Good Morning!

Recently woke up. Had a good night's sleep.

Yesterday was a nice day. After the rain, the air seemed extra fresh and clean. Spring continues to show itself as the leaves on the trees grow, and the flowers begin to bloom. Amy and I took our 2-mile power-walk, yesterday. That was invigorating, of course. We had a relaxing evening, and watched reruns of our favorite comedy shows.

I'm scheduled to work tonight and tomorrow night. Hopefully work will be "Q". In the meanwhile, I'll be doing the usual, "sleep, eat and work" thing. I'll probably do another power-walk around noon-time, too.

Nothing much else going on. . .

Gonna go downstairs and get me First Coffee, and take a good look outside to check out the weather.

Hope you all have a nice day, today! 🙂

Morning Ted

Yesterday went fine at work, was no reason to be worried.  Today should be good too

Crafting and exercise after work

Have been deciding how to use my time off given the disruption in vacation plans.  Am thinking of taking a day off every month for the rest of the year

This partially depends on what happens with the family reunion.  We're thinking about a shorter outdoor event somewhat later, July or August.  I've been encouraging the family to also reschedule the reunion for next year and to do so soon, as rooms at the state park fill up quick

Rain seems to finally be gone, will be up to 60 today.  Should warm gradually up to 80 throughout the week

Good morning!

Ted and Joe hope work is kind.

Been up since around 6AM.  Mopped the floors, did a load of laundry, did about 45 minutes of online yoga, and doing some lunch meal prep of beans and quinoa.

I enjoyed getting back to the gym, but still did my long walk.  I was the only one wearing a mask in the gym but continued to do so to keep me from touching my face while I was there.  Even so, people were respectful of the six foot distance rule as well as wiping down the machine with each use.  Didn't see one person not wipe down their machine.  So I felt good about being there.  Florida continues. with a disturbing amount of Covid Cases, but has not seen a jump since opening the economy and in fact had if this can be seen as a good thing, had a much lower death rate.  My region of over 2 million in population had 4 deaths yesterday.  My zip code reports 38 Covid positive cases since the onset.

Meeting best friend for our first outing to a restaurant in over 2 months.  We will pick one with outdoor seating.  I don't think he's entirely comfortable being indoors yet.

Waiting to hear from my boss if I'm needed to work extra tomorrow and if they are paying a bonus.  Yesterday they offered a bonus and they are doing it on a day by day basis so I said I would work only if there was a bonus.  I'm just too tired and burned out not to work for a bonus.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning Joe, Ted, and Tweety.

It must be nice to work out at the gym. Wearing a mask while exercising could be awkward, but keeping the six foor distance is encouraging.

I was tired, head-achy, and lazy yesterday. It rained too. Feel good this sunny day.

Gray, rainy, but not cold. Nannie is being a real P.I.A, as usual, and hubby has gone off on some 'errands'. I'm going to pay bills, and probably do laundry (again). Hope all have a decent day.

Overcast but a promise of clearing this afternoon. I am doing a home visit at 2 that requires a 30 minute drive each way, so hopefully the sun will be and I can enjoy the countryside. During the visit I have to wear my very tight, suffocating N95 mask and once I leave I rip it off and re-oxygenate.  I am going to do Zoom trivia tonight. I invited a friend to join our team. Dd and I decided we need someone more knowledgeable about music on board.

Our COVID cases continue to come in, 3-5 a day, but no new deaths since last week. The governor has lifted restrictions for elective, non-urgent surgery dental procedures. Dental offices are scrambling to obtain N95 masks and get them fit-tested. I am supposed to get a filling next month, but I would not be surprised if it gets postponed again.

Our local health department issued a recommendation for mask-wearing in public and Facebook with lit up with defiance. All I can say is bless their hearts and good luck with that. The hospital is looking for business and have a decent supply of PPE on hand.

I swear my hubby is more excited by my new car than he should be ... wants to and has, in some cases, put this and that on it ... he got the salesman at the dealership to get the special SOUL floor mats from another trade-in, thus saving us $130 for a set of four. Then, for the brake light in the rear window, he wants to get a chrome cap with the word SOUL cut out of it so the word "SOUL" shows in red when you hit the brakes. He got chrome covers for tire nuts; wants to cap the tailpipe with chrome. I told him that now I think of it as HIS car. So, trade in Nannie's car and get me something small, used, cheap and reliable that requires no duding-up. Cripes. But even Smart cars that look as big as the toe of a giant's sock, now are only available in the electric model, and costs twice as much as the KIA did. Pffftt!

*sigh*

No Stars, I nod my head knowingly...  it is supposedly "my" vehicle, however dh has it set up a certain way.  Of course my stuff is there!!    Hope the evening turned out quiet, Nannie-wise.

Just an hour before leaving work my computer suddenly shut down.  Power failure.  However, my office-mate's was up and running -- on a different power strip and different wall socket.  Five other offices' computers in surrounding rooms all went down too.  Emergency work order was put in (someone had a working laptop -- my office mate was out of the office at the time).  About 30 min later two electricians walked in.  Spotted our small refrigerator.  Growled that it was likely the culprit, not supposed to have refrigerators and microwaves in personal offices.  My office mate walked in just then and remarked she has been here five years, and it was there when she got here.  In otherwords, NOTHING in the office has changed, to cause the problem!

They took themselves off to the next office and the next.  Our clerical supervisor was a paragon of diplomacy and politeness.  They then left -- I think to re-set a breaker.  Not five minutes later, the computers all came alive!!  Hallelujah!  We'll see tomorrow if we are required to remove the fridge.  Hope not.

Then I got home and dh had my new puter up, ready to transfer data and icons and history from my little old one.  He had insisted I have a new computer, a faster one.  I had been using my little $300 laptop for almost 2 yr.  This new one IS faster, woo-hoo!!

And we got a Covid check.  Not 1200 but $394.  Well, it's something.

Ds's doing OK.  Cats doing OK.  One has the sniffles.  Bear is doing OK, eating well.   A couple of the festivals we usually attend have been cancelled, 2/2 Covid.  No surprise there.  For our June vacation (when we would have driven up to Grass Valley to attend the Father's Day Bluegrass Festival), we will go camping in the local mountains.  It will be a welcome change from work.

We might meet (with good social distancing) this weekend with our fiddler and just enjoy playing together.  THAT will be nice!

It has been nice here, partly cloudy but no rain.  Temp was 75 and breezy when I left work.  Found some nectarines and apricots at the store, yay!  Will enjoy them for breaky.

Better go, time to clean litter boxes.

Have a nice evening!

Didn't do laundry except Nannie's wet pj bottoms. Didn't pay bills, just didn't feel like dealing with anything. Just a bummer of a down day. Hope tomorrow isn't a repeat of today.
