Morning

Fairly slow day at work.  Got a bunch of new work to do, so going forward days should be busier

Took the bike into the shop, a wheel needs alignment.  Decided to get a bike rack, I think just throwing the bike in the back of themcar is damaging it and the car.  Though bike racks can be a bit of a struggle

Warmer temps through the rest of the week, 60s and 70s, but rain expected periodically starting Wed night

Good Morning!

Hope you have a good day Joe!

Herring and Dianah, hope you like the soup recipe.  It came out pretty good,  but is basic and easy.  I used less water to make it thick and served over farro.   Delish.

In a reflection of elective surgeries going on the boss reached out via group text for help today.  I declined, but might do some overtime in the coming weeks.

Noting much going on, but just didn't feel like working and interrupting my 4-day stretch.

Have a great day.

Good Morning -

Joe - We have two bikes in our garage that we haven't used in years. Each year we say we're going to use them. . . . Nope. We said the same thing ThIS year. Well, only time will tell, I guess. First, we have to put air in the tires.

Tweety - I wouldn't interrupt four days off from work, either. Enjoy the time off!

Hi Dianah!

JUST woke up from First Sleep. Not sure if I'll go back to bed for a couple more hours of sleep. It's sunny outside. But the temperature is only in the 40s. Decisions, decisions.

Think I'll get me First Coffee after I'm done typing here.

Work, last night, was nice and "Q" for the most part. I spent a couple of hours down in the ER helping them out. Took a "Tele-patient" up from the ER to the Med/Surg floor and had to stay in the ICU to monitor that person's heart on the Telemetry Monitor. This prevented me from helping out in the ER again. (Our teeny-tiny hospital has the ICU RNs monitor the patients on telemetry. Most other hospitals hire techs to do that job. We're just too small, I guess.) Once settled, the patient slept most of the night, and her heart remained in A-Fib with the rate between 50s to 90s.

I am off from work the next three nights! Like Tweety, I do not want to interrupt a nice string of nights off from work. I already did an extra shift this week when I worked the Sunday Day Shift as Shift Director.

I believe that Amy has an idea for another video project. She wants to do an "ad" for "Ted's Peanut Butter", and send the video in to the company for their consideration. (Yes! That is a real brand-name for a jar of peanut butter! L O L! 😛 😄 ) She bounced off some ideas to me this morning when I got home from work. Her ideas are quite funny! But, they're also a bit too much sexual innuendo in those ideas. L O L! 😄

Tomorrow, if it's nice, we hope to go for a hike somewhere. That'll be nice! In the meanwhile, I think I'll try to sit my fat butt down and compose some music. My original plan was to compose one piece per month. So far, I've only composed two pieces. I'm a bit behind.

Well. . . It's time for First Coffee!!

Peace, folks! 🙂

Ted

Good afternoon, people!

Where oh where did my ad blocker go? Oh where oh where can it be? It's not due for renewal 'til September and yet it is GONE. Makes me very p.o'd. Now I can't remember WHICH ad-blocking company I used, which makes me even more p.o'd. GrumpGrumbleCrab. I HATE all the pop-ups, and the margins being filled with ads all the time. Don't want 'em, ain't interested, don't purchase anything from them.

Wanna hear the most dubious 'compliment'? Nannie had been sitting in the van while hubby and I were talking to the guy at the KIA dealership. Later she said to me, "You know, I was looking at you and ___(hubby)__ standing out there, and, you're not nearly as big as people think you are."

Uh-HUH! Geez, glad to 'know' that. I just gave a short laugh; no thank-you's for THAT comment! Wow, I am underwhelmed!

Hello. Husband and I enjoyed an outing! We strolled a few blocks to mail his "Early Bird" discounted lodge membership check. For the many previous years he handed a trustee his check. He walks slow and so do I when with him.

A quick hello as I wait for our food delivery from a local Mexican restaurant. And I'm playing virtual trivia tonight with dd at 7. We tied for 4th last week and I am sure we can do better. I went for a 10 mile bike ride this morning after the rain stopped. I had my first tele-visit with the new counselor. She seems nice, but I'm not sure that we are on the same page, yet.

I got the socks all folded, even with the birds. If I sang, it would drive them away. Ted, you really should pump up your tires and go for a spin! Tweety, enjoy your stretch. I am much more likely to work extra with a little notice than spur of the moment. Herring, I trust that your husband enjoyed his time out.

Yay, food's here and I'm starved!
