Has anyone else had problems finding the GM thread? Both Tweety and Amo said it wasn't located in the usual place in AN.

Dianah the service went well, only a few minor snafus, and his sermon was good too.  I did a little birdwatching Saturday although it was fairly cold.  The craft project is going fairly well, and a little quicker now that I've gotten past the initial steps

Stars here's hoping your DH feels less irritated, I think a lot of people today are in the same boat, finding many sources of stress and irritation

Another fairly quiet day at work, the new cases that were supposed to come have not.  Hopefully they won't all come at once.  There was still some work to do, which was good.

Fairly ordinary day otherwise, did crafting and exercise.  And stopped at the grocery store as the apples I bough had already started to go bad

Should be a fairly ordinary day today

Will be cooler today, in the 50s.  By the end of the week it'll be in the 40s with rain

Blue skies and sunshine; and it is in the low 70's, right where I like it to be!

Permit me to say: GAHHHHH! I went to the grocery store to get Nannie's 'products' (y'know whut I mean...) I also got a gallon of milk and some more bananas, PLUS $20 cash. So, I put the receipts and $ in my back right pocket where I always put them when I am leaving the store. Sooooo, when I got in the car I know I separated the twenty dollar bill out of the receipts. But then when I got to Subway to get Nannie's lunch sandwich...I couldn't find the $20! I searched through my pockets, through my purse, on the floor of the car, under the seats....but couldn't find it anywhere. So, I back-tracked and no one had found a twenty and turned it in. I dunno what happened to it. I'm hoping when hubby takes the car to get gas, he searches and finds the money. But otherwise I have to try to be glad that maybe someone who needed it, found it, and put it to good use. But this is aggravating! I told hubby he was going to have to put me in the "Home for Unreliable Dingbats".

Did I tell you that when he took the car to be cleaned out, he FOUND the car key that I lost months ago and had to pay $$$ to have a new one made. The key was under the back seat behind the driver's side. I don't know why we didn't find it before, though! So, now we have an extra key, after he takes it over to the dealership and has it re-programmed. So, then maybe my $20 bill will magically appear one-of-these-days? Maybe.

I don't have any trouble finding the GM thread. When I open the laptop and turn it on to the wifi, that page shows icons for Gmail, Youtube, and there's another little multicolored circle that I click on to get to icons for AN or yahoo. I then click on AN, and lo and behold, there's the GM thread. I click on 'entries' and up comes the list of dates/days for the diary, click on the day and date, and I'm good to go. But don't listen to me, because my laptop and I don't do anything like it's 'posta be done, even though I get to where I'm going ... most of the time.

Hubby is less irritated. He apologized to me before we went to bed last night. And when I came back from the errands and told him about losing the $20, he hugged me and said, "Don't worry about it. I've blown $20 on stuff I didn't even need to get. And maybe someone who found it really needed $20 and it was a blessing for them."  (Huh! Same thing I thought!) Glad his attitude has calmed down!

A guy hubby knows, who runs a gun shop, was robbed and shot 5x on Saturday. Fortunately the shooter was a very bad aim, as nothing 'crucial or critical' got hit. Also, there was an off-duty officer who came upon the scene exactly when the guys were running out of the store, and the officer got a shot off at the shooter who was still carrying his gun right out in the open. The robber/shooter's friends drove him to another county and dumped him off at a hospital ER and took off. Naturally, since ER's have to call the law when they have a gun-shot person come in....so, the 'gun-shot-shooter' was arrested shortly thereafter. The gun shop owner is coming home today.

Once again it is that time of day when the other three beings who occupy this house with me ... are all napping! So, I guess I will look at the newspaper and see what'all else is going on around here.

Hope all are having a good day!

Hi ho. I may find the good morning thread a little differently: I open Allnurses Breakroom, then click on the little bell icon in the upper right corner and look for the thread with today's date.

Not much going on here. A little house work, a little watching Hulu streaming,  paying a few bills, doing a little housework. I think the dishwasher is kaput. I took it apart to unclog the drain, as this has been an issue in the past. It's usually a piece paper label from a can ( we are supposed to wash out recyclables). I did find the cap from a root beer bottle, but it seems the water isn't spraying. I've paid to replace the pump once before, but the washer is so old, I will probably replace it. Great Christmas present, right?

I tried once again to get my flu shot. My pharmacy didn't have the high dose, which I want, so I booked an appointment at the grocery store. I need it for work, too.

Stars, I can sympathize with losing things. And grumpy hubbies.

Joe, what kinds of birds are you seeing? I saw a bald eagle at the park by the river yesterday, he/she was only about 50 yards up and 50 yards away, but I couldn't get my phone out quick enough to catch a pic. Big flocks of snow geese went by overhead last night again. Got chickadees and hummers in the backyard.

I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm going to go take a nap, then get up and make an attempt at making Chinese food for dinner. Wish me luck.

Hello all!  Home again, home again, jiggity-jog!

It was kinda quiet for Case Management today, which was good cuz I always have things to do, in spite of back-to-back phone calls with needs!  When the phone is quiet, that's when I can tackle keeping up with the Spread Sheet or with the post-TAVR log.

I picked up Mediterranean food yesterday.  We will have "Greek" salad again tonight (so yummy, especially if we add an avocado!).  Tomorrow night is other "stuff" (chicken shawerma with rice, hummus, and salad; dh has lamb chops and kafta [beef sausages]).

Ds and his wife should be flying in tomorrow, to spend a few days in So Cal.  We will go to Disneyland together on Friday.  Sunday our band is playing at the apple ranch, in Oak Glen.  I have Thurs through Tuesday off, so if ds and dil want to do something else, I'm available!  Looking forward to seeing them!

Dh is almost done with his jam session.  Then it's EATIN' time! 🙂

Have a good evening!

Somewhere on-line I read a recipe for Popcorn Salad...and it didn't sound exactly too horrible; if I can find it again, I may give it a try. I can't remember any of the other ingredients, though, so I can't tell you'n's anything about it except:  POPCORN!

I wish hubby was a little more interested in trying out ethnic stuff. He's a 'Beef-nik' kind of guy. Well, he likes chicken and seafood, as long as it is fried. Not much on vegetables; he likes the type of thing used as salad toppings, but his salads are always minus what he calls "lebbage" (lettuce/cabbage).

-------------I wrote the above about 3 hours ago, and just found it when I was going to close-down the lap-top! "At the tone, the time will be *BING* 12 mn.

Sleep well!
