Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm left handed.  Hopelessly.  I use the computer mouse with my left hand but switch to my right if I'm eating.  That's probably one of the few things I do ambidextrous other than drive. I use my right foot like a normal driver, although for years I would brake left-footed.  I can't even wink with my right eye.

J22, sounds like Thanksgiving is coming into play for you.  Hope you have a good day with family.  Good timing on the dishwasher.

Dianah, glad work went okay.  Those cookies sound good.

Stars, hope there wasn't any drama with your husband drinking, although I think socializing is good for him.  Enjoy the food.

I made the mains for my meal today.  A vegan Wellington and a vegan moussaka. I tend to stray from the traditional when I cook Thanksgiving.  This is the 2nd all vegan Thanksgiving. Last year I said I would make a turkey for the meat eaters but they passed and went along with the vegan dinner.  It was a hit so we're doing it again.  I have to make some side dishes and I'm good.

Just me, my sister and best friend.  Best friend is hosting since he has a nice dining room and a nice few of he bay from his condo.  My parents traditionally for the 30 years I've lived her have come down for Thanksgiving.  Covid killed that last year and mom's knee is bothering her so much she doesn't want to travel.  She needs a knee replacement but with her commodities and age (my guess) they aren't offering that option.  She will be 85 in a couple of weeks.  We've never been real close but we're not estranged and I would like to see them.

Took a sleeping pill because I've been so restless.  Got up once at 1AM because I was hot.  I forgot to turn the heat down to sleeping temp and was under the comfortable.  Once I feel back asleep I was dead for six hours and the dogs let me sleep an hour past their breakfast.  Now I'm sluggish.  I like the sleep but not the fog.  Life is imperfect I suppose.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Tweety that's good of you to do the main dishes

Amo I'm right handed.  It seems my hands aren't designed for the yarn arts

NJ22 it's good that the guest are bringing food as well

Dianah thanks for the recipe, going to try gingersnaps this year which are similar

Hi Stars

Happy Thanksgiving

Fairly quiet day at work yesterday, which was good

Had time to try out crochet again...after about a half hour realized why I've never taken it up.  Feels awkward and frustrating.  Not really a crafts person, I'm finding

Exercised and and stopped at Target, was surprised it was not that busy despite having a grocery section

Today will go out for a brief hike before going to my cousin's for Thanksgiving, as usual.   My sister and her family have talked about coming, which could be a problem as my cousin's house is small.  And my nephew's show choir is performing in the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, so I'm not sure why they would want to do yet more running around

Should be a bit cooler today, in the 40s I think, rain should hold off I think

Happy Thanksgiving to all!  I hope you all have wonderful days however you celebrate.

Things have been all puppy, all the time for the last 2 weeks.  I never had a puppy before, and severely underestimated the amount of work it is!  We have to watch him every minute.  Still, he is a love and I'm glad we got him.  The cats are slowly adjusting and will occasionally wander into the family room to check Remy out.

I will try and get back on here more.  It seems I never have time anymore while I'm at work.

Be well, and have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I baked half the cookie dough last night, and made the pumpkin dip.  Dh got the misshapen cookies and some dip, when all was put away. 🙂 He will be happy when I bake the other half of the cookies, probably sometime this weekend.  It's always a winner recipe!

We will head out today around 2:30 to ds's gf's mom's place, and be a couple of a crowd of 15-16 total.  Looking forward to some good food, meeting new ppl, and we will bring instruments, and will likely play a few songs after the meal.  It's who we are. 🙂

I am right-handed, oldest ds is left-handed.  I developed carpal tunnel many years ago.  It still bothers me if I use the mouse with my right hand, for any length of time.  I trained my left hand to use the mouse instead, and mainly use it for computer work.  It's actually more efficient, for I can use the left to navigate the computer, and use the right hand at the same time, to write things. 😄 😄

Have a very nice Thanksgiving!

Oooooh, Tweety, I think that is so odd-funny that you can't wink with your right eye! Are you serious? // Tough, though, to think I'm driving a stick when I am actually driving an automatic. I can get myself in trouble if I think I am shifting gears by using the clutch and then, instead, abruptly STOP! Whoopsie! No clutch! Just brakes! // If hubby had anything at the Drinksgiving Party, he was quite moderate; fortunately, he didn't have to have the neighbors accompany him back across the street like last time!

Joe, hope the gathering isn't too crowded, with the small house and larger # of people! Too bad it isn't warmer and people could sit outside visiting.

BCg, Photo of pup did not come through. (boo!)

Sis-in-law came by with a (?) cake; she and her dgt and her dgt's dgt. I can't believe my niece is 35! And her dgt will be 5 in March. Gosh, they talk so fast, and have the "Suthinn" (southern) 'axcints' rising and falling (loud and then fading), and all, so I could hardly understand half of what they were saying. Didn't have my hearing-aids in, but I'm not sure that would've helped. Anyway, I smiled and nodded with everyone else. It's easier than saying, "What? what?"

We aren't even through with Thanksgiving Day and I'm already wishing that Christmas was over, too. What a humbug, eh?

Hope y'all are having -or had- a good T-Day!

Aren't we all the weird group. I write lefty, but eat righty with a fork. Spoon is lefty, like the big pot cooking spoons.  Have to use knives in my left, scissors in the right. Needlework lefty. I'm so mixed, that's why my left shoulder rotator cuff injury is so devastating. // Right hand computer mouse.

Joe - I crochet righty, but I learned lefty. EXCEPT the chain stitch. For some reason, I put the needle down & switch from right to left.

Am watching Annual Dog Show. I don't care for dogs, but I like the Dog Show. Anyone else wonder why all the lady handlers wear SKIRTS???

Briefly caught a bit of Rachel Ray this morning. She was guesting Michael J Fox. So sad how his Parkinsons disease has progressed. His upper torso was constant motion, arms moving & hands waving. Cognitively he seemed all OK, but speech seemed rapid fire. Odd b/c a lot of his movies have been on recently. Coincident, I guess. But sad to see his decline. /// Now just want to see 'Elf'.
