Good Morning!

Ted, I hope you can let Nel to at least come to the Daily Thread and ignore politics.  As you know I can't resist putting in my two cents.

Steph, hope you got some sleep.

Word was busy.  I started in charge with two patients and took in three post op admissions and between all those duties left after 9pm.  One of my patients bought us pizza and chicken poppers and that was my dinner.  I was in bed within 20 minutes of going home and slept all night.   We were short two nurses but got one from the float team and I took up the slack.

Today is another busy day.  Some of the docs that were on vacation are back.  It's the "dreaded Thursday".

I was pretty disgusted with myself for having pizza for dinner because I promised myself to eat clean this week, but that goes out the winder with stress eating and genuine hunger.  😂

Good Morning -

Hi Tweety! I emailed Lil Nel yesterday, and let her know that she was missed on the Daily Diary threads. I was happy to receive an email in response by her. Without going into details, it seems that there is a long delay before her posts show up on forums, including the Daily Diary forum. Understandably, she's discouraged by this. She wanted me to say "Hi" to everyone from her! Otherwise, it seems that her job situation hasn't changed much. She's still working at the same place, and she's applying to different places for a job change.  Also, she made mention of some "barn drama" that's been taking place where her "Biggie" stays. Overall, Lil Nel seems OK, though. Hope work is kind to you today, Tweety. As for eating Pizza, sounds like good eating to me! 😜

Joe - Nice to read that work isn't too busy. Seems like you had a nice evening with the church group. Hope J is well with  his trip.

Recently woke up. Again. Was up around 2:00 AM and did some video editing. The dog woke me up, though. We put a barrier down at the foot of our steps to prevent him from coming upstairs on his own. He was vigorously scratching the barrier, which woke me up. I stayed behind him as he slowly climbed up the stairs and into my studio. He needed a little support with his hind legs. From there, he quietly laid beside me and fell asleep while I sat in front of the computer and worked on the dance video project. It was a nice and quiet early morning for me. Went back to bed around 4:00 AM. Mayson was asleep when I tip-toed out of the studio room into my bedroom.

Yesterday. . . I mowed. The grass was still wet from the morning dew, which made mowing more of a challenge. I only mowed the "lawn" on the bottom part of our property. I still have the freakin' lawn on the top part of our property to mow, though! (Ugh!) I tell you! My arm, leg and stomach muscles are getting a really good workout! L O L! 😄 I'm not sure if I'll mow today. I might hold off until tomorrow just to give my muscles a rest.

Not sure what I'm going to do today. . . .

I am sure that I'm going downstairs and pour me First Coffee. I went to take of sip of coffee just now and realized that there's no cup there! L O L!

Hope all have a nice day today! 🙂

Ted

Morning Tweety, Joe, and Ted!

Last week we removed a dead bush in the front yard. I got two boxwood shrubs and plan to plant them today. One hole where the bush was removed is already dug. The other will be work.

I haven't planned much else for today other than grocery shopping and a shower. I do my shopping pn foot so shop more often and buy less.

It actually rained! I could almost here the plants sucking it up. I hope it stops for Music in the Park tonight. Temp is around 65. I cut lots of roses last night before the rain started, because they would be wrecked, and brought them to work. Everyone seems to enjoy them.

I did an ICS (Incident Command System) training this am. We do those periodically to stay current, plus we use them to plan for big projects like moving offices of several people. And then watched a webinar about a TB case in Alaska and how they overcame various challenges.

Ted, now that the lawn has gotten some moisture, I'm going to need you to stop by, okay? 🤣

Hang in there, Tweety. That was a pretty nice treat to have provided, and a body needs to refuel.

Hullo to everyone else, and happy Thursday.

(H'lo!)...Nannie Tales / Chapter #67,998,754

Hubby and I got an early start on the errands--pharmacy, just a few odds and ends of groceries, And most importantly, Nannie needed pj's.,cotton underpants, and socks.

I told hubby I was tired of trying to find out if any of those items were in the wash, or needed to go in the wash; plus she is always saying she can't find her socks, or doesn't have enough pj bottoms or cotton undies...she has to change everything either at night or in the morning, in spite of the multiple disposable products she uses.

Her socks are so full of holes because of her toenails, but if she wants her toenails trimmed well, she will have to bite the bullet and go to pay a foot-doctor. I mean, *I* worked with a podiatrist and know how to deal with fungal toenails, but both hubby and I have tried and given up because she is a jerker and a shreiker ...and THAT'S just from anticipation!  ie, no accidental clips or stabs or anything that would cause pain or bleeding.

We brought home a GIANT box of pull-ups and a GIANT box of extra-long, number 6 pads. She calls them sanitary napkins. She said she had to put 2 pads on the crotch of her cotton panties, and then she puts pull-ups over that.

Hubby said "Why are you wearing two pads?" -----"Because my FLOW is so HEAVY."   He told her she hasn't had a period for the last 30 years, and she said she certainly did so....EVERY MONTH! He said, "well, we bring in pads and absorbent panties every week, not every month."   She started to get mad, when she said, "All I know is, my flow is heavy!"

I kept my mouth firmly closed. I WANTED to ask why her 'flow' wasn't red!?! I wanted to ask, "if you have such a large amount of flow, WHERE IS IT COMING OUT FROM?" ..... Some of you may remember her telling anyone who would listen ( like in mixed company of church members at a Hardee's, after a church service), that her doctor said she couldn't even get her little finger in her (Nannie's) vagina ...because "It's all completely grown together and closed up!" And that's why (she continued) she "could not have her bladder catheterized" and "they had to go in the other way."  ! ! !

😮  WHAT other way? I was afraid to ask! The very first time I heard her tell that tale, I said, "But you don't get to the bladder through the vagina!"  She said her "cooter"  being all stuck/grown together, they had to find another way to go in to the bladder. She was adamant about it, so I let the subject drop. Next time she was starting to tell that version of her "down-there" anecdote, I put my hands to my head, scrinched up my face, and said, "OOOhhhh, I don't want to hear about your closed up cooter!!!!"  She laughed. I wasn't being funny!!!

Ball game is on early today...

Tawk whichoo's'all laydah!

Good Morning!

Steph, hope you got some sleep.

I did!  👍

Good evening.  Busy day seeing patients and had our IDT meeting. Then another late meeting with a nurse and doctor and me about how to find another nurse to help us out in hospice.  Did some brainstorming.  Just got home.

It's been nice this week with cooler temps.  It's in the 60's right now.  I know it will heat up later and I prefer warm to freezing cold.  So, I'm fine.

Music in the park . . . that sounds good.

Spidey took a trailer back down to his brother (#2 son) and should be home soon.  His baseball team goes to Arcata this tomorrow for a tournament and I can't go.  😥

That's about it.  Time for bed but first, shower and brush my teeth.  Oh wait, I brought up a load of clothes from the dryer in the basement and they are on my bed waiting to be folded.  Argh.  🙄

Have a good night's sleep everyone.
