Good Moring!

I'm at work. My two patients are safely sleeping with their hearts a-beatin'. (Patient #1 is in NSR, rate in the 70s. Patient #2 is in controlled A-Fib, rate in the 70s.)

Just wanna say a quick "Hello". Work has been "just right" busy-wise, not too crazy-busy, not too sloooooow. Pretty soon I'll be getting morning labs and EKGs.

Off from work for the next few nights. Tomorrow, Amy and I are going to NYC with some friends to see "The Book of Mormon". (I think I've mentioned this before.) We've seen it. Our friends haven't. Should be fun!

Well. . . gotta go. Hope all have a pleasant day! :)

Ted

Good Morning Dear Ted and all who pop in,

Glad your night is going well for you Ted, nice to have it just right not too busy or not too 'you know', LOL Hope all continues the same until you leave work. Nice to hear your patients are doing well which is a relief. Enjoy your time in NYC with your sweet Amy and friends, sounds like a wonderful time to me.

I ran my tail off yesterday with 7 visits which included an emergent visit at the request of the family. Some of my patients are changing and it breaks my heart but as long as they are comfortable and achieving goals then I am ok with that. It really is harder the longer you have patients but I would not have it any other way.

Ever so relieved to get home and flop down in a chair for a little while although I had to redo some stuff on the computer due to my computer being an absolute pain in the tonsil yesterday. I was so close to pitching it out the window but managed to calm down before that tragic event. :yeah:

Three patients to visit today then we have our Team Meeting but I plan to take a lunch break before then so I can be ready. I so look forward to these every two weeks. I really like our Medical Director and he loves coming to our team meetings as we give him the information that he wants to hear and we always have a good laugh about things.

Oh have to tell you all- had a house viewing last night- house sold and we have to be out in one month or less!!

Glorious day yesterday, got to 75F was just so nice to soak in some vit D and enjoy the warmth on the ol' bones, should be about the same today. Woo Hoo.

Well I must get off here so I shall chat with you later today but not before I wish you all a most excellent and productive day.

Be happy and smile.

Much love to you all.

Morning Ted I think you'll like The Book of Mormon.

Sabby glad to hear that you've already sold the house.

Came to a decision about work: After the family reunion in July I'm going to look for another job. I just can't put up with the chaos and unprofessionalism anymore. I'm worn out, I see no clear evidence that workloads are decreasing and this place seems to keep making the same mistakes. And it's been nearly 2 years. I've tried to be patient, to tell myself that the disorganization was a good thing, it meant they weren't strict or demanding. But I'm a highly organized person who likes to set demanding goals, and it's very hard to work for an organization that doesn't operate like that. Indeed, I came to corporate America looking for tight organization and lofty goals, not chaos and ineptitude.

Nothing will change for the next few months, I'll start working from home (will make job searching easier) and do the reunion, then take my time finding a better position, however long it takes. I think this is the right decision, I feel much calmer now that I've made it.

The rest of yesterday was pretty undistinguished. Came home, stopped at the library, picked up some things at the store, that was pretty much it.

Good day all. On my way to get my EGD done. I did get to have apple juice this morning, so I hope they can find a vein. As soon as I get dehydrated my veins are really tough to get. Otherwise pretty easy tapping. I will be glad to have it over. I am not convinced I have a stricture, I am just not convinced I don't.

Have to get going. have a good day.

Good morning Sabby, Ted, and Joe!

It seems like you were just building your log home.

AKY: I hope all goes well for you today.

Today I plan to get some eagle caught salmon for dinner. There is a special seven step recipe that starts with filling talon holes with butter.

Sabby_NC - I did not know that you had your home on the market. (I do have a horrible memory, so please forgive me if you mentioned it a billion times in the past!) I wish you well as you work towards your new living situation. What are your plans for your next living situation? Where are you moving? (There's Hospice positions open around these parts of the country. It's lovely here!. Oh yea! We'll also sell you our home, too! The home itself is relatively new. The property is well-wooded. We live in an area where there're LOTS of places to go hiking! And no, we don't have our home officially on the market. But we'd sell it to you, regardless. Just looking to get out from under a bunch of debt. LOL!)

Joe - It is nice to read that you have found some peace of mind with regards to your work situation. It is important to be happy where you work, as you know. I wish you well in your new chapter of career-making. :) )

aknottedyarn - Hope the EGD procedure itself is uneventful. More importantly, I hope the findings are equally unremarkable! :)

Steph - Hope the day ain't too busy.

herring_RN - What on earth is "eagle caught salmon"?!?!? (I can't read the picture that you posted on it.)

Cheers! :)

Thanks for the laugh everyone. Happy April Fool's day. Fortunately for me no pranks played on me today.

I am home with my family, my son stayed home sick from school today with a fever and cough. Will make some dinner (soup) soon and spend some time with my hubby and son nursing them back to health. :nurse:
