Morning

Fairly quiet day at work, nothing unusual came up, except a brief meeting

Did the grocery shopping, including some for the church.  Also did some work on embroidery

Another brief meeting at work.  Exercise and an online meeting of the environmental group after work

Was nice yesterday, will be nice today as well, little chance of rain.  After today the chance of rain goes up and it gets warmer

Hey, Joe! Looks like everyone else is 'at a meeting' except us!  I can't believe I am only the second one to post today! I mean, it is 1:30 PM here, so even on the left coast it's not TOO early for them to post! Oh well, I suppose others will be straggling in after a while!

Last night I could actually sit at the kitchen table to eat, rather than having to lay on my left side while on the bed.

Oddly, after I talked w/ the PA about where my hip/back pain is, the shooting, hot, and painful pain has let up considerably, like, I mean, a LOT! I wonder why? Anyway, I am still going to go see her next Thursday to have a look at the MRI scan myself, and discuss options. I have an ablation scheduled for the following week, on a just-in-case basis. The doc's calendar fills up w/ appts soooo quickly, they recommended I make that appt, and if I don't need it after I talk with the PA next week, I can cancel it. But if I wait until after I see the PA to make an appt for ablation, it may be 4-6 weeks before they could work me in. Apparently the doc who does them is 'the only one' in this area, and he is quite popular with the back and spine-pain patients. Well, anyway, we'll see what we see and go from there. At least, so far today, I haven't needed the hydrocodone, and only took a 500 mg Tylenol, so I'm hoping this continues to be the case.

So, I'm turning this site over to the rest of the bunch now, so GET POSTING folks!

So Glad No Stars is less uncomfortable.

I plan to call several family members today just to talk. Yesterday along with bananas, sweet potatoes, onions, mustard greens, beans, and such I got my husband a 1/2 gallon of his favoriteDulce De Leche ice cream. He only eats one scoop. I ate two delicious scoops. Gotta make sure NOT to have more.

Work is semi-quiet, although I am getting unusual phone calls, which actually adds a little interest to my day. One was from an insurance company with a pre-authorization notice, but unfortunately we are not the office of Dr. So and So. Another was from a pediatrician tattling on a family group with 3 children positive for COVID. Of course, we already have the test results, but I thanked her for her concern.  Good news on that subject though, SIL tested negative after a work exposure. Positive cases are starting to grow exponentially, but so far only 2 hospitalized cases that are not in ICU.

NSIME, I am glad you are feeling better. Yes, indeed keep your appointments. Those are like gold!

Weather is nice, about 70 degrees with a light breeze. I walked to a nearby sandwich shop for lunch. I usually bring left-overs but I left the house late. And the sandwich was a little disappointing.

Carry on

Was at lunch earlier and didn't want to be a downer.  Work was a poop show today.  Just weird stuff...patient complaining of seeing spots in front of her, another had weird symptoms post op where she was losing feeling in her hands and arms, another's BP tanked.  On the other side a patient we had since Monday compalined of shortness of breath, and sure enough tested covid positive after testing negative on Monday and negative in her nursing home.  Exposed dozens of people that were at least mask wearing but not N95.

Got the news that my facility is being sold.  Most of us are happy about this because the new owner would be a not-for-profit that is quite successful in Central Florida.  The City which leases the land needs to approve the sale so it's not a done deal.  I'm surprised in the middle of our Covid outbreak they would move forward, but am happy.

5,000 more Covid cases here in Florida today.  Bed capacity remains good.

Evening all - I can't 'ERASE' the quote-y  thing  above. So just ignore.

I'm sooooo thrilled that I found a podiatrist that makes housecalls!!!  Yippee!!!  Except I have to juggle appts from 2 other providers for the same date. Need to make sure that insurance will get paid so providers can't  be sched for the same date, else no payment. And providers' backlogs are ridiculously long!!! It's almost like having to squirrel away appts for fear that you can't get one in a timely fashion when needed. (Sound like toilet paper unavailability?)

NoStars - So truly do I understand your scheduling dilemma. Am sooo glad you've had some pain relief. Hopefully, it'll continue esp with any interventions with your providers. How's Hubs holding up? Am kind of fearful to ask about Nan at this time for you.

Tweety - holding good thoughts for you in you area.

Am also thrilled to 'BRAG' that I'm managing better to get into bed on my own power. Still an effort that has me struggling & huffy puffy, but I'm doing it!!!!!!! Haven't yet slept in bed, but that's next. used to when I had some personal assist with P

Also went walking on the grass to avoid the sidewalk with steps!!!!! Huh??? Sounds weird, I know. I need my walker extensively and I'm managing. But steps are the bane of my existence!!! I used to be able to do them DOWN but had bilateral arm strength for weight bearing on the walker. But since the partial torn rotator cuff tear (compliments of NH from Hell) it is extremely diff to use equal arm strength for balance, wt bearing and walker maneuvering

Those accomplishments sound sooo trivial, yet they are of monumental impact on quality activities.

amoLu, It doesn't sound like any of those accomplishments are trivial. Sounds like you are persistent and determined. Wish I could give you a big shot of "100% Strength, Long-Lasting OOOMPH", somehow. (((amoLu)))
