Good morning!

I actually had a decent day yesterday.  Wasn't in charge and didn't float.  Will take today as it comes but we're not well staffed.

Have a great day

Glad yesterday went well Tweety.  Hope today is OK as well

Hi NJ22

Ted glad you can go to in person church now

Stars sorry to hear he fell off the wagon.  It must be frustrating but it is common to have relapses.  Hopefully he'll realize the error and it will motivate him to do better

Work was pretty good yesterday.  Got out for a walk, did cross stitch, and then had our online Lenten series.  Were supposed to see a short video but technical problems prevented it.  Still managed to do the discussion

Got my new, woven weighted blanket.  Is fairly comfortable and cooler than the other one I have, which is quilted.  Perhaps too much so for the winter, was a bit restless and a bit cold last night.  Felt better after adding a blanket.  Will be useful during the summer

Today have the usual after work..errands,  groceries, and bell choir practice

Weather continues to be fairly good, in the 40s

Supposed to be sunny and in the 60's for the next 3 days.

I woke up early and gave Nannie her breakfast and AM meds; I took mine and was going to go back to sleep, but I kept thinking of all the stuff I have to do today:

Write checks to pay bills, go to the bank, post office, get groceries, do the laundry, take a shower/shampoo, and then, hopefully read and rest.

Maybe it'll be a nice day in spite of everything.

Ciao!

Tweety, good to hear you had a good work day yesterday.  Fingers crossed today will be tolerable!

No Stars, hope today is much better than yesterday.  Sorry to hear about your dh's poor choices.  SO glad there were no accidents while he was impaired!  Hope you can get done all you want to today (that's quite a list)!

Steady at work for me.  Made appt to get taxes done.  Temps in the high 70's here, feels like spring but I'm sure (I hope I hope I hope I hope) we will get a couple more storms before summer kicks in for real.

Have a good day!

Good Afternoon -

NSIME - Hope today is better for your husband and you. If needed, I hope you consider finding support for yourself for your own Peace of Mind. (Admittedly, I have little tolerance and patience for alcohol abuse. Living with it is so not fun.)

Work, last night, was a steady busy. We actually ended up with TWO Whole patients in our teeny-tiny ICU. We actually had more patients in our ICU than there were patients on our Med/Surg floor, which had only ONE patient. Not counting Maternity, there were THREE Whole patients in our teeny-tiny hospital! LOL! As predicted, the post-op ortho patient was D/C'd home yesterday afternoon. (The advances in orthopedic surgery, and associated pain management, is simply unbelievable!)

Today, I predict that we'll still have the same two patients in the ICU. We'll see!

It's sunny outside, and the temperature is warmer (in the 40s). It seems that Spring is just around the corner! Yes!!

Just had lunch. Gonna go back to bed for Second Sleep. Hope to catch a couple more hours of ZZZZZZZs.

Peace, folks! 🙂

Ted

My day off is half over--where did it go? Oh, I guess I slept in, after a restless night, bah. Took a long walk with the dog walking through a new housing development of big houses. I wonder where people work that they can afford so much house? Most are 4 bedroom, 3 bath. I dream of the day we can downsize, and to that end, I got rid of stuff today! Papers, empty boxes, clothes that fit no one. Our new fireplace insert was to have been installed today, but apparently the weather delayed the shipment. Dh was supposed to get his new tooth implant tomorrow, but that has been delayed too. Bah.

Stars, I have no words of wisdom other than to take care of yourself.

Yes, today was a little bit better, as of this moment hubby is sober. I don't think he will drink today, but it's not my day to watch him. I had to change the bandages on the skin tears on his left fore-arm, and found another skin tear on his right elbow. Fun.

Had to change my passwords for my two on-line accts (Google and Yahoo) and my bank acct, B-cuz.... I got a call while I was at the grocery store, supposedly from Amazon, saying there was going to be a package for me that would be charged to my Master card acct.....for $300--!!!!! Well, I hadn't ordered anything, and I told him so, and I also said I didn't have even $30 never mind $300. I didn't give the guy any info except to confirm my name and google URL. I came home and immediately changed my passwords on-line. Then I called my banker and told her I was shredding my Mastercard debit card, and had her confirm the last purchases I'd made w/it, and they'll put a stop on anything else that someone might try to charge or withdraw. Called the 'real' Amazon customer service and the guy there said there were no orders to my acct since last September! Soooo, the earlier call must've been a scam. Should have known by the thick middle-eastern accent and the noise of multiple people making calls in the background, but the odd thing was, before I hung up he said maybe I should check my accts to make sure no one had been hacking me!!!  I think I got the changes made in time to avoid any phishing danger. (I hope).

Had an early supper. Got everything on my list done today except I didn't do the laundry and I didn't take a shower (tsk-tsk-tsk).
