Good Morning Dear Friends,

Feeling some what exhausted already this morning, it has been a busy week so far and will not let up until our office is closed for Easter. My days are heavy today and tomorrow and if they toss in an admission I think I may have to sit in the corner and rock for a while. LOL

Nice rains yesterday although it was thunderous at times, especially during our IDG meeting. I received a very sweet text from our Medical Director which kinda made my head swell a little. Well not really but he stated ' I wish you cared for EVERY patient and if I am ever sick I want you to care for me', he made me teary.

I was feeling a little flat yesterday so I needed that l'il boost to keep me going, I have one dear patient who is close to the dying process, this patient simply amazes me with such grace and peace. With the diagnosis there should be pain but with the faith in Christ that this patient has who has handed it all over there in the bed lays a person who is leaving the family such a wonderful testimony. I have cared for this person for over a year and this is just as hard on me as it is on them but I love them all dearly.

I am truly blessed to have the sweetest patients and I enjoy each person that I visit. Love to take the time to sit and chat with them for a while or laugh which we do a lot in most homes. I firmly believe laughter is the best medicine.

Not sure what we will be doing this Easter long weekend apart from getting out hiking, would love to go back up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and do one of the trails up there, I guess we shall see.

No news on the house we plan to down size to nor from the people that came through the house but this will happen in HIS timing so no worries there. Shall continue keeping this place clean as a pin but sure will have to mow after all this rain.

Amazing how quickly those leaves start popping out after warm weather and moisture, I am driving around smiling at such beautiful views with blossoms and green pastures, hills and daffodils every where. I sure love my job when I have such glorious views.

Hope you all have a most excellent and blessed day.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby. It's great that your medical director recognized you in that way.

Another chilly morning, though it should be improving. Will have to make further adjustments to the diet, I cut out chocolate to see if that was causing migraines but got one yesterday. Might have to go back to the low-carb diet and then start adding foods to see which are the triggers.

Relatively quiet day yesterday, work was OK in spite of all the meetings.

Did the laundry and stopped at the library last night, that was about it. Did some research on printers, I don't have one right now but eventually I'll need to find one that will work with my tablet.

Good morning Breakroom Buddies! ;):wavey:

Up early for a patient death. Now I'm downing some strong coffee to stay awake before I head into the office to chart.

Not much to tell. Might head out for a mother/son vacation today. We shall see. All spur-of-the-moment kind of stuff.

Sabby - it is nice to hear that we are doing a good job.

Joe - hope you figure out what the triggers are for your headaches.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Good morning.

DH in the hospital since Monday.

R/O lots of bas stuff. He couldn't have an MRI due to the pacemaker. he is walking with PT now. he needs education and practice to keep the back pain tolerable.

I'll go see him again soon. This hospital has strict visiting hours 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. in medical-surgical.

ICU is different.

herring - good to hear from you. Glad things are better with your husband.

Our hospital doesn't have "strict" visiting hours but we are a small rural hospital so I think it would be hard to keep people out. For the most part, folks are very polite.

Good day all.

Sabby, I think all of us would want you to care for us and our family members if the need arose. Joe, we are getting your cold weather today. During the night we had a bit of the S stuff but no trace today. Our spring here continues even if it is cold. herring I am so glad your DH is getting some help. I hope they can determine cause and get pain decreased. Sorry you have strict visiting. I have always been lucky in that even when there were strict rules nurses always allowed and encouraged me to stay if I was a help to them. Keeping someone calm and not ringing the bell was a definite help to all.

Went to see PCP and saw new PA who was very good. Now have to get ready for work.

My DS called last night to let me know DGS has concussion that apparently was pretty significant. He does not recall much of the soccer game in which he was injured. He will not be able to take SATs with all his friends. He may not be ready for his physical testing for West Point. I guess it could have happened at a worse time, but his dad was not seeing that as clearly as all of us do. I am thankful all the time for him no matter what. I feel sure things will work out OK.

Best get going. I still ahve to dry a load of clothes and make something to eat at work.

Have a great day.

Good Afternoon -

Just getting ready to go to work. It's the last of three nights, then I'm off for the next three. The commute home this morning was treacherous! Throughout most of the drive there was a thin film of ice on the road with areas of about 1/2 inch of snow-crud on top. I was driving slow, of course. What worried me were the drivers coming the other direction. Most were respecting the road conditions. Others didn't seem to realize the potential ***CRASH*** as they were speeding by. ARGH!!! I guess this crotchety, old driver wants to live! LOL!

Interestingly, there's no more snow on the ground. LOL!

Amazing!

I read all of your posts. Herring_RN, glad to read that your husband is doing better. Will keep him in thoughts and prayers for continued healing.

Peace, folks! :)

Ted
