You are reading page 6 of Trump is Racist? I Don't Think So. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Believe what you want. Share what videos and causes you think support your point of view. But in the end remains this: ANYONE who continues to support Trump and his Administration should expect criticism. Expect your perception into important political matters, and your values to be scrutinized. Agree with it or not, Trump and his Administration is a dangerous and dark chapter to our country's current history.

TMB, I care because racism is a huge part of his appeal to his base, who are American citizens along with the rest of us. Their overwhelming fear of the "other" can, and has, become violent.

I suspect that it needs to be a generational change. As our non-white population becomes more numerous, interaction becomes more likely and that's the only effective way to counter the fear-mongering. I'm reminded of a story a while back of a second generation white supremacist who ended up leaving the movement after actually interacting with the people he was taught to hate.

It can happen ... but until it does, all we can do is out-vote them.

I cant take anyone seriously who see's everything as racist just because you don't like this President.

I'm guessing that it hasn't occurred to you that you have the egg and chicken all wrong here? People aren't seeing things as racist because they dislike the President. It's the things that they are seeing that make them dislike him. See the difference?

Your posts were, as I stated, only media attempts to twist the truth to further their agenda, not proof.

You've made several posts detailing how it's important to look at many sources and have an inquisitive mind (not the exact words you used, but I think it describes your advice reasonably well). Do you take your own advice?

You can fact-check for yourself that Trump took out full-page ads, back in 1989, in four major NY newspapers, calling for the return of the death penalty after a jogger had been viciously attacked in Central Park. The suspects in this case were a hispanic male and four black males. These five suspects were already under arrest at the time he placed the advertisements.

Fast forward to 2002, when a convicted murderer and serial rapist in prison, confessed to raping the jogger, a crime that the Central Park five had been convicted of. DNA evidence confirmed his guilt. There was no DNA to tie the five convicted men to the crime and the serial rapist already serving a life sentence, said that he committed the rape ALONE. This lead to the convictions of the five convicted men, being vacated in 2002. DESPITE this Trump, as recently as 2016, when he was campaigning for President, according to information in the following link, said that the five men were guilty and that their convictions should never had been vacated.

Central Park jogger case - Wikipedia

So Daisy, what do you make of that? Are you really going to claim that this is just media "twisting the truth" in order to "further their agenda"?

Again, you have been encouraging open-mindedness and looking at many different media so I have to ask you, is it only the liberal media who in your opinion has an agenda? Or does Fox News have an agenda too? Breitbart? The Sinclair Broadcast Group? If they do, what exactly is their agenda [in your opinion]?

And many people did fine the "protest" disrespectful and/or thought they should be doing it on their own time (not work time) and/or should "put their money where there mouth is" and do something constructive to help. Calling this out is not racist.

When you don't want the criticism of the kneeling football players to be considered racist, you aren't only defending the President and the vague "many people" in the above quote, are you? You are also attempting to validate and justify your own viewpoint, aren't you?

Birtherism.....was Political not racial

Isn't it amazing how other Democratic Presidents like Clinton and Carter, never had that "political" strategy deployed against them? Or any Republican President either, for that matter. Only your first, and SO FAR only, black President. Sure, it was politics............

Daisy, do you have an opinion on Occam's Razor?

Here is the full statement from Trump, sounds like some missed it! It may have been a little late in coming (clearing the air) from him but I think it clears it up!

I don't know if some missed it, but I doubt many did.

The speech you copy/pasted must be his SECOND attempt at this, the speech he gave on August 14 from the White house? The reason he issued a second statement was likely that his first attemp, on August 12 at Bedminster, kind of bombed.... His first attempt which was likely his own thoughts on the matter, as opposed to a more politically in tune speech writer's, was a condemnation of the egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence ON MANY SIDES, on many sides (repeated in Trumpean style for the benefit of those in his audience who need to have his primary message spelled out for them extra clearly).

We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry, and violence.

For some reason this same sentence is included twice in that wall of text speech. In the middle and at the very end. I guess it's the point the SPEECH WRITER wanted to hammer home.

We must discover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans.

Showing affection for each other and bonds of love... How very Donald.... (:whistling:) I mean, this is exactly how we are accustomed to hearing him speak at his basking-in-the-crowd's-adoration rallies, right? This must be his own heartfelt sentiments.

And on the following day, August 15, he made a THIRD comment on this at Trump Tower, where he came full circle and repeated his initial analysis that there was "blame on both sides".

But I guess, if you find his second attempt most palatable, you go with that one and simply ignore number one and three which don't fit quite so neatly into the narrative you appear to promote.

Exactly, actions speak louder than words!!

The way I see it, you are cherry-picking the actions which you feel support your opinion of him and all actions that contradict the desired narrative are unceremoniously written off as "liberal media" twisting things around.

Hope you got some sleep, we all need to take care of ourselves!!

Why thank you, I did. I work nights and I have a partner who works all hours and can come home at 11p or 4a, so being up in the wee hours is something I'm used to. I needed to go to bed though because I was making a ruckus, having such problems suppressing my chortles.

I'm really approaching this thread rather good-naturedly because it's the only way to survive it with a modicum of one's mental sanity intact. This thread is trying to sell a concept/version of reality that is quite frankly ridiculous.

So I choose to... :lol2: :lol2: :roflmao:

because life's too short for  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I wish that before stating the president had never acted racist they would use a search engine and look up when he and his father were accused of violating the Fair Housing Act in 1973 discriminating against Black people, and rather than win in court settled a couple years later:

Two sides to every coin, indeed.

For instance, the definition of the football players' demonstration as deliberate disrespect for the flag came directly from Trump. What the players themselves said was that they are kneeling in remembrance of and respect for the (mostly) Black (mostly) men injured and killed by gratuitous police violence.

I get why Trump would feel threatened by that.

Threatened by it my ***. Why didn't these big rich football players protest while Obama was President? huh? Colin Kaepernick kneeled in Sept 2016 so ok Obama was in office. The Trump-hating had already started. They kneeled because they hate Trump. Plain and simple like you. All those teams didn't give those black men that police shot one second of their time while Obama was in office did they? Explain that one.

And how do you know all that?

(Utterly OT, but anyone else notice that the argument has morphed from disrespect for the flag to hatred of Trump? Funny how that works.)

I remain impressed that the white supremacist can call Mexicans rapists, Muslims terrorists and refer to NFL players as SOBs and the sycophants will write and paste paragraph after tortuous paragraph to convince the world that we can no longer judge folks like Trump on their words or policy.

Instead we must rely on the propaganda.

Equally impressive is how those same people are blind to the reality that they won't even allow the black NFL players to state the nature of their own protest. Nope, in Trump's America the white people get to tell the black man what he thinks and wants.

It's called a little research. Look it up. Kaepernick was the first player to kneel. Trump becomes President and whole teams start kneeling. I will go ahead and add, since I can, you liberals seems to often not know facts. You just rant about things which you are uneducated about and can't hold a debate outside of throwing your feelings into it. Trump is racist to yall ok. Whatever. Well why don't you listen to this. Obama saying that immigrants should learn English. But Obama can say it cuz he's a nice guy. Trump says something similar and "protestors" start setting cars on fire.

Watch this please and try to have an open mind.

"Trump" had zero to do with the NFL and their decision to make players stand or stay in the locker room. The NFL MADE THAT RULE because they lost money lol. It's a business to them. They can make rules just like your place of work requires you to follow its rules. Their decision was based on furious Americans that said we're not watching your s***. WE THE PEOPLE is what made em do it!!
