Good Morning!

Slept o.k. but got up 20 minutes early at 4:40 for some reason. I knew I wouldn't go back to sleep so just lied there a few minutes and then go up.

NSIME, glad to hear you got that script and I hope it helps. It took several calls to my doctor's office and requests from my pharmacy to get my benzo. script refilled. I never really was able to get through to a person at my doctor's office and left that tepid message "if he wants me off this medication and isn't going to renew, please let me know so I'll stop bothering you". I gave up at the point and low and behold he renewed it. I was taking care of a patient of his and mentioned "I have an appointment with you coming up and btw thanks for renewing that script." He said his office is short staffed and over worked. Guess that explains the inefficiency but still. I'm glad I didn't have an urgent need like you. Unless you both go to rehab (and you might given your other ailments) having them done together is not a good idea is it?

sirI, did the furniture get delivered?

Ted, enjoy the days off. w00t

Anyway, I had a nice day off and never got the grass mowed but enjoyed cooking a nice lentil dish and a baked pasta dish for the coming days. I'm having my black bean and collard hopin' john soup for lunches. I binged watched "Travels With My Father" a British show about a young (28-29) comedian and his much older father (whose 77-78 and had children in his 40s) traveling the world together. It's cute. I love travel and cooking shows.

Working today and tomorrow.

Mornin' Tweety.

Don't ya just hate it when you wake up early like that? Me, too. My eyes opened at 3:30 and I just looked around and thought I heard the coffee maker whispering to me. So ...

Yes, the furniture arrived. Beautiful. It had quit raining about 45 minutes before they got here so it was a dry delivery. Yay! But, I didn't go to choir practice last night. I just ran out of energy and didn't want to make the drive in the dark. Dusk is particularly difficult driving and dark is awful.

Dh has jury duty today (his last). He's so excited. HA! I'm letting him sleep in.

I have a few things I need to do today, but nothing that will take a lot of time.

I like the BBC TV channel. I use to watch years ago, "The Vicar of Dibley", and miss it. Came on late Saturday nights. And, one that I cannot remember the name, but had a character whose last name was spelled "Bucket", but she pronounced it "Bouquet". LOL! It was cute.

Hope you have a good work day.

Morning Tweety and sirI. I sometimes watch British television too. I've seen The Vicar of Dibley, currently I'm watching Call the Midwife

Work was fine yesterday. And getting to the auto glass place was fine too, car got done on time

Unfortunately thanks to difficulty in getting a cab in time I was unable to return to the auto glass place before it closed. So I'm going to pick it up this morning instead. Which means I had to cancel my dinner with J last night, which was rather irritating. Although hardly without precedent, J has had to cancel dinner plans multiple times, and I've had to cancel before too

So I stayed home, went for a long walk, had 2 glasses of wine and watched 2 episodes of Call the Midwife. In a way it worked out, choir practi e had been moved to Thurs and I had already done by grocery shopping on Tues

Slept pretty good last night, unlike the night before. Did wake up with a headache early morning but took acetaminophen and went back to sleep

Today I have choir practice tonight, nothing else really scheduled

Hi Joe,

Wish they would show some VofD reruns. I've not see any "Call the Midwife". Pretty good?

Glad you slept better .. boo on the h/a. I've done the same and taking what I call, "preventative" Tylenol, before I go to bed seems to help lots.

Hope you get the car back w/o an issue. Have a good practice later. And, just make it up with 'J'.

I've never watched, Call The Midwife, Siri, but I read the triology, over the summer for book club. The books were excellent.

I binged on Nashville, yesterday and last night. The music is so good, and I love Connie Britton's character, Rayna James.

I never watched Friday Night Lights, but Connie Britton was in that series, too, and supposedly very good.

I agree with Tweety, Stars, and think you and hubby would be setting yourselves up for a hard time, if you scheduled operative precedures, at the same time.

Biggie's stall wasn't too bad, last night. I expected worse.

But he nicked himself on his left, back ankle, and I hosed it off with water, and put Corona ointment on it.

It didn't hurt, but he behaved like a baby whenever I touched the small wound.

Have a great day.

Hey Lil Nel

I'm going to watch the Call the Midwife. Thanks.

I saw the first episode of Nashville and then decided I couldn't get hooked on another series. One of the characters (Hayden Panettiere) played a character on Guiding Light many years ago. I always liked her and seeing her in Nashville, she's grown to a fine actress.

I also tend to agree with ya'll, Lil Nel, about scheduling simultaneous surgeries and recoveries. My dh and I contemplated doing the same thing (knee replacements). Had we done that, I would have been the one to greatly hold back his recovery. You never know, NSIME, what events can occur that will sabotage what we think is a well thought out plan. But, then again, my surgeon wanted me to do one knee and then the 2nd one 2 weeks later. That didn't happen either. :) Just see what ya'lls Surgeon(s) think ...

Hope Biggie's wound heals w/o any problem.

You have a great day, too. :)

Morning-

I had to be in early for a 7:30 AM staff meeting. Not a tragedy, but a bit irritating when I don't start until 10. It was a kind of a rah-rah, we're all a team kind of thing. Meh-I would have preferred the extra 90 minutes of sleep. Tonight I have a continuing education program to go to, so I probably won't get home til after 9. We will be fed, so it's all good.

I bought a warm snuggly bed for my older cat, with the hopes that she would sleep in it and not on my feet every night. She loves the bed, but only if it's on my bed. She won't go in it if I put it on the floor. Typical cat behavior!

Tweety-Hope the "dreaded Thursday" goes well for you.

Siri-Glad you got your furniture and conditions were dry. Hope DH doesn't get stuck on a jury.

Joe-Sorry you missed your date with J. Car stuff can be so irritating.

Nel-How did Biggie cut himself?

Stars-I agree with the rest. I think having both you and DH down at the same time could be problematic. But, I do like the idea of respite care for Nannie. Maybe you should try it for weekend to see if it works? If so, maybe once a month so you get a break?

Gonna go do a few ups and downs on the stairs before my day starts. At least it's a little exercise.

Morning, BC.

I'm laughing about your cat. Yup, so typical. LOL!!

So early meeting and late CE? Yuck. Once I'm home I literally HATE to venture out again. I might have to feign some weird illness to stay at home. HAHAHA!

Have a good day. :)

Thanks, Joe. I'm gonna watch some episodes ...

I'm loving a show called "How to Get Away with Murder". I think it's the 4th season (?) ... not sure. Stars Viola Davis (Law Prof) with a group of law students.

Give Nashville another try, when you are ready, Siri.

I thought the first episode was kind of dull and predictable.

But it gets better!!!

And I love that ALL the characters do their own singing, and they use REAL Nashville musicians in the bands.

Buddy Miller is music director, and I think T. Bone Burnett is somewhere in there too. He would be the reason the music is so good!

Hope your day gets, better, BC.

But there is bad news: RBG is hospitalized. She fell in her office yesterday, and apparently broke three ribs.

In true, RBG style, she went home, not to a doctor, but injuries became painful.

Fingers and toes crossed that she recovers nicely.

Siri, the one you couldn't recall was "Keeping Up Appearances" and yes Hyacinth Boo-Kay (not BUCKET!!!) is a scream in it!

Dh and I love Call the Midwife, hope you enjoy it too!

VoD, hmmmm, will have to look that one up.

We just finished The Orville. Take-off on Star Trek by Seth McFarlane, who acts in it, produces, and directs (and wrote at least one of the episodes).

We loved Poirot, were sad to see the end of those seasons.

Have seen all of Murdoch's Mysteries, although there is a Season 12 floating around somewhere but we haven't found it yet.

Miss Fisher's Mysteries was good (I hear they are making a movie now).

Dr. Blake's Mysteries was good too (it and Miss Fisher's Mysteries set in Australia; his in the 50's and hers in the 20's).

Dh will drop me off today and take the car, he has a few errands to run.

We have a vespers to do tomorrow night.

I hope to get off early tomorrow and we and fiddler will drive to Desert Hot Springs church.

Then Sunday we three will play at Oak Glen.

I have a 3-day weekend, was hoping to go to Disneyland on Sunday but guess not.

Gosh, new furniture??!!! How fun!

Lil Nel, seems animals just get cuts and scratches here and there. Can't live their lives in bubble wrap...

Hope RBG heals well, kinda glad she is in the hospital rather than home, given her age (speaking as a nurse!).

BC, yuk about going in for a basically unimportant meeting. :(

Sounds like you have a long day ahead too.

This too shall pass.

Joe, at least you had a nice quiet evening, and slept well.

Sorry for y'all who woke early, that's too bad!!

Hope your day goes well!
