the guest bedroom welcoming and comfortable most welcome, thanks in anticipation! :)

Tomorrow - Thursday here in Oz- is AUSTRALIA DAY.

I was going to join a dear friend and her family in the city for the late afternoon parade and party / fireworks in the evening.

Sadly, her father died and his funeral was today in our hometown. I'll spend the day here at home and begin preparing the house for my guest next week instead. Well....that's my new plan anyway! LOL This retired life has no discipline. No set rules. Is totally flexible. Always changing! LOL .... The trouble is: I'm always setting myself goals for here in the house and garden...then sure enough, someone phones and next minute I'm off out socialising - again! LOL

Poor house and garden ... I'm a baaad keeper!:yes:

Sending warm wishes up/over to all!

Keep safe and well!

Cheers,

Grace :wavey:

Morning Grace and Tweety

Work was fairly quiet for me, and a coworker returns from vacation today so hopefully things will remain settled.

Nothing else really going on, did some shopping yesterday and watched Peaky Blinders, was going to exercise but got back too late

Starting meditation again, not focused at all, will need a lot of practice to get back into it

Meeting J tonight as usual

Good Morning, folks! :)

Just finished my 5th of 7 nights off from work. Been up most of the night (into the early morning) working on a new instrumental. Actually, I've been work on this piece for the past several days. Was hoping to have a few new compositions written during my mini-vacation. Will probably have two finished when I start a new piece.

Amy is home from her trip to Florida. She had a nice visit with her mom and siblings. Wish i went, but this cold has been lingering. I still have some congestive cough-thing going on. Ugh!

Gonna get snow tires once I'm done typing here. We had a combination of snow, sleet and rain yesterday and today. Barely made it up my driveway after returning home from picking up Amy at the airport. Been avoiding purchasing the snow tires because of the expense. But they do make a difference, especially when driving in slippery-snowing conditions. Gotta get to work on time! LOL!

Hope all are well, safe and sound.

Below is the link to the new composition. Enjoy! :)

Peace, folks! :)

Ted

Good cold sunny morning! The water is warmer than the air, but is expected to warm into the 50s.

Glad to read you all!

Drinking coffee.

Howdy!

I'm only caught up on the GM threads through Saturday. Plan to read the rest later this afternoon. Hubs left this AM to spend 4-5 days w/ his mom. I am off until Saturday. Have to leave shortly to go see our mechanic, as I threw the (L) front brake pad yesterday; lucky I can see him today to get it fixed!

See y'en's laydah, and this time I really mean it! (Last time I said that was, umm, 5-6 days ago!)

Morning - I'm having a hard time making myself do anything productive. Good thing I have a meeting at 12:15 p.m. That will drive me into the shower and get me dressed.

Maybe it is the weather. Winter-time doldrums.

I should turn on some Motown . . . and start dancing and singing. :singing:

The Temptations - Ain't Too Proud to Beg - You Tube

Smokey Robinson and the Miracles - Tears of a Clown - You Tube

These two will get you up on your feet !

(sorry, I am hopeless at making the links work!)

G'day Ted!

Just listened to your new composition.... beautiful!!

Thoroughly enjoyed it and it actually "took me away".... I visualised myself either driving up through the hills here and/ or sailing on a yacht with a cool breeze and a nice swell on the ocean. :)

How can I hear more of your work, Ted?

Is there a way I can listen as I did this instrumental?

I'm not exactly a computer / tech geek or overly savvy with computers, so it'll need to be pretty much an "Idiot proof" method!! LOL

Dianah sent me the actual CD's a few years ago of her band, and I listen to those often.

Congratulations on your talent, Ted.

Cheers,

Grace
