Good morning.

I had my set my alarm to get myself up early to get the dogs and slept well.  Went to bed past midnight.  Ate dinner after 10pm which my body thought was 7pm. Will probably take a nap and use today as a rest and recovery day.   Need to go to the grocery store.

Going to try and post some of the pics I put up on Facebook of my trip.  I have some a lot on my camera that I've yet to download.   Hopefully they will show up.

It was a much needed get away.  I spent a boat load of money and have no regrets.  I've been working hard and I deserved it and am worth it.

J22, that seems to be the theme here in Florida as well, not only is there a labor shortage in some industries like the hospitality industry that is thriving, employees are coming up positive and complicating issues.

Cases and hospitalizations are on the downswing here and the variant burns through us and moves on to other parts of the country.  Although the issue is critical care beds, those that are sick are taking up the critical care beds and staying there for a long time.

I will say that traveling, people were very compliant with wearing a mask, but the airport in Phoenix was very crowded and people really couldn't social distance six feet apart.  I'm torn between wanting the economy to keep getting better and getting on with life, and the surge that's going on.

Tweety they seem to still be showing up as boxes. I've found posting pictures here can be tricky

Stars I hope the vertigo continues to fade

NJ22 hope things stay calm at work.  Understand your DH's concern about possible Covid exposure

Was a fairly quiet day at work yesterday.  Have gradually been winding down what things I do and preparing for this last day.  Have a spreadsheet ready to let them know where various cases stand

After work did some vacuuming in addition to exercise.  Have been getting back into my diet, feeling better though sometimes struggling with hunger

Have to fill out my I9 form online, and will be receiving my computer equipment today.  Thinking setup shouldn't be too difficult

Tonight have our vestry meeting.  Hoping we get an update regarding the new minister's expectations, negotitations are supposed to start after our meeting.  Hopefully this gets completed soon

Weather has been nice, in the upper 70s, will be in the lower 80s today

Just testing photo upload from my phone.
After I “click to choose files” I select my photo. Then a lthumbnail of my photo appears. In the lower left corner is a + icon, and I press that to get the picture in my message. And hit submit.2A216EBF-659E-48F9-B535-76F2CE017D16.jpeg.61cddcde1486aee424564de47ec173d7.jpeg

Thanks.  I did the drop and drag but either but didn't do the "add to post" thing.  I don't know what the last picture is still a ? but ignore that.    The  last picture above with the tree at sunset (with the sun behind me) is one of my favorite pictures. Also the one below I thought came out good and is my new Facebook profile picture.

Each picture represents a major stop on the vacation.  The Hoover Dam, Zion, Bryce, Sedona, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon.

Bryce Canyon was my favorite stop as I didn't expect it to be so stunning and it was where I hiked and had a picnic lunch at the bottom.  Of course everything was stunning to me and so different than Florida.

I met my sister to get my dogs and they look great and are happily sleeping.  The coffee shop girls where we met thought they were so cute.

I took a nice hard sleeping nap for a couple of hours.  Still adjusting to the 3 hour time difference.

Going shopping to replenish my fridge with some healthy food.  I'll be honest that will I had several vegan meals, I wasn't 100% vegan.  But that's usually how I do vacations.  No guilt.994709750_GrandCanyon2.jpg.e6ab91d3d5f31bcfb29270a8c7e59909.jpg

WOW, Tweety, what FANTASTIC photos! I'm glad you finally went on the trip and now got the pix to post. What a fabulous trip it must have been...and such a welcome difference from being glued to work-work-work-work. Ahhh, a much deserved time off for you! Envy 💚!

COVID here is still clogging up to entire hospital situation. I read this morning that somewhere here in NC, 'they' are setting up clinics to give the monoclonal antibodies to patients to keep them out of the hospital. Four shots....one in each arm and two in the belly.

Joe, happy you are going to leave behind your other job; nice of you to set up the spread-sheet for those who follow you in that job. I always wanted to make sure the ones taking over a job I had been working  (usually private duty must-staff cases) were thoroughly informed of the patient's preferences and peculiarities. Some folks thought I was too....whatever....about it, but I just could not leave it all to chance. It's not that I didn't think the nurse taking over didn't know what she/he was doing, I just wanted the patient to have an easier time with the transition.

There is an awful mess resulting from the personnel leaving PCP's office and the "umbrella" organization that runs it. We have continued to have problems about simple re-authorizations of routine meds. Hubby had to go down to the doc's office and speak with the office manager, to express our displeasure of the simple things being gommed up so badly. And even then, after all that was thought to have been taken care of,  the meds at the pharmacy were wrong. We got 6 'emergency' pills of Seroquel instead of a full prescription! So, back to the Dr's office hubby went today and told them we HAVE to have the pills before Saturday or Nannie will have a downward spiral that NONE of us want to deal with. YIKES!!!

Good to 'see' you, j22!  Hi dianah! And where is our amoLu these days? And Ted, who we don't hear from since he is just playing on Facebook these days. Worried about not hearing from herring; hope she is okay. Who have I missed here?

Anyway, I am feeling somewhat better. The homemade chicken and dumplings I had last night helped me feel better, but I only ate half of it; I wanted to go slowly with eating, since I had been having mild nausea. I HATE to throw up. I know that when I feel strongly as if I am going to puke, I should just do it and get it over with, but ... like when I was a child, I try to do anything and everything to avoid it. Kind of dumb to fight it, because it would've probably let me feel better then, but old habits die hard.

My BP is returning to normal readings. Last night after I got up to pee, I decided that since it didn't make me dizzy to lay on my right side, I'd do just that. I fell back to sleep immediately, but OMG, when I got up later......very wooozie again. So I'll  just sleep on my left side until this nonsense has passed.

Hoping that I will continue to improve so I can drive over to the car dealership and have the new key programmed.

The ballgame today has been cancelled due to the infield still being so soggy from the steady rain they have had for two days in Atlanta. Last night's game....I can't believe they continued to play...the infield had to be tended to at least five times during the game. I was convinced that one of the players would slip in the mud and break an ankle. Thankfully that did not happen. And, just like the game the night before, the Braves looked like they were going to get ahead and win in the ninth inning, but at the last second they lost. Pooey! 👎

Okay, I guess that's all for now. Y'all be safe and have a good day!

OH! THERE you are amoLu! Hope all is well.

Monument Valley, Arizona. It's part of the Navajo Nation.  Many westerns were shot there.

Yay Tweety!  Thank you for the beautiful pictures!!  My favorites are the dam photo, you on the hiking trail, and the vistas (the monuments best).   I'm so glad you went, and had a great time AWAY from home!  (what is the next trip being planned??)

Joe, hope negotiations go smoothly and that you soon officially have your new pastor.  Have you recovered from YOUR recent trip??

nurseJ22, love the photo of you two!

No Stars, ugh with all the problems with staff changing and messed-up prescription refills.  I'm sure your patients appreciated your attention to detail, especially if you were leaving and turning their care over to someone else (new)!  Spreadsheets and info can be so helpful!  I hope you can get the meds situation in line (especially Nannie's mood stabilizing meds).  Such weirdness about your BP and the wooziness when sleeping on your left side!  Scratching my head about that one...  Have the gypsies been behaving themselves?  How is Ozzie?

Hope to hear sometime from herring...  we miss you, herring!

Ahhhhh, tomorrow is FRIDAY!  We may attend a memorial jam on Sunday.  It's traditional, in bluegrass circles, to hold a jam.  Sometimes there's a little service, sometimes not.  Ppl just get together and play, in honor of the missing person.  It's usually uplifting, as you KNOW the person would love to be there playing if s/he could!

Only 86 degrees when I got to the car today, after work!  No triple-digits!!!  Woo-hoo!

Have a good evening!
