You are reading page 3 of Two Texas toddlers die . . .. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

The children didn't live with a mother that cared adequately for their safety and well being. They also didn't live in a family unit, a social circle, community, or state that cared much about them based upon the information about the case.

As a country we don't currently have a stellar reputation for defending children, especially those living in poverty.

IMHO

She was old enough to know better. There is no indication that the pregnancies were unplanned and both girls appear healthy and well nourished. She managed not to kill them for 1 and 2 years respectively. Perhaps when more information comes out we will find out drugs or alcohol were a factor.

The report says others heard the babies crying but did not investigate. It sounds like her village failed as well. I think there are more adults there who do not deserve a pass.

Really, who would ignore the sound of babies crying in the night? I would not be able to sleep.

This women even at the age of 19, little education and little resources knew it waS DANGEROUS AND WRONG TO LEAVE THOSE BABIES IN THAT CAR. She was smart enough to get them out of the way so she could go party. She was smart enough to get her friends together, her party supplies, and not roast to death in a car herself.. I hope her punishment is to be locked in a car with the windows up in the middle of the desert for a week.

Clearly we are most heart broken over neglected poor children when they die. That's natural. What's not natural is for society to ignore them until then.

I live in Texas and prior to this incident there were 2 other incidents this summer. Both involved mothers killing a young child. To be more specific stabbing a child to death. Both of these single mothers had been reported to CPS who was following their cases. Why were they still in the house? They might still be alive. I don't know the rules within these agencies that are supposed to protect these children but there is a serious flaw somewhere.

Follow the money.
