I think that modern Republicans believe that our government is of the people, by the corporation, for the wealthy.

Jul 21, '17I believe that Ryan is a big Ayn Rand fan, who of course depended on government entitlements at the end of her life. And I think Ryan got government funded survivor benefits as a young man.
Many so-called conservatives I have spoken with have this "I pulled myself up by my bootstraps" frame of mind, that is so naive to me. Unless you are out living off the grid I think all of us have benefited from government services: roads, schools, power grid, post office. And as I said before, a healthy educated work force strengthens our country.
You don't want to pay for an addict to recover? Fine, I don't want to pay for your military-industrial complex.
