BC we could use heavy rains here, it's been pretty dry

NJ22 that does sound stressful, glad you were able to get to the wedding despite all that

Dianah a trip to the high desert sounds nice

Hi Amo

Stars I haven't started yet, but will soon

Quiet day at work, did some more online eduction and called IT several times about some issues.  Found out I did well on our final  exercise, so today I'll start working with a preceptor.  Hopefully things can progess quickly and I can start taking actual cases soon

Fairly ordinary day otherwise, exercised and relaxed after work.  My herb garden has started sprouting

Need to request some time off for November and see if the cat sitter is available then

Weather has been cooler, in the low 70s.  Still not a whole lot of rain

Good morning!

Joe, good luck with precepting and with continued success at work.

Dianah, always nice to have something to look forward to.

J22, glad things worked out.  Sounds stressful.

Amo, that's a lot of specialists to keep you going.  🙂

Stars, hope you get some time to yourself today.

I too have heard nothing but trouble from the airlines.  I think the labor shortages and employees getting covid aren't helping.  I had weather issues when I recently traveled, or so they said.  I have a friend flying to Palm Springs today.  We'll see how that goes.

Got defeated yet again in bowling last night, securing our last place standing.  The team above us in 15th place lost as well, but we're weeks away from rising above them should we start winning and they keep losing.   Oh well, I don't mind.  I've been in first place and last place before.  It's all good but first is better.  LOL

I invited best friend for a little hike to one of the local parks and he said no because his ortho issues bothering him.  I feel bad and still hate to see that he can't do a simple walk.  Going to meet for lunch and just hang out in town.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning. I slept very well, for the first time in a long time. Maybe it was because I vented off a lot of my stress here, plus sleeping in my own bed, with the window open, listening to the gentle rain. At work today, not a lot going on. I want to tackle how we reconcile our meds. Our supervisor doesn't seem to see the issue, but the process is way too complicated. But of course, very nice OCD co-worker doesn't want to change anything, even though her way just doesn't work. And the crazy one just does what ever suits her in the moment, as apparently as her job share, its up to me to clean it up.

Tweety, I am sorry your friend doesn't feel up to walking. Maybe he could use one of those motorized things. I should think getting out would be beneficial for his psyche. I didn't have much trouble flying in August, except for the one low budget carrier I flew on kept changing a departure time.

Joe, it seems that your orientation is going somewhat smooth. I need to reach out to our IT fairly often. I have programs that need updating all the time, but it has to go through them. I let them accumulate and then send them a list.

Amo, that is a lot of providers to get to. I hope your transport is more reliable than it was earlier this year.

Stars, I hear ya when you look forward to some solitary time. I sometimes feel a bit trapped when it is up to me to decide on dinner everyday for the two of us, and then decide what will happen on the weekends, and make all the arrangements for everything, all the time. Dh used to do an overnight business trip every other week, and I used to look forward to it.

Dianah, your trip sounds like fun. I suppose it will still be hot in the dessert. We visited Death Valley one year in September and it was still pretty hot. But I love that dry heat.

BC, I don't care for driving in the rain either, mostly when the tires kick up al lot of spray and visibility is difficult. The kulfi ice cream sounds intriguing. I don't know if there is any Afghani food to be had around here. Perhaps if we getting some more asylees. There is a group working to sponsor more in our area.

I really should do some work, I guess. Take care all.

Good afternoon. I set my alarm clock for 9 AM to wake up hubby; don't know why his doesn't wake him up, but oh well. After I woke him up I went right back to sleep. Then Ozzie woke me up barking right after hubby and Nannie left for the doctor's office. Went back to sleep again. Woke up groaning, I guess it was right after they got back. I guess I was groaning because I did not want to wake up!

Today the gypsies have relocated to my right hip and lower back. and again to my left knee. I've got the equate version of the TheraCare wrap for the hip/back. I don't care for their design very much, but it was all that was available when I was at the store, and I need more heat than the capsaicin patches provide.

I'm still sleepy, but it is getting too late to go back to sleep, and isn't early enough for an afternoon nap.

Nannie was up and dressed and sleeping in her recliner at 2 AM. so she could be ready for and wouldn't miss her appointment.

Hubby said that doc isn't worried about Nannie's higher systolic blood pressure  at about 170/77. No med changes. Peachy! Thursday is the foot doc appt.

I've got to get stirring a little ... gently, easily, so I can be more awake than half asleep. No rain so far.

Amo, glad you got your flu shot.  What does PMP NP mean?

J22, best friend does get outside quite a bit.  He does some exercises in his condo's pool and sits and reads for a bit every day.  When he feels good he takes walks outside sometimes making a couple of miles.  As it was we had gelato and ice cream outside after lunch.  Hope you can get a good med rec conciliation system that works.

Stars, you slept through their appointment...oh well I guess that is some alone time.  I guess 170/77 isn't too bad for someone of that age.   Hope you feel better.

Tweety, agree, good George gets out some.  But maybe a motorized thingy would help him do more outings with you (and maybe travel??)??  Just might be another option.

No Stars, hope the gypsies leave or at least back off some.  Interesting that Nannie's MD is not concerned about the 170/77.  I suppose s/he doesn't want to risk it falling TOO low, but it sounds like there is a lot of room to play with.  Ah well, I'm not the doctor.   (didja finally wake up??)

nurseJ22, I would be all for improving and streamlining processes, especially ones you do all the time.  Can't argue with being more efficient!  Though I will usually revert to my standard reason to change things:  I'm not organized, just basically lazy!  😄 😄  I say demonstrate that it's a better way and  go for it!  //  Forecast is for mid-70's in the high desert for those few days, with a low of 45.  45 is pretty cool, for us!  73 is nice.  The high desert can get quite cold!

Joe, remind me what's in your herb garden?  And, did you finish the felt fox project?  If so, what's next?

Busy busy busy at work!!  Spent the morning fielding calls and gathering messes, and the afternoon sorting out the messes and organizing the leftovers for cleanup tomorrow!    Dh had a nice lunch with two friends who happened to be working in the area.  Good visit!   We are organizing either a Zoom or a phone conference call with the ds's.  Sat or Sunday.  It will be nice to catch up.

Have a nice evening!
