Morning

A fairly normal day yesterday for me.  Work was decent, did the grocery shopping and went for a walk after work.

Will be a busier day after work for me today, meeting J for dinner then choir practice.  Choir starts getting really busy around this time with all of the extra music

Will be a rainy day today, and colder, might not even reach 40.  Looks like the next week or so will be a mix of 40s and 50s with plenty of rain

Good morning, Joe.

Sunny and warm here today. It will be warmer tomorrow.

Wally goes to the groomer this morning.

Making plans to see David Sedaris, in November, in Lexington with ladies from my book club.

I saw him years ago, at Prairie Lights bookstore in Iowa City.

For those who listen to NPR, I am sure you have heard the beloved Santa Land Diaries.

Should be fun, and something to look forward to in bleak November.

Have a great day.

Good morning-

It's sunny, but cool here.  It's not supposed to get above 50.  My older cat had her first spring adventure, going walkabout for 3 days.  My neighbor found her sleeping peacefully under her deck yesterday and brought her home.  She ate like a pig and went right to sleep.  Her record walkabout is 29 days.  She is microchipped and has her name and my phone number on her collar.  She will be 17 next month.

Joe-Glad you get to see J tonight.  I hope he is feeling better.

Nel-I hope Wally enjoys his day of beauty.  Seeing Garrison Keillor would be fun!

Stars-Good luck with Nannie.  She isn't going to change.  It's hard to believe she hasn't had a serious injury yet.

Hope all have a good day!

Not Garrison Keillor, BC.

David Sedaris.

I introduced Garrison Keillor at a fundraiser, years ago,for the public radio station I worked for in Louisville.

That was long before his trouble, that got him kicked off public radio.

Although, he did comment on my looks.

He told me that I didn't look like someone who worked in public radio.

What he meant by the remark, I don't know.

Wally is done at the groomer.

Time to fetch him.

The horse farms are gorgeous, on this Spring day.

Wally had lunch with the groomer's little boy.

He loves Wally.

Wally sat in his cat carrier on the kitchen table, and the boy at his sandwich next to him.

So cute.

My mind is gone.  I don't know where Garrison Keillor came from.

That's okay, BC.

NPR ran a story this morning about the Vanderbilt nurse currently on trial.

With medical errors, especially medication, no action is most often taken, so that people aren't afraid to self-report.

But in this case, prosecutors are going after the nurse.

This, after state BON, refused to revoke her license.

Listen on line, if interested.

Hello! Got stuff to do. Now that the rain is over I can clean the leaky add on room that the dogs sleep in. It will be good to have it nice for people.

Nel, you must not look like you work @ a public radio station ... BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT GLUTEN-FREE!!!!  You get a lot of weird comments, don't you? 😋

My doggers go to the new groomer at 9 AM tomorrow; hope she can do better with them than the last groomer did. They both look like desperadoes.

dianah, today I think I "Liked" 3 x before I got cut off. At night I shut down the WiFi, but don't sign out of AN. Don't see why that would make a difference, though. The site knows how to tell time and delineate days.

Anywayz, just so's everydobby knows, I LIKED YOUR POSTS TODAY!  🙋‍♀️ < that's as close as I could find to the old "wavey" emoji we usta use.

Nannie indicate her left lateral foot hurts; that area does look faintly, vaguely "puffy". She has a moderate one of those purple Capillary-Fragility type bruises on her L elbow. I gave her an Aleve.

She did manage this morning, to get up and put on her socks and get her athletic-or-walking shoes on and the laces tied, all by herself! So she ain't "all crippled".

She commented she's been a cripple all her life, and she'll probably end up crippled again before she passes. No, since the surgeries on her feet ended when she was 18, she was no longer crippled by her condition. Her condition is in her brain/head.

According to her, her left leg feels like "It needs to be cut off." I asked her if I needed to set up the out-patient surgery suite, and said that although I have never done any amputations, I'm game if she is.

She is getting dressed ... to watch the baseball game at 3 PM. I wonder if she's going to go out and walk today? Her getting dressed is not accompanied by the grunts, groans and sighs as it usually.

Prolly'll be back later.

I do get a lot of weird comments, Stars. I don't know why.

Nannie watches a lot of baseball. I couldn't do it.

Couldn't even bare to watch Red Sox live at Fenway Park.

So, dreadfully boring.

How does she stay awake?

No Stars beat me to the linking of "gluten-free" and not looking like you work in public radio.

CPR renewal completed.

No patients so will do some education videos for CEU's.

It is sunny and the temp is nice.  Froze overnight though.

Not much else to say.  Same old, same old.

Oh . . .wait . . . I did go to a winery yesterday, tasted 5 different wines, bought two.  That was fun.
