Good morning!

Joe, glad you're feeling calmer staying away from certain triggers.  The political climate is depressing to me.

Amo, I like trying new things and have too noticed shortages of sporadic things.

BC, I only heard of that show because of the Emmy nominations it got.  I'll have to check it out.  I'm still on an Indie movie binge having watched "Supernova" which is a slow moving movie about an elderly gay couple in England staring Colin Firth.  Kind of boring but good underlying things to think about.

I drink green tea, but like a matcha brand I get on Amazon that's from Japan.  I splurge like that but otherwise drink a couple of cups of coffee a day.

Had a nice solo day off but busy catching up on chores and cooking.

Working today and tomorrow.

Have a great day.

Morning Tweety

BC I think I've heard of that show

Stars glad Nannie is getting a new recliner

NJ22 that was good that the GI doc responded to your concerns

A fairly quiet day as work, which was nice.  Hopefully things stay that way

After work was a bit of a rush to get things done.  Did the grocery shopping and the laundry in time to get to online Bible study.  Rained a little but thankfully not enough to stop me from getting everything done

Have a vestry meeting tonight.  So that I could get my usual amount of exercise in, instead of spending the morning meditating and the evening exercising, I decided to do the opposite, and exercised this morning.  My body seemed rather reluctant, and it was a bit of a struggle, but I did get it done.  Wonder how meditating this evening will go

Quite warm and very humid yesterday, considerably cooler the new few days, in the 70s.  Will have rain for at least the next 2 days

It's still cool here, it may get up to 70. I actually am wearing a fleece. I ran 3 miles this morning and improved on my best 5K time (3.1 miles). I am training to do another 10 K at the end of this month. Then I went to get an echocardiogram. The tech asked me how I felt, and I said, "honestly, I feel great, I don't even know why I am getting this test." His paper work said shortness of breath, and I pointed out that is inaccurate and reported about my great run. I will get the echo results in a few days, and then see doc in a couple of weeks. Okay, enough grumbling.

Oh, Tweety, that sounds like a good movie. What platform are you seeing that on? I have been watching The Handmaid's Tale, off and on, but I need to takes breaks because it's pretty dark.

Gosh, Joe, you was just zooming around. I hate getting up early, but I find exercise in the morning energizing. But then I usually want a nap mid afternoon.

Yes, Stars, make sure you have adequate help to bring in that chair.

Hi Ted, Amo, BC, and Dianah!

Good Afternoon y'all~

Cut my bangs this morning before I took my shower; I think they are a little too short, but thankfully, hair grows. By next week I will find them tolerable. If they were cut by a professional, I'd feel a bit p.o.'d, which is why I generally do it myself. I can be upset and with-hold a tip from myself, and nobody's feelings are hurt!

It continues to be very hot (90's) and humid; the air is just as still as can be.

I can't believe hubby's on the phone with the Dr's office ... but to make an appt for Nannie, not for himself! EGADS!

Nannie keeps saying that since she has had her COVID shot, "I feel better than I ever have!" And I tell her each time that the shot she got doesn't have anything to do with how she feels or making her feel better, it is just to keep her from contracting the virus. Maybe I should just hush and say, "Well, GOOD!" She's already asking if we need a second shot (we had J&J) but Dr. Fauci hasn't made any proclamations, so we will just wait and see. Meanwhile we still wear our masks when going to the store(s). Hubby said only one person has mildly harassed him, "Why're you still wearin' a mask? Don't you know we don't hafta wear 'em any more?!" He just told the guy he has a 91 year old mom to protect and he's not taking any chances.

I am doing 3 loads of laundry. Gathering up the trash and recycling so we can put the trash bins out tonight. That's about it for my domesticity today.

Hope y'all are having a good day! I'll stop by again later~

Yeah, I would just agree with Nannie, that shot has made all the difference. What difference does it make if she's right or wrong? I know mine gave me a huge sense of relief.

Our county is up to 70% of at least getting one shot, so I don't mask any more, except to see patients at work, or when required by a medical office or business. But I do limit the places I go and avoid crowded places.

I would never question why someone is wearing a mask. If they are more comfortable, it's none of my business. And you never know if someone has cancer, or a transplant, or any of the other reasons.

Yep, agree with Nannie and say "great!".

It's not that you don't have to wear a mask anymore, it's that you don't have to if you're vaccinated and I don't.  I presume the people I see with masks are unvaccinated and don't want to tell them.

I'm reading LA is having a mask mandate again vaccinated or unvaccinated.  I think we're heading for trouble here in Florida but since we don't report but weekly, no one is paying attention.  Less than 50% of Floridians are vaccinated, mercifully most of them are older.

Seven coworkers are out with covid.

And so it goes

Found a 1 & 1/2 star-rated movie..."Strange Fascination" 1950, with actors nobody knows and a tired plot. The strange fascination I have with this movie is wondering ... how did it ever get that 1/2 star?

Review of "Strange Fascination" from TV Guide (note the last sentence!!! lol!):

Hugo Haas, Hollywood's oddest auteur, does it again with this strangely unfascinating drama about a concert pianist (Haas, not surprisingly), who hits a streak of bad luck. He can tolerate his financial misfortune, but when his vivacious blonde wife, Moore, walks out on him, he resorts to drastic measures. He mangles his hand in the hopes of collecting insurance money, but even that fails. The finale has him playing a one-handed piano piece. As with Haas's other films, this is interesting to watch because it is so melodramatic, not because it is a good film.

Thanks for that review, dianah! It really was a bizarre little movie with almost no point to it!
