Good Morning!

BC, congrats on the finance getting the job!  I know that's a relief.  I liked Fort Lauderdale, but didn't like the traffic nor the cost of parking.  Might be better in the summer, but that heat and humidity......Hope you enjoyed meeting the kitty.

Ted, sounds like a love-hate relationship with Firestick.

Joe, hope you had another quiet day.

Fran, nice to see you.

J22, that's a bummer about the filling.

My insomnia lately is that I get up way too early.  Today it was 4AM and I couldn't go back to sleep. Hate that.

I was indeed productive once I got started.  Binged watched some shows added to the Netflix show "The Chef Show" which is a cooking show you can watch on the side and not pay much attention to.

Does it seem like though there's always something to cook, clean, wipe, put away, straighten up, and cook, clean, wipe, put away and straighten up?  I go to my brother in laws, or best friends, and everything is sparkling and put away and not a speck of dust and my house is always a mess no matter what I do.  Meh.....

Working today and tomorrow.  Hope everyone has a great day.

I was awake at 4 am as well. Sigh.

As far as always needing to pick up and clean, i have the advantage of blaming my housemates. Or the dog. I must say, I am getting a little better, at least for my own stuff, but I do not cleaning!

Morning Tweety and nj22.  Hope sleep is better tonight

Had a lot of dreams last night, which is unusual for me.  Probably slept lightly last night as I'm tired this morning

Work was pretty quiet yesterday, except towards the end of the day when people suddenly started answering my calls

Ash Wednesday service was good, though lightly attended. Choir was OK though several people couldn't make it and we could've used some more practice

Tonight meeting J for dinner.  Since we're meeting Saturday to attend my nephew's play we decided to meet tonight instead of Friday

Few inches of snow and colder here, but warmer during the weekend

Good morning! I'm sad I missed a big day in BC world! So glad that FOBC (Fiance of BC!) has gotten the job, and that you got the kitty!

Yesterday was just crazy here at work. A lot of hype about COVID.

I hope you have a nice date tonight, Joe. Good vibes to you, Tweety for uneventful work days!

*waves to the rest of you all*

Tuesday evening I had about three ounces of Merlot. It was my first alcoholic drink this year. That night I fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes only to wake up at 11:30 pm and was unable to go back to sleep until 5:00 am. I was tired all day yesterday, Slept well last night and feel really good today.

I have a small glass of red wine once or twice a week, and it puts me right to sleep. The problem is I will wake up 2 hours later with an sore shoulder  (from being so relaxed that I smushed the pacer) and a horrible taste in my mouth.

I was able to get 2 more hours of sleep! Out for a run, but I am feeling discouraged because I don't feel I am gaining any endurance. I was hoping to do a 5 K in March, but 2 miles seems to be my limit. I pushed to go a little faster today. Now, I have a load of laundry going, and plan to deep vacuum the carpets, and chase out the dust bunnies under the furniture. I dropped the remote last night and while retrieving the batteries I saw a whole herd of fluffies under the couch, and maybe a dead spider!

Far, thank you for the video. I may add that song to my running playlist. I certainly feel breathless at the end!

Where is NSIME? I am just a worrier, but when I don't see her posts I imagine that she has hurt her back trying to assist a certain someone.

Good Afternoon -

Just woke up from Second Sleep. Slept well both times, today. Had a delicious left-over lunch while watching ANOTHER "Drew Carey Show" re-run (thanks for that Firestick).

Work was a steady-busy last night. My one patient had a bowel-prep for Both ENDoscopies. That kept the two of us busy. (Didn't see blood in his stool, thank goodness.)

Working tonight. . . then I'm off the weekend!! YES!

Recently received word that my niece and her fiancé are expecting! The Due Date is September 15th. Although this was unexpected, we're all happy for them! (I get to tease my Grand-Niece now! L O L! 😛 )

Well. . . gotta get ready for work. Those "Three S's" are calling! 😄

Cheers! 🙂

Ted

Good evening! I was enjoying my Friday... until I realized it isn't Friday. Picture Homer and his signature d'oh! here. Thank goodness tomorrow is the real Friday! (Right? Please tell me that's true and I've gotten my days straightened out!)

Anyone else wondering where the heck February disappeared to? It feels like January took forever but blink and February is over.

j22, I'm here. Have not hurt anything lifting you-know-who, because I always tell her, "I can't lift. Doctor's orders." So my back, hips and right shoulder don't suffer like they did when I was still trying to help her. If I make an automatic move toward a start helping haul her up, I stop myself dead-cold and say, "Come on, you're going to have to stand/get up on your own, because I can't do it." (You know that old saying, "Just because you think you can, doesn't mean you should!")

I thought I posted a l-o-n-g post today, but I wonder if it was on yesterday's Diary? I'll have to go back and check when I get through here.

BCg, So relieved to hear your fiance' "got a job; sha-na-na-na-, sha-na-na-na-na, GOT a job! Dip-dip-dip-dip-boom-boom-boom-boom, got a job!" (What group was it that sang that song, like maybe in the late 50's?) And permit me to sing: "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty!" Sophie sounds deeeevinely wonderful! I sure would like a cat; I miss having a purr-buddy; one day I'll get one...but Nannie has to be out of here, and Ozzie, well, Ozzie would HATE having a kitten pestering him. I might look into adopting an older cat when the time comes. Or a couple of cats who lived together and shouldn't be separated.

My gosh, I'm watching a black-and-white 1947 film in which Richard Widmark just shoved an old lady in a wheelchair down some steep steps in an old NY apartment building. So he's the bad guy, and Victor Mature is a sort-of good guy. Quite a shift from their usual roles!

Rose, I keep saying, "Blink, and it's Friday again." True, isn't it? I was driving along today thinking that in six months I'll be 71 years old. Seems so absurd that the older you get, the faster time goes by. When I was little, a week took FOREVER to go past. Not no mo' tho!

Ted, I really think that Rocky and Bullwinkle, Natasha and Boris, etc., were all shown under an 'umbrella'  kind of show, in which there were also cartoons like "Mr. Peabody and The Way-Back Machine", "Dudley Do-Right", "Fractured Fairy Tales", and maybe one or two others...I just can't remember the title of the show under which they were all broadcast. Seems to me we watched them in the early evening on Fridays instead of Saturday mornings. Good luck on finding them! // I always liked the EARLY shows of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" They were so, so silly, I actually was provoked to laugh out loud. Remarkably silly, very entertaining.

Tweety, when might you be getting SloBro's new friend? // When I cook, I make a terrible mess, but Mom always told me a good cook cleans up after herself, so I do, even though it irritates me to do so.  I'm a cluttery person, like PigPen minus the dirt, with lots of magazines, newpapers, books, snippets I cut out to send to my sister, coupons, notes to myself, 2-3 pens, my laptop, sippycup....on and on. I do try to keep things picked up a little at a time so I'm not hauling it all back up to my room when it's time to go upstairs. With my mail, as I go through it, there are bills, ads, magazines, catalogs, etc.; and from those, there are 4 piles, keep, pay, recycle, and shred. Organized confusion.

Far'wyn, I liked the singing and the song, but had to close my eyes and listen because ~to me, being the old fart that I am ~ the video confuses the beejeebers out of me, so I can't look at it. S'hard enough to try to hear clearly even with this (kind of crappy) State- issued hearing aid -- they a only give you just one, not two, and I could really use two -  if I try to separate the words and make sense of them, the visuals don't seem to illustrate much of anything. But oh well who cares so what? I can only do the best I can do, and I am the kind that likes to listen and dance and sing along with the wide variety of genres of music/songs of ...talkin' 'bout my g-g-g-g-generation. ("Hope I die before I get old...")

Blah-dee-blah-blah. It's not that I talk so much, it's just that I can't stop these crazy fingers from clicking out words.
