Good morning!

Amo, my condolences on the loss of your aunt.

Had a nice day off.  Visited the downtown St. Pete and enjoyed the sun and water.  It was a lovely day.  Lots of people out and about.  They say because Florida's the warm spot we're having a lot of American tourists visiting.  Lots of strollers.  Wonder if the millennial are creating another baby boom.  Usually we have more International visitors.  Had vegan pizza and ice cream.  Back on plan today.  Going to eat clean for a few days so as to not inflame my hand and maybe give the ibuprofen  a chance to help without inflammatory foods adding to the mix.

Overtime shift today.  I don't think it's my turn to float as I'm not in charge.

Morning Tweety, hope your hand is better

Ted hope your shifts go well

NJ22 I'm hoping the snow is done too

Hi Herring

Stars I hope your stimulus check arrives soon

Amo sorry to hear about your aunt

Work was fine yesterday, hoping the same will be true today

Exercised yesterday, and had the online version of our church's dining out.

Slept good last night but again had some vivid dreams, not sure why, is unusual for me

Tonight we will be doing a video series instead of our usual Bible study, something they do during Lent.

Weather was quite nice yesterday, in the upper 40s.  Looks like the snow is done, thankfully, as well as the very cold temps

Amo, I am so sorry for your loss.  Our rates here are sloooowly going down, but still not where they were before the holidays. Schools are opening up more and I hope this doesn't cause a bump.

It's a decent day here, weatherwise. I'm struggling to stay awake during a webinar about influenza. I am off this afternoon. I need to get some groceries, and pick-up a couple of prescriptions for dh, and stop by the dentist to make a payment. And I plan to get a run in this afternoon.

Good Afternoon -

A warm but quick hello before I go to work. . .

Thankfully, work was "Q" last night. My patient was a "Med/Surg Overflow" patient in our teeny-tiny ICU who had total knee surgery earlier that day. She did well. We walked up and down the hallway together during my shift! Twice, during the shift!! (Unbelievable the advances in joint-replacement surgery!!!) She was in my teeny-tiny ICU as an "overflow" patient because there was a patient with Covid-19 on the Med/Surg "Covid-19 Pod" admitted for strengthening (in our rehab program) after experiencing the worst of the virus at are larger sister hospital.  Our hospital is making all kinds of efforts to keep the Covid-19 patients and the post-op ortho patient separated from each other. THIS is a challenge because we are so freakin' small!! Anyway, my post-op ortho patient was scheduled to be discharged home (with VNA services) today. She'll probably be home by the time I go to work tonight. (Unbelievable!)

The rate of the virus is slowing down in our area as well. (Thank Goodness!!) Our church will be having in-house church services, again, starting this coming Sunday. There'll be no singing. But at least we'll be able to actually see each other as we attend the service together.

AmoLucia - Warm condolences to you and your family, AmoLucia. (((Hugs)))

Well. . . Gotta go and get ready for work! Peace! 🙂

Ted

Oh geezum-crow.

Hubby went out to pick up some pizza. On his way home he must have pounded down I don't know how much vodka. He atethe pizza, and then when he got up from the table he staggered. I was washing the dishes and went down to the den. I decided I'd go sit out with him on the front porch....and found him on his ass, hanging onto the railing, and the skin on his left arm had shredded from his little finger to his elbow, bleeding. I got something to wash his arm off and put a bunch of large bandaids on his arm. I had to get him to scoot on his butt, over to the stairs so he could put his feet down and haul himself up (with my help). Oh he was so sorry, he apologized several times.I told him I wasn't the one who fell or got hurt, and at least he didn't crash the car. But I am p.o'd. I told him if he insisted on drinking to make himself feel better, this time it sure didn't work. And further more, if he was going to go out in the car and he had been drinking, to tell me, so I could be the one to go out. (But I won't buy him any liquor!!) He said it was because of having to watch his mother that he was drinking. Heck, I spend more time with his mother than he does! Anyway, after he had a cigt, I  told him he needed to go up and lay down, he didn't want his mother to see him in this condition, or hear him talk with that slurred speech. I haven't seen him THIS drunk in a long time. I can tell when he's had a drink, even just one, but tonight beat the band. I 'spotted' him all the way up to his bed and it's a good thing I did, because he could barely lift his feet and only landed each foot partway on each step, and almost fell two more times before I got him on the bed and took his shoes off. I told him to please not try to get up because he doesn't have any sense of balance. I hope he just conks out while he's on the bed, as I don't see any successful travel by foot even to the bathroom.

Thanks for listening.

I am disgusted.

So, ten minutes later he's up out of bed, said he was going to sit at his window and watch the deer in the backyard. I told him that since he doesn't have any sense of balance right now, he should not even THINK about coming downstairs, and if he wanted something cold (non-alc) to drink, to call me. If he were to fall and break his neck, I'd kill him right then and there.

I'm sorry, too, but HE is much sorrier than I am.

So, just after I posted the second post, he scooted downstairs on his butt, and I'd gone up the stairs from the den to see what he was up to. I came upon him, standing at the foot of the stairs from the bedroom to the kitchen. I said, "I KNOW you're drunk, but just exactly how STUPID are you?" He made his way to the fridge, drank some diet Pepsi, and said he was going to come down to the den. After about 20 minutes he decided he wanted to go out on the front porch and have a cigt. So I went with him just to make sure he didn't fall again.

Then he said he'd tell me what really happened: That IDIOT took 1.5 mg of Xanax 30 min. before he went to get the pizza and then drank "just" two small bottles of vodka on the way back home. I reminded him of that girl (in the1970's?) who took Valium and drank wine and was in a vegetative coma for the rest of her life.

Just OMG.

 NOW I AM mad!!!
