You are reading page 8 of Trump is Racist? I Don't Think So. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

The NFL is suffering from the public knowledge that they have tried to silence the reporting of the chronic brain injuries that the players have been expected to endure. The public is growing weary of supporting the NFLs expensive needs. The sport is losing fans, not because of the player protest, but because it has ignored the needs of the players in this matter.

Oh give me a freakin break. Baloney fits your name. I googled that foolishness and didn't find one thing on it. Nice try.

Well, more useless article that do not prove racism. I agree that some of the things he did have been sketchy but it does not prove racism, greed maybe, arrogance maybe, but not racism. Just proves that (some) people who hate Trump will see what they want to see.
So he says racist things and illegally discriminates against people because of their race and/or the country of origin or ancestors, yet neither qualifies as racist?

I don't hate him. I want him to have a good rest of his life.

I do NOT want to live in a country where the president separates babies and children from their mothers and fathers, where the president praises cruel murderous dictators, who insults American heroes like Senator McCain, insults Gold Star families, insulted each and every other Republican candidate for president with lies and name calling, where he creates a crisis daily, makes promises that cannot be kept, insults those he should negotiate with, who says some Nazis and White supremacists are "very good people" along with those credibly accused of raping under age teens.

I want him to no longer be our president so we can live in a country where the president behaves with common courtesy.

I can't help praying for us all. He verbalizes hate and advocates violence as a routine.

I pray we stop him before the United States is no longer a free country.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I just think that if you call someone a racist then you better know that for a fact. I agree that some of the things he has said are rude, obnoxious, immature etc, but I am not willing to take the leap to call it racism. That is something that I don't take lightly and would never say that to anyone without having firsthand knowledge bc its a serious charge to make. Again some of those things you have stated have been misleading/out of context. I already posted to long speech re: Charlottesville. As far as the Gold Star family, yea, maybe it wasn't appropriate but they put themselves in that position (for rebuttal) at the Clinton rally. I wish all people here to have a good life and I pray for our country also, but I don't agree that it is Trump who is trying to change it from a "free country". Did you see the new Congress woman who just got elected, she is a Democratic Socialist (her words), that should scare all of us!! As far as verbalizing hate and violence, the Dems have there fair share going on too. (ie Maxine Watters, the harassment of Sarah Sanders, Pam Bondi etc). I think everyone needs to take a step back. But, I am not sure that any of us can really do anything one way or the other, and that is my biggest fear, that is is already too late.

They started kneeling as a protest against Trump period and you won't change my mind on that part. Even Huffpost the liberal capital of the media agrees. They headed their article NFL Players Protest Trump And Racism In Games Across The Country | HuffPost. NFL players kneeled in defiance to Trump. They didn't kneel until Pres Trump was in office and no, they didn't care until he was in office. Why aren't they kneeling about all the black on black shootings in Chicago? Because it doesn't fit their narrative nor yours. They don't give one iota about the blacks. If you can find info where they protested prior to his election please provide me with that information. I'm open minded and/yet informed.

There have been protests of the national anthem since before the Star Spangled Banner was our national anthem, so that's not new. You are correct that far more players took part in the Anthem protests after September 2017 (they started before the presidential election) in response to Trump. Trump had called for the NFL to punish those who protest the Anthem, which is a clear violation of the US Constitution, and I can see where having a president who willfully violates the Constitution might move someone to the point of protest.

The title of this thread implies an opinion: "Trump is racist? I don't think so", and I offered my opinion, which is that I believe Trump to be a racist. Some posters have declared me wrong and have attempted to prove me wrong. Well, I am entitled to my opinion, as are each of us. I don't think it possible to "prove" an opinion; you can support it or back it up, but unlike a fact, it cannot be "proven".

Another thought, I don't understand why many Trump supporters proclaim that his words aren't important, that only his actions are, but then copy and paste parts of his speeches and/or proclamations as so-called proof of his lack of racism.

I agree that no one should be made to stand for the anthem. I guess I didn't interpret his criticisms and opinions as "calling for punishment" of those that didn't stand. I recall him specifically saying it was disgraceful and disrespectful. I don't recall him saying they should be punished. If you can back that up with facts and a link I'll go with it. If he said it I disagree.

In September of last year Trump said the NFL should fire players who kneel.

In May of this year year he said they shouldn't be playing or maybe they shouldn't be in this country. This was after the owners said they would fine players who did not did not stand.

The President of the United States using profanity and wanting NFL players fired for using their free speech to protest police killing unarmed (mostly) men and boys.

I think he has the right to say what he did because the First Amendment guarantees his right to free speech too.

If he did outlaw freedom of expression by executive order or trying to pass such a law THAT would be unconstitutional.

Prior to that statement a relatively small number of players were protesting, by Sunday of that weekend NFL anthem protests were suddenly far more prominent.

I just found the same right after my post. I agree. That's not appropriate.

"Trump" had zero to do with the NFL and their decision to make players stand or stay in the locker room. The NFL MADE THAT RULE because they lost money lol. It's a business to them. They can make rules just like your place of work requires you to follow its rules. Their decision was based on furious Americans that said we're not watching your s***. WE THE PEOPLE is what made em do it!!

Some of the NFL owners have admitted, under oath in court, that Trump influenced their new policy, as widely reported back in May.

I don't even follow football and I knew about this. How is it you're so sure you know what's what on this topic when you don't even know the pieces of the story that have been widely reported in the press?
