Good Morning to you all,

Brrrr so cold here this morning and we ended up with the white stuff on the ground, that was after a sleet storm. Hopefully that white stuff will disappear today although it is going to be freezing today.

Dogs will remain inside as the temps are in the teens, shall run home at lunch time to let them out and decide if it is warm enough to leave them out which I doubt but they are such good boys inside and sleep in their beds most of the time.

Great day yesterday, got my visits done in a timely manner, enjoyed spending time with my patients and families.

Today we have our IDG this afternoon but I am prepared for that and always look forward to seeing our Medical Director.

Hope you are all doing well, keeping warm and staying safe.

Much love to you all this day.

Good Morning! :)

Just rolled out of bed. No First Coffee yet.

Had a relaxing day yesterday. Amy and I cleaned the home a bit. Then we relaxed together and started binge-watching "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix. LOL! It's weird how Netflix presents all the shows of one series at one time. It's embarrassingly weirder that people like my wife and me will actually sit and watch a whole bunch of them at one sitting! (We did that watching nearly the entire second set of "The House of Cards" when it became available for viewers!) "Orange is the New Black" is just OK. It's a bit predictable. But it caught our attention! LOL!

I'm working the next three nights. As usual, I'll be eating, sleeping and working. To be clear, I do lead a very boring life!

Didn't write any music, yesterday.

Hope all is well with everyone, and that everyone has a pleasant day today. :)

Ted

I see that Sabby_NC started a Tuesday "Good Morning" thread, too. Oops. Could a moderator please combine the two threads starting with hers. Apologies. :(

Morning Sabby Ted Esme

Fairly standard day at work yesterday, not too bad. Spent yesterday getting my printer set up and doing some CEUs. Tonight going to pick up the new phone and see if it works. If it does I'll be working from home this week, which would be good.

Thank you, ESME12. :)

Joe - Hope all goes well with working at home. Good luck with the phone. It seems that getting the phone up and running has been a challenge.

Sabby_NC - The temp outside is about zero. Our two dogs go out, do their thing and come running back in to be warm and cozy! LOL! Actually, Mayson, the larger dog, is sitting right beside me in my studio as I type. He's saying, "Pet me, daddy. I want to be petted."! LOL!

The furnace guy is coming with the new part this morning. We had him over a coupe of times during the week-end to fix the broken furnace. Although he managed to finally get the furnace up and running with a temporary fix, it still needs this new part. I don't know when he's coming. He said he'd come sometime during the early morning. Right now, I wish I was in bed sleeping. But he could come here any moment now. . . any moment now. . . he could be coming. . . now. . . or maybe . . . . . now. . . .

Oh well. . . Peace, folks! :)

Good Morning, Sabby, Multi-Poster Ted, Joe, and Posterity. AKY, I see you Down There. As I am a Terrible Typist, and Slow as the Molasses in January, you may Post before me!

Hey, AKY: is the Molasses in March Faster than the Molasses in January?

Enquiring Minds want to Know.

Good morning all.

It is cold here as well, Sabby. Davey, I guess I am the go to for country wisdom? Hmmm, molasses. Well, given how cold it is today my unscientific opinion is the calendar has little to do with the viscosity of this sugar product. Maple sap is different. Sap rises in March as new tree growth starts. Of course, when it is cold no sap is going to rise. Enough science. The answer is ... Molasses is only slower in January if Molasses is the name given to a specific maple tree.

Ted, I hate waiting for repair people, or deliveries, or phone calls, or anything that controls me like that. Hope he comes soon so you and your bed can get reacquainted.

Joe, hope all works out so you can work from home. I hate dragging myself out in the cold and know that where you live is even worse.

I worked hard on the spring cleaning yesterday. Threw out all my old makeup that has been around too long. I had some that had made many moves with me, just because it was in a zippered bag and I grabbed the bag rather than sort it out back then. I really don't use much makeup so the trash got almost full containers of face paint. Today I go back to work for the first of my "short" days. I will be working 3 six hour days and then 2 11 hr ones. In time I will be working in a different dept. during those short days and only covering specifically AA two long days when I open and close.

Many of the schools here are still on a delay or nearer the NJ shore, still closed. Our total snowfall was only around 4-5 inches but I guess the back roads are still not too safe. I know the roads I take will be OK, some even clear and dry.

Well, more coffee and some yogurt and I will be more ready to face the day.

Have a good day.

The furnace repair guy just phoned me and said that he's on his way. YEA! He should be here any minute now.

Any minute now. . . any. . . minute. . . now. . .

LOL! :D

Edited to add: He's Here! Yea! Hopefully the furnace won't break down again this year. (This would be about a total of 5 times that the furnace repair guy has been here. THIS YEAR. Ugh.)

Is he there yet??:nailbiting: Enquiring minds want to know.

Morning - gray and overcast here. Rained all night.

StNeoster - a fender bender eh? Yeah, I would be thinking about the poor student too. How is his daddy going to take this? I hope with a dose of compassion due to all of us have done something dumb with our automobile. Some are luckier than others but none perfect. If that car has insurance, all is well.

It isn't that cold here - first thing I do after visiting the bathroom (no spiders today) is grind coffee beans and make coffee . . . . . then I scoop up some dogwood and put in in Rex's bowl outside on the front porch. I let Rex out of his crate and off he goes to eat. Then I put Ziggy and Marla's bowl outside next to the basement door. You have to separate the dogs or Rex will eat everyone's breakfast. Then I come back and get coffee and read some bible and then turn on the computer.

Gotta go wake Spidey up. You all have a great day!

The furnace repairman has done his magic. The furnace is running, warm and quiet. The repairman has been paid for services and has now left. Hopefully all will work as intended. As for the bill? Thank goodness for overtime! OUCH!

Steph - It's cool to read that you grind your own coffee. We haven't gone that fancy with our coffee yet. Regarding the canine family members, our two dogs eat quite civilly together. The larger black dog will even wait until the small brown dog is finished with her food before he goes to town in licking her bowel. And when he goes to lick her bowel, it's quite the process. It brings out the OCD in him. He'll lick her bowel for several minutes. LOL! Then he'll go BACK to his bowel and lick his for several minutes more. it's quite the routine. LOL! He's a black-lab mixed with God knows what. (We haven't a clue to the make-up of the small brown dog.) Apparently black-labs are quite food-obsessive. Geeze! Ain't that the truth! LOL!

Good morning Sabby, Ted, Joe, AKY, Esme, Joe, Davey, and those who follow.

Glad the heater held out and is fixed.

Winter 2011 we needed a new wall heater when if was in the high 30s in the day and a low in the high 20s at night.

I had to get out the electric blanket. We would have had to go stay with a sister if it got half as cold as where you and many others live. Especially THIS winter.

Our houses generally don't have the insulation for such cold. Ours was built in 1932 by WPA workers.
