You are reading page 2 of Thursday - March 14th, 2019 - Good Morning!. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

We attended a Cubs game at Wrigley Field a couple of years ago and they play and the crowd sings "Go Cubs, Go." During our recent trip to Arizona and baseball spring training, the teams play their songs, too. I felt right at home when during a Mariners game they played "Louie, Louie." That got started in Seattle when Lou Pinella was the manager. At one time, "Louie, Louie" was proposed to be the official state song of Washington.

Wonder if anyone in Washington actually figured out the words to "Louie, Louie". Might be why it was nixed as the official state song. Somewhere, I read that even the singer and/or group members didn't really remember all the words. Have heard many variations...WHEW!
