Good Morning -

I'm at work. There are no patients in the ICU and no med/surg telemetry patient being monitored. Additionally, there (currently) are no patients in the Emergency Room, and the med/surg floor has only 4 patient and all of them are safely sleeping.

So, I have a little time to spend on the internet! :D

It's a "Q" night. Spent part of it down in the E.R., spent a good portion of time working with my ICU orientee. Because she has the ACLS recertification Mega-Code tomorrow, she went home early (at my request because the mega code is in the morning.)

Not much planned for today except to sleep, eat, sleep again then go to work again. Then, I'm off for the next couple of nights.

Hope all is well with everyone. I see Davey-Do roaming around the General Off-Topic Room. Maybe we'll bump into each other tonight. (Platonically speaking, of course.)

Peace. . . :)

Ted

Good Morning Ted and all who pop in,

Thanks for starting us off today Ted. Have CMS been by the hospital yet or are they doing the surprise strike without warning, kinda pounce on you deal? Don't ya just love that? Hope your night continues as well as it has for you.

Hi Davey I see you lurking down there, hope you are doing well too mate.

I had a crazy busy day yesterday, my days lately seem to come unglued very quickly at the seems. Still managed to get through although I had to reschedule some visits for later on but still managed to get done although I had to take a patient to our hospice home as I could not get symptoms under control. I had to have the ambulance follow me as they did not know how to get to the hospice home from the patient's home- Now that was a first! LOL

Relaxed last evening as I was T-totally exhausted but today should be much better due to our IDG meeting and I always look forward in catching up with our Medical Director.

Having horrid storms here at the moment and the dogs are not happy with the noise outside, pouring like it has never rained before with hail hitting the windows in the loft. I will get the dogs out for their morning constitutional before I leave for work and leave them inside due to the unsettled stormy weather. Plan to get home for lunch and let them out again, I do not like leaving them outside during rough weather and they sure as heck don't like it!

Prayers for those that have lost loved ones during dreadful storms/ tornadoes. Wild weather is starting off to harsh if you ask me.

May you all have a most excellent day no matter what you get up to.

Much love to you all.

Sabby_NC - CMS is expected to come anytime next week or the week after next. I can calmly say that the hospital staff (on all levels) is nervous. We seem to be pulling together to correct the (many, many) issues that need to be corrected. Sabby, hope you get some needed rest. Life for you seems quite busy both inside and outside of work.

Just read about the tornadoes! Wow! For those living in the tornado-warning areas, be safe!

Davey-Do. . . You're a lurker! (Good night! I enjoyed the postings! :) )

Ted

Sabby I hope today was less crazy

Morning Ted

Up early for me and back to work. I'll be glad when I'm working from home and can get up later. Going to go in early to check email and such.

Did manage to get outside yesterday in between the rains. Did some chores around the house and some shopping too.

Will probably stop at the shelter tonight and finally start the process of getting another cat.

Also trying to be a bit more spontaneous and less of a compulsive planner. Another goal of mone.

Good day. Sabby, I hope things calm down a bit. You are dangerously close to burning the candle at both ends again. Hope you don't have the terrible weather coming in. Those tornadoes were horrible. We have lots of wind and much rain is forecast over the next couple of days (3-5 inches).

Ted, I know how difficult it is to maintain everything CMS wants when you are so small. I have to tell you though, the best run codes and best outcomes of seemingly lost causes have come from a tiny hospital I worked at one summer. They did a great deal of stabilize and transfer as well as deal with their frequent flyers.

Joe, working on spontaneity is so hard. Some of us are programmed to plan. I am one who does some planning and then tosses it out the window easily. I am fortunate that flexibility is in my genes or in my head, whatever. Keep trying new things as they pop up. Put yourself in situations where new things will pop up.

Good morning Davey. A bit asocial this morning, hmmm?

I work this afternoon and mostly plan to read this morning. I am trying to be good to my foot. I suspect tomorrow when I go to the PCP I will be sent to someone else about it. We will see. The place is fairly clean, the laundry pile not too high. There is food ahead. Yup, a good day, as the wind blows and the rain begins, to read. I am finally getting around to "The Greatest Generation" by Tom Brokaw.

Have a wonderful day. Prayers for those who are weathering the storms and those looking to the missing.

LATE BREAKING NEWS...

Before I went to Bed this Morning, I received a call from my Mechanic.

The Blue Funk, my Antique '51 Chevy Pickup Truck that was T-Boned by a Big Rig back in July of '11, Taken Apart, Repaired, and put Back together but would not Start, STARTED today!

I don't know the Details, as I plan to meet with the Mechanic Tomorrow Morning, but it sounds like the Distributor had "Jumped Two Teeth". Which is Odd, as I had never Removed the Distributor.

I'll keep you Updated.
