Good Morning!

It's early morning here: 4:55 AM (EST). Just woke up. Just put the coffee on. The two canine family members are still slumbering away. The loving wife? Well, she's slumbering too. It's nice being up at night and having the house quiet.

Yesterday was a nice day. Amy and I went out and had a dinner and a movie together. Went to Pizzeria Uno. Hadn't been there in over a year. Love their deep-pan pizza. As for the movie, we saw the 3-D animation, "Mr. Peabody and Sherman". It was a good movie. Funny. Lots of puns! The 3-D animation was spectacular! It's amazing what can be done with computer-generated graphics now-a-days. But I must say that I like the 1960s original version of the cartoon, though. Used to watch that cartoon all of the time as a kid, along with the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. But yes, I would recommend seeing "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" if you haven't already seen it.

Wrote a bunch more music. As I mentioned a number of days ago, I'm kind of on the home-stretch of finishing this one orchestral composition. It is a slow process (for me, anyway). But it's getting done.

Tonight we're going to see Pat Metheny! It's a Christmas and Birthday present from Amy. Been a Pat Metheny fan for a LONG time. This will be about the third or forth time I've heard him play. Amy said we got good seats, that the seats are real up close in the orchestral section. I've been even closer before when I heard him at a relatively small jazz club. Should be a good night of great light-jazz music!

Hope all have a pleasant day today.

Ted

Good Morning Ted and all who pop in,

Ted that sounds awesome would love to sit and listen to some jazz, hope you both have a great time out. Good for you getting that musical composition close to being finished, sure is a nice feeling when you accomplish something you set out to do. I will have to check out that movie and for some reason I love 3D movies. My favorite one was Avatar just loved the movie and the moral behind it.

I am on my l'il 4 day break which has started off with a nice cuppa tea then once I have made our juice for breakfast and hubby has headed off to work I am hitting the kitchen cupboards, pulling everything out, getting rid of food stuffs we will not eat and donate that. THEN..... hitting the closets to declutter clothes that we do not wear and will donate those to the Salvation Army.

In between times I shall play with the dogs so they can run around and burn off some energy, the phone can ring but I am not picking it up just want to have a me day of cleaning and fun. Well cleaning is fun to me so no problems there. I may even get the washing taken care of today as well because I can! LOL

Yesterday was a busy day with 7 visits taken care of, one couple had lost their power but after standing outside for 10 minutes, knocking on doors and windows, yelling out I could not get them to let me in. Not sure what is going on there but I am sure the neighbors think I am crazy. LOL

Hopefully my brood will be fine until I get back on Monday and not cause any issues while I am away.

My wish for you all today is to have a most excellent day no matter what you get up to. May your faces smile until they hurt.

Much love to you all.

Morning Ted Sabby Davey

Yesterday was tiring. Got rid of the migraine quickly, but had to rush through yesterday, given that I have 2 meetings today so I tried to get as much done as possible yesterday. Was quite productive after work, getting both the laundry and the grocery shopping done. Probably that burst of energy that accompanies migraines.

Or all the caffeine, which may be why I've been having stomach troubles since last night. Hoping things settle down today. Still tired this morning.

Having a goodbye party for a coworker at a bar after work. I had planned to drive in, since if the party runs late trains get harder to find. But now that I think about it I'll probably just take the train. I'm too tired to do all that driving, and I won't stay long at the party, I don't like bars with their noise and their crowds. And I really don't drink anything except wine.

Nothing else really going on today, might work with the tech support people when I get home and see if we can get the last of the work-from-home technical issues resolved.

Happy First Day of Spring! :)

Almost 31 years ago (tomorrow) it was the 1st Day of Spring and my first child was born on that day. I will be heading up to spend the weekend with him, his wife, and daughter. I am babysitting on Saturday night so they can go out with friends and celebrate. So you know I'll be a very happy grandma.

Thanks for the review of that movie Ted - Spidey wants to see it and it is playing here locally.

Speaking of Spidey, better wake him up. He has band today which means dad has to drive him to the high school on the way to work.

I let him stay up and watch Bill Cosby's comedy act from the 80's called Himself. All the old jokes about childbirth and brain-damaged kids. My older kids grew up listening to Cosby's comedy acts and watching The Cosby Show. Fortunately, there are reruns of that show on just about every night.

Grateful that Spring is here! Have a lovely day and Sabby - have fun!

Good day all. I have closets for Sabby to clean when she is done. I suspect she will have little to do in her place and a great deal to do in mine. Ted, enjoy the show. I am sure it will be great. Joe, sorry about the stomach. I am getting quite senstive to cafffeine, and I hate that. I used to love my coffee, dark choc. and strong tea. Now I have to be careful, even with my Protonix.

Work continues on a learning curve. Very disorganized and haphazard. As long as I can deal with it I will.

Welcoming spring today. It is warm and sunny. I think all of us appreciate it more this year than many in the past. So many storms, so many snow days for the schools, so many MVAs.

I am looking forward to chatting with DS about some tough issues soon. If not this weekend then next.

Got to get going. Getting beautious for work takes longer each year.

Have a wonderful day.

I used to have the original Bill Cosby comedy records when I was a kid (back in the mid to late 1960s). He's a very funny fellow! RIIIIGHT! LOL! :D

I've seen him twice in person. He's a little slower but still funny.

Good morning! I slept in a bit today, as I didn't have any early patients. What a luxury! DS dropped me off and is (hopefully) home washing my dining room and bedroom walls and ceilings in preparation for painting. Then Sabby can come over and clean out my closets!

Ted-I used to watch Sherman and Mr. Peabody as a kid. I always cringed at the way they pronounced "Peabody". That's the name of the town I grew up in and we pronounced it "Pea-biddy"...kind of like "P Diddy". Have fun at the Pat Metheny show! Sabby-I can't watch 3-D movies. Between my vertigo and propensity for motion sickness I just get nauseous. I'll stick with the the 2-D versions. Enjoy your days off! Joe-glad the migraine is better. Hi Davey! Happy Birthday to your DS, Steph. I'm glad you'll get some time with the baby. Hi AKY-I wish things were smoother at work for you. It's hard to manage in disorganized conditions.

I'm looking forward to walking today at lunch in honor of the first day of Spring! It's in the low 50s and is a very welcome change.

Good morning Ted, Davey, Sabby, AKY, Steph, Joe, BCgradnurse, and those who will follow.

I'm just eating my cereal and wondering if nurse frances will change her name. Will we recognize her?

Nice lazy start to the day. DH is at his lodge with the morning coffee crowd. he used to go before work and leave the retired folk there.

Now the retired dentist and flower shop owner have died and he stays with the old people after the younger ones go to work.

When he is here Dukie Dog gets his attention while Pearl cuddles with me. When he is gone they both compete for my petting. I don't know how to teach them that they can both be with me.

Duke likes to lie down and have his belly rubbes. Pearl needs 1:1 or she will run around, return, and jump. She jumps high and is so graceful.
