Good Morning!

Yesterday was not a bad day at work but it was steady busy and I got out at a reasonable (for me) 8pm.  They are short staffed today but let them know not to call me as I'm busy.  I could use some extra hours though.

Off today and doing laundry. Promised myself I'd go to the gym early this morning before doing other things.   Having lunch with best friend (I'm going to stop off and get some subs) and helping with his laundry, vacuuming and kitty litter.  He got a diagnosis of osteoporosis everywhere which explains the spontaneous fractures in his foot and the slow healing.  Glad that I insisted he go to his primary care and get this test but don't like this news.   But now he knows what he's up against and can start some treatment.

My annual eye exam is today as well.

Stars, I'm liking my stove just fine, it heats up real fast and clean up is a breeze.  I think a traditional electric burner is fine but glad to get ride of those drip pans that were always burned and dirty and neglected by me.  Keep up the good work at PT.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning Tweety

Was a surprisingly busy Monday morning at work for me.   Thankfully things settled down in the afternoon, which gave me time to recover

More exercise and cross stitch when I got home.  Also had to pick up some fruit fly traps, the petunias seem to be attracting them

Will be rainy today but hopefully only while I'm at work

They've loosened the dress code at work, we can wear jeans as long as we're not meeting with people outside the organization.  Which is kinda nice.

Good Morning!

Tweety - Enjoy your well-deserved day off today. Enjoy lunch with besty. 🙂

Joe - Curious. How much more to do for the cross-stitch project. Hope you share a picture of it when completed.

Been up for a while. Getting ready to start editing the other 2-hour long dance recital (the 7PM recital). Gosh, I can't wait to have this entire project completed.

Yesterday was beautiful outside! (No! I didn't do any mowing! L O L!) I took my  happy video-camera out with some different lenses, went for a short hike, and took LOTS of video of a pond with it's flowers and surrounding trees. The lovely day was a nice excuse to go outside and do some "artsy-fartsy" videography! Today, though, I get down to business editing that 7PM dance video. Later today, I'm going to do some shopping.

Amy has been working, practicing and going to rehearsals for the show that she's in. The show opens this Thursday. She seems to accept the fact that the Director will not provide direction suitable for the musical-comedy that's being produced.  I can't wait for this show to be over. It's been stressful for Amy and she doesn't need the stress, especially when doing something she normally LOVES to do. As for the theater itself?? Who knows what's going to happen. Sadly, arrangements were never made to "pass the torch" when the founder is unable or no longer managing the theater. There is a board of trustees associated with this not-for-profit theater. So, maybe they'll come up with some kind of plan of action. I don't know. As I shared before, it's just a sad state of affairs.

My next scheduled work-nights are Thursday and Friday. Off Saturday. On Sunday. Off Monday. Working Tuesday and Wednesday. And then starting the following Thursday, I'll be enjoying SEVEN nights off from work!! (YES!!!) During those nights off from work, Amy and I plan on doing canoeing and hiking together, when she's not performing in the show that weekend, and enjoy the rest of the summer time. 🙂

Hope all have an uneventful day today! Peace! 🙂

Good afternoon-

I've been feeling a bit blue these last few days.  I think it's part post vacation let down, missing my kids, and the fact that my older cat has been MIA since last Thursday.  She is a known wanderer and this kind of behavior is not unusual.  But, she now has kidney issues and that adds to my worry.  The neighbors have been alerted and are keeping an eye out for her.  Her collar has my contact info on it and she is microchipped.  She tends to stay in the woods and hunt for her dinner when she goes walkabout.  I hope she is ok and comes back soon.

I hope all here are doing well.  I had a minute and wanted to say hi.

Good late morning Tweety, Ted, Joe, and those who visit later. I made French toast and fruit salad for husband and the friend whose wife died a few months ago. The guy go really excited when a young man told Wayne Brady, "I just got my masters in nursing and my wife is seven months pregnant with our first child."

He was so excited to tell me in time to run into the room and look at the guy. I can't remember what he won.

Nannie says "They are having a contest...all the schools...they are collecting toilet paper....and drying it, and repacking it..."

Meanwhile, I started laughing, and she told me she was serious.   YIKES!

Okay, yup, I was correct about the right shoulder bursitis, AND, as a BONUS, I also have impingement of the ulnar nerve! Lucky me!

The good news is the shoulder and arm pains don't generate from my spine!

The bad news is, there are no appointments with Dr Fluoroscopic-Shot-Man until the 14th. So, 8 more days for that and I hope to Christmas that the shot works on my shoulder better than they have on my sciatic problems.

And more good news, the PA I saw was not the one I thought it would be, thank goodness. After the bursitis calms down, she will order PT for it, in addition to my hip regimen.

I told the girls at the front desk that they better get my room ready, I mean, 'cause, what's the point of going home? I have to be there at 9 tomorrow morning, and 3 days next week. Fortunately they are only about 7 miles away.

I was offered an appt at 'the other office', but it's about an hour away, and even hubby isn't sure where it is.

Heck, what's another week of pain? I've had one variety of pain or another ...I guess, going on for a year now. If the shot doesn't help my bursa, I'll be wondering if I am immune to prednisone.

And aw jeez, don't tell me if that's entirely possible! I want to assume it will help the shoulder like it helped my hip bursitis a couple-three years ago.

BCg, hope the gypsy-cat wanders home soon. I hate it when pets go walk-about!

Once again it is 'feed the dogs their supper' time. Want to get back here later, but I'm not sure if I will...I still haven't read up on last Wednesday through Saturday.
