Good Morning!

Happy Birthday Ted!!!

It's my "dreaded Thursday".  I never know what awaits me on Thursday...10 admissions?  Understaffed?  Who knows.

SlowBro seems to be adjusting well as a solo dog.  I have him a nice petting and said "this one is from Dianah who asked about you".  He's eating well and that's a good sign.  I hate to leave him alone today.  But he's going to have to get used to it.  Was good to be home with him the last four days.

Had a nice day alone yesterday and got three meals cooked, went to the gym, walked SlowBro and relaxed some.  Doing my old getting up too early thing.  Couldn't sleep much past 3AMish and finally got up at 0430.  Makes for a long tiring day.

Tweety hope your Thursday isn't too crazy

Happy birthday Ted

Yesterday was fine, though a bit busy with dinner with J and a choir rehersal that ran long

Woke up last night with a sore throat and had problems falling back to sleep.  Better now but kinda tired

Have my early morning meeting and my evening interview today.  Going to be very tired when it is all done

Good Morning!

Tweety - Hope that "Dreaded Thursday" ends up NOT being dreadful! It's nice to read that SloBro is adjusting well to being a solo dog. When our Chelsea passed away, 1+ years ago, Mayson seemed a bit down for a while. They were best friends, for sure. Now?!? He's a happy and spoiled canine-family-member! It's as if he knows that he's king of the home! L O L!

Joe - No fun not sleeping well. Hope that sore throat doesn't get worse. Hope work is kind to you!

Well. . . I did NOT get Called-In! Yea!!! Got some good sleep. This all means that Amy and I can leave earlier to go to NYC and enjoy the next couple of days there! (YEA!!!) Happy Birthday to me! L O L!

Nothing much else to say. I plan on sharing some photos when we return.

Oh yes. . . Saturday! Amy got us tickets to see Pat Metheny for that evening!! (Yea again!!!)

I return to work Tuesday, next week.

Gotta feed the dog and begin the day. Hope all have a pleasant day today! 🙂

Ted

Good morning.

Sorry, but I can't "like" anybody's posts because I have used my reactions for the day.

Hope work is kind to you, Tweety.

Maybe dogs are different from cats, but my feline children never seem fazed by the disappearance of their brethren.

I am in Chicago. Awaiting the next leg of my long journey.

I can't sleep on a plane. The engines are too loud, and I don't have earplugs.

Again, have a great time in NYC, Ted.

I hated leaving Wally, so early this morning.

And I miss Biggie. I sent up all his meals, and chopped hay, except for one day, before I left the barn yesterday.

He will be in good hands, but still, he is my number one son.

Drove by Talli's barn at 0330, and the morning guy was already there.

Safe travels to all!

Lil Nel - Hope the layover in Chicago isn't a long one and that the travels remain uneventful. It seems that you have separation anxiety from your precious Wally and Biggie! (((Hugs)))

We'll be leaving soon for NYC. Not looking forward to the drive down, but the destination is well worth the trip! To be honest, given these past couple of weeks, the whole NYC trip will seem kind of surreal. Still, it's a welcomed one.

Good morning!

Had an interesting day at work.  We had an all staff meeting (done by Zoom-an online meeting app) to unveil our new logo and website.  The website looks good, but the new logo very strongly resembles that of another allergy practice in town.  That makes no sense to me, but what do I know about marketing?  We were also told that we need to make the practice a friendly warm place for our patients.  Ok-I'm good with that.  However, staff is up in arms because the boss is frequently rude and unprofessional (reprimands staff in front of patients and blames staff when he is running late) and doesn't model the kind of behavior we are supposed to exhibit.  I don't see this, as I rarely work directly with him, but I believe it.  He is quirky and definitely speaks before he thinks.  They are coming up with some kind of list of things they want to see change, because they feel they cannot be successful in the current environment and that the practice cannot meet it's so-called mission.  They want me to review it.  We'll see how this all goes.

Ted-Happy Birthday!  I know this has not been the happiest of times for you, but I hope you and Amy do enjoy yourself in NYC.

Tweety-I hope today is kind to you.  I'm glad Slo Bro is doing ok.  I'm sure he'll be happy to see you when you get home.

Joe-Good luck on your interview tonight.  You'll do fine.

Nel-I can't sleep on planes either.  I miss my pets, too when I'm away.  Have a wonderful time at the play!

Time for breakfast.

Ah, BC, you are the voice of reason at work. I am not surprised.

Spring breakers everywhere at Midway Airport.

My seatmate from Louisville to Chicago was so sweet. She thanked the crew for delivering us safely.

Sweet!!!!!

Good morning,

I got to leave work at 1 pm yesterday as part of my new schedule, w00t! We had a meeting with the supervisor who trying to lay out some new procedures and it was almost comical how she got push back about things that happened in the past, and she kept saying let the past go. I agree. What was supposed to be a 1 hour meeting turned into 2 hours. At the end, my coworker/office mate asked when I was leaving. "Uh, now." She was dismayed that I didn't want to stick around and decorate our office. Nope, I was outta there.

I spent the afternoon doing some mending for eldest ds. His pup had torn up 2 bed covers and a blanket so I replaced to zippers and did some patching. She gets upset when crated and chews her bed. And I bought some plants on the way home. Today, Angus has a vet visit for immunizations and then I plan to come home (yes!) to finish mending and prune the rest of the roses.

I hope everyone's day is fantastic.

NSIME, I sometimes want to go back a read a previous page. I open a new window on my computer and open the page there. I do that over on the politics section, especially when I want to look something up. That is funny that Nannie is inserting herself into your plans to get out.

Ted, do have fun in NYC. I've never been; I think I might find it overwhelming. But I thought that about Chicago, but I really liked it after I visited.

Gosh, BC, your boss has some challenges. He may have been better off spending his $$ on counseling instead of branding and marketing, 😂.

Herring, I am glad you enjoyed your beach time. Your step-mom sounds like she has has the dwindles, as we used to say at my first nursing home job. But it sounds like she is getting all possible help.

I know what you mean Tweety, about your doggo seeming lonely. I got Millie and Angus together, and they always slept snuggled together. After she passed, he seemed so sad for a little while. Now that he is older, he sleeps most of the time.

Oops, almost time to go.

see ya

TED!  birthday_zpsqzb6gzjh.jpg

I think you and Amy will enjoy Pat Methany!

Joe: I think you will get through the day and then relax.

Hi Dianah!

Nel: I remember Midway being crowded unless you go away from the Southwest gates. But then may miss the next plane.

Tweety: Slo Bro will be SO HAPPY when you get home!

nursej22: Hope YOUR day is fantastic!

BCgradnurse: i'm glad you don't have to hear the rudeness. He's not setting a good example.

There are THREE wind turbines in downtown Providence, BC, near the seedy part of the waterfront, where Desire, the gentlemen's club is located.

Hotel is great. Right beside India Point Park.

Also, right beside I-195, but that is okay! I live near railroad tracks. Thus is nothing compared to freight trains.

This is lovely. It is also near Al Forno restaurant. Kind of wish we were going there tonight.

Oh, well.
