G'day!

NB, that sounds like a nightmare.  Glad that phase is over and hopefully he moves on and doesn't threaten you like you fear.  All the best.

Ted, what does it mean to "block the musical".  Hope work was kind.

It's the "dreaded Thursday".  A light OR schedule due to vacations of surgeons so it might not be so bad but we're running short staffed as people have quit or gone part time due to summer school.   Yesterday they were able to float us two nurses from he float team, so I was happy about that, as were the staff and patients.  Funny how that works.

Hope you have a nice day.

Morning Tweety hope this Thursday isn't too bad

Work was fine.  Though I spent some time talking to coworkers and things aren't as fine for them.  I think the uncertainty and chaos is taking a toll and some might not be here by the end of the year.  I can tolerate it as this is something I've experienced before and knew to expect it when I started

Fairly quiet night last night, just the usual exercise and meditation.  Talked to J for a bit.  Worked on cross stitch some more

Tonight have the grocery shopping to do

Was quite nice yesterday, in the 70s, will be a bit warmer the next few days

Morning-

Supposed to be a gorgeous day today, not too hot.  Yesterday was brutal.  I met a friend in Boston yesterday for a museum visit and lunch, and was drenched in the less than half mile walk from the subway stop to the museum.  Then we had big thunderstorms in the afternoon that cooled things off a bit.  Last night I met another friend for dinner and then we had Chinese reflexology massages.  They focus mostly on your feet, but also massage your scalp, neck, and arms.  It was pretty nice.  Today may be another beach day.

Nurse Blaq-I'm glad the legal stuff is behind you, and I hope your ex stays away.  Don't hesitate to call the police if he starts to harass you.

Tweety-Maybe today will be a good day at work, maybe it won't.  I hope for the latter.

Hope all have a good day.

Hi everyone, day off today. This has evolved into my "clean the house day", so I have a load of laundry started, and plan to tackle the kitchen and bathrooms after the obligatory dog walk.I could post a photo, but I doubt I view of a dog rear is nearly as nice as Tweety's beach, 😂. Or Steph's sunsets.  I fell asleep during the debate last night, again, but kept waking up hourly during the night. I started thyroid replacement 2 months ago, and I wonder if it's too much. I am due to get a level drawn on the 16th. Tonight is music in the park, with big band music, which I do enjoy. I told dh I would make him egg salad sandwiches to bring along, so I have eggs cooking. Weather may get to 80 today, with rain tomorrow.

Joe, i am sorry about the chaos but good to hear you able to cope. Hopefully, your coworkers can learn from you. Tweety, hoping the dreaded Thursday sails along smoothly and at least one person gives you an attaboy.

Good morning. I  hardly  slept, but feel good now. I'm likely to suddenly feel sleepy.

Son and daughter-in-law are planning to move to Atlanta, GA after the first of the year. Her company will be moving and she really likes her job.

Work wasn't too bad.  We were short a nurse and I had a four-patient assignment.  Found out a general surgeon will be putting his patients on my floor because we have nice private rooms and he was promised these rooms.  Who knew?  Of course he operates on the already dreaded Thursday.  But he also does a lot of same-day surgeries and discharges them after surgery and they don't come to the floor.

Found out the grand daughter of the 96 year old that complimented me, really stabbed us is the back with a litany of bitter complaints.  She's a hospice counselor and bitterly complained about everything, especially our lack of knowledge of taking care of comfort measure patients.  This is true, our patients get well and go home but we took good care of her grandmother.  She is in the "angry" phase of grief and I have to let it go, but it  hurts to bust your ass and be complimented then criticized behind your back.

They need help tomorrow but I kept my mouth shut.  I wish them well, but I'm taking a five-day weekend.
