You are reading page 5 of Trump is Racist? I Don't Think So. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Birtherism.....was Political not racial

Football....calling out rich, entitled football players for being disrespectful, not racial

Again, when one calls out someone as a racist, the burden of proof is on you!

How would you like it if someone called you a racist and you were not!

Birthirism political, not racial? Oh, please! Am I supposed to ignore the persistence and virulence of the claims of non-American birth far beyond those brought up over White candidates like McCain and Cruz? Not to mention the constantly circulating images of nooses, cartoonish depictions of monkeys and African tribesmen? Really? Not to mention his son's overtures to the alt-right during the campaign as well as his own denial of white supremacists as domestic terrorists. Context is everything - stop trying to gerrymander it.

As for "rich, entitled" football players ... many of those rich players come from the same communities that are being terrorized by out-of-control police violence. Hardly a breeding ground for entitlement. If paying respect to their murdered friends and brothers is disrespect for the flag, then I guess we now know what you, and Trump, believe our flag stands for. Meanwhile, whitesplaining their protest as something they never said, and trying to make the victims of police violence disappear from public consciousness is most certainly racial. As I said, Trump has amply demonstrated with his behavior re the Central Park Five that dead Black men are OK by him, regardless of their guilt or innocence.

And if someone called me a racist, and they have, I would examine my conscience and try to understand what they saw that led them to that conclusion. I was raised as a White Christian and racism was embedded in just about everything I experienced, from the history I learned in school to the stories I read and the shows I saw on tv, to my mother talking about how "they smell bad", referring to the Black parishioners relegated to the balcony at Sunday Mass during the war. If you are White and claim you are not a racist, you are either lying or in denial.

On another note: this dismissal of Black athletes as entitled rich folks is hugely ironic, given the right-wing complaints about lefties' class warfare. How interesting is it that the one time a right-winger acknowledges that there's such a thing as entitled rich people, they turn out to be Black? Didn't some right-wing politician or other refer to them as the "inmates running the asylum" and advise them to shut up and play?

Wow, sounds like you are projecting your personal experiences on others. I also was brought up Christian but never experienced any of those issues you describe. Of course I realize that racism does exist (from all races) but I do not see it everything. Your statement "If you are white and claim you are not a racist, you are either lying or in denial" is in of itself a racist/sterotyping comment!! So now I guess we see why you think Trump is racist, because you think every white person is, this is ridiculous!

Re: the football players, I said rich and entitled, meaning no matter what neighborhood they came from, now they are rich and in a place of prominence to do some good but instead choose to protest at work.

I never said "black" athletes, that was all you! "inmates running the asylum" seriously have you never heard that before, it means that the employees are making the rules...not management, or the patients are running the hospital....etc etc

There is no such thing as reverse discrimination. If a person of one race is discriminating against a person of a different race then it is racism, period!

Your posts were, as I stated, only media attempts to twist the truth to further their agenda, not proof.

I cant take anyone seriously who see's everything as racist just because you don't like this President. And many people did fine the "protest" disrespectful and/or thought they should be doing it on their own time (not work time) and/or should "put their money where there mouth is" and do something constructive to help. Calling this out is not racist.

Oh, I see -- everything in the press that doesn't support your beliefs is "twisting the truth to further their agenda," but your rather odd opinions about what is and isn't racism (birtherism, criticisms of protesting football players) are the final word and shouldn't be questioned. That's helpful, thanks for clearing that up.

Never mind. . . .

________

Racism is alive and well in the United States, along with White Privilege. It's even worse now with Trump in office. To believe otherwise is folly. To believe otherwise is giving the working definition to the word, "Denial". . . in a most dangerous manner.

I know, I know ... a bit like talking to a broken record, isn't it?

This is exactly like dealing with the propagandists during the last election cycle.

Why do we care if they ignore and accept Trump's racism? They are Internet warriors intending to defend the indefensible.

I was going to ask for some Junior Mints, just to be silly. Honestly?!? I don't have the stomach for it. I'm disappointed and, quite frankly, angry after reading posts that give the working definition to the word, "Denial".
