Good Morning!

J22, my country-loving parents really enjoyed Charlie Pride's music as well.  He was part of the generation of "real country singers".

Herring, that is indeed such a sad tragedy about those people in the boat.

Slept long and hard and woke up just before the alarm.

Had a busy day yesterday chasing a patient's blood pressure all day.  She was symptomatic in that she was dizzy but not tachycardic.  Finally after three liters of fluid and a blood transfusion I got her up.  She had a low of 57/30 once while she was up eating and almost bought herself and ICU bed.  She may as well been in ICU the time I took on her.  Hope she's okay today.  I was dealing with the medical doctor but also called the surgeon to try and get her off the PCA which I knew wasn't helping but she had a major back surgery and needed something for pain.  She didn't hit it much because she was a afraid to but was miserable.  He never called me back.  Glad it wasn't a surgical emergency.  Humph.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Tweety

Decent day at work.  Had 90 day review, it went fine.  Work at home hopefully to start towards the end of the month, not holding my breath

Went out to dinner with J at one of our usual places

Today have grocery shopping and exercise after work

Got down to the 50s last night, will not get higher than the70s until next week.  Guess I can turn off the AC for a while

Good morning!

It's another gorgeous day here.  I hope to get out for a walk at lunch, even though the only place to walk is around the building and the parking lot.  I'm definitely going to skip the trip to the island tomorrow.  The morning is supposed to be ok, but 7-9 foot seas and wind are predicted for the afternoon.  There isn't enough Dramamine in the world to make that tolerable for me!

Tweety-You certainly did right by your patient yesterday.  She was lucky to have you as her nurse.  It just goes to show how important good nursing care is.

Joe-Congrats on your good review!  I hope you get to work at home soon.

Hope all have a good day.  Stay safe if you are in Dorian's path.

Good Afternoon ---

Overcast, in the low 80's, and windy. Supposed to rain tomorrow and be sunny all weekend. Guess the Bahamas got the worst of Dorian's destruction; I read in the paper it made landfall on the Bahamas THREE times on Sunday, and then stuck around to finish it all off. GADS!

Nannie is having a pajama day. I went out grocery shopping earlier than usual, so it seems now like it should be later than it is. Hubby is taking it 'easy' after sweeping and vacuuming the floors and dumping the trash while I was shopping. His knee has been much better the last few days; not so swollen, no longer red and hot. He cool-packs it in the evenings without me reminding him, and before he goes to bed I put the capsaicin patches on it.

OH! Hubby has spoken with a neighbor across the street who moved in about when we did last year....He spoke with the wife, who does private duty, and who says SHE will be glad to sit with Nannie when hubby takes me to get my radio (ga-ga) frequency whatchacallit on Oct. 3rd! w00t! Now *I* have to find out where the"H" we are supposed to be going for this procedure, as it is in The Big City, with which neither of us is familiar. Travel involves the Interstate that is under construction and  seems to constantly be one fricking mess of a trafffic -jamming crawl. I may call AAA and ask for a triptik or map w/ route marked on the map. Not none of them-there GPS crap-maps that don't show you anything but the main highways, but not the smaller streets. Anyway, that is soooo helpful of her to volunteer and a relief to know that the day's excursion is covered.

Congrats, Joe on your eval, although I am not surprised.

Tweety, ack! Your patient was in shock or near shock and the surgeon didn't call back?!?! As a frequent poster on the School Nurses thread says "another soul snatched from the jaws of death." Good work!

BC, I am slightly nauseous just reading about 7-9 foot seas. Urp.

Stars, that is fantastic that you have a sitter so close by. That must take some weight off of you and hubby's mind.

Busy day at work. I went to make a home visit after assuring that the hospital sent the patient home with a 4 day supply of meds, but of course, they didn't include the TB meds. So I zoom back to the office and then zoom back to the home and zoom back to the office. 30 minutes each way. And another home visit to a different client in the afternoon. I was a good little employee and reserved a health department car, that wouldn't start. Last night we had dinner at a little diner and I treated myself to a beer. I also had beef brisket tacos that weren't as good as the last time I had them. But my beer was really good, 😂.

Cheers all. Stay cool and dry.

Good evening everyone. Hope all are well and sane. I'm on the brink of insanity because there's so much going on.

To anyone on the East coast, stay safe and wishing you the best!

They've called off the rain...we've had barely a drop; tomorrow it will be partly cloudy and partly sunny, and HOT!

NB, I hope things slowdown and/or ease off for you.

j22, I hope you don't have to do quite so much zooming tomorrow.

Hello, and good night, tweety, Joe, and BCg ---

(Watching MeTV which has Jonathan Winters and Jack Klugman in Rod Serling's Twilight Zone.~~~~eerie! Then bed, maybe after Alfred Hitchcock's show...)
