I can't be the only adult who's waiting to see these movies. So, which do you all think is going to be better? Toy Story 3 or Shrek Forever After?

Have to admit that the plot of Toy Story 3, with Andy growing up, hits a little close to home to me. I'm glad my kids are growing up but I do miss having them be little sometimes.

I love animated films. I will see both.

We saw Shrek last night - it was ok. Not as funny as the first movie. Danny loved it.

The first Shrek was awesome. Casting was perfect, plot was twisted, very funny movie. I also liked the second and third movies, even though most folks weren't all that fond of the third.

Was Puss in Boots as hilarious as the trailers indicate? We have cats so I thought his alternate reality was a scream.

I am going to see both movies.

You are lucky to have a little boy to take to Toy Story 3. My younger son graduated from high school last year and will be a sophomore in college and my older son graduates from college soon. The trailer made me kind of misty-eyed because I remember how they were so much like Andy and now, like Andy, they've grown up. :crying2:

Good grief, I am such a wuss.

My son desperately wants to see Shrek 3. I desperately want to see Toy Story 3. Have a feeling we'll end up seeing both.

I'm looking forward to Toy Story 3! My dad can't wait to take all of us "kids" to see it, the same way we went to see the first one 15 years ago... :D

They both look pretty good!

I have no shame in renting kids' movies, they are often really good! I remember when my ds was younger and I would say "That's one of the side benefits of having a kid". but I realized I didn't have to have a kid to enjoy 'em :D Great for a laugh! and none of that serious grown-up garbage lol... even adult comedy is too serious!!

I particularly liked the Toy Story 3 preview :)

I LOVED Shrek, and can't wait to see Toy Story! I work at a movie theater (summers, while completing my BSN) and it seems like everyone is seeing Shrek. I've sold as many tickets to families with grown kids as young couples with babies :]

I was a little disappointed by Puss in Boots though....it didn't seem as if he played as big of a role in this film.

We took our kids over the weekend to watch Shrek and it was funny...really cool in 3D. I'm not too excited to see Toy Story. I love the 1st one, 2nd one not so much so I feel the 3rd one won't be much better. I'm not much for change and to see Andy grown up is just odd, lol. I know I'll eventually see it, just not rushing out to the movies for that one.

Neither did Donkey.
