So ... In what way is Islam being forced down anyone's throat in the US and what does that have to do with Hillary Clinton?
Clinton not calling out terrorists and tolerating a western hating ideology in our culture IS forcing it down our throats.

Personally, I think I'm well informed. I didn't say Facebook was the source of all my information. The sources I follow on social media are reliable and provide good information, as good as any one TV. In my opinion. Even you in you're links above have provided me with information via social media, although I don't follow sites like "Digiday" "Motherboard" or "Gizmodo"...perhaps I should.
just examples, take the information from there - not necessarily originating on those sites.

That's because, unlike Trump, Clinton is not terrified. She has recognized that terrorism is a problem to be dealt with, but is also aware that ISIS is losing on the ground. (Something that Trump and his defense industry buddies would prefer you don't pay attention to.) Because they are losing on the ground, ISIS is now emphasizing the radicalization of individuals in place in order to carry out small scale activity by local citizens. We need to address the reasons our citizens are being radicalized. Going all John Wayne with the nukes isn't going to do that. Nor is it going to make us any friends.

As for the "Western-hating culture" ... once again, you're overgeneralizing from ignorance. Which culture? African Islam? Morocco? Afghanistan? India? Europe? The Balkans? Indonesia? Pakistan? There have been Muslims in this country since its founding ... so, is it American Muslim culture you're talking about? It is true that diversity is a dirty word to the radical right, so I'm not surprised that you have trouble wrapping your head around the concept of culture and the fact that there are many of them.

What those diverse cultures have in common is the religion of Islam. How is Islam being forced down anyone's throat? In this country, Muslims don't seem to proselytize anywhere near as much as Christians ... so who's forcing what down whose throat?

Speaking of "Western-hating" ... Trump's bromance with Putin, the Russian mob and various Eastern European dictators has him cozying up to a major US adversary in a way that, if Clinton did it, would have you charging her with treason.

you know as well as the rest of us that it's Radical Islam that is the issue, stop trying to make something out of nothing. My original point stands. Re-read it. Christians are not declaring Jihad on the west, so forget "proselytizing" - this is about Jihad, complete eradication. Last I heard attempts at conversion is not the same as killing, cutting off heads, killing children, raping children, women, burning someone alive.... we can go on and on. Comparing any other religion to radical islam is ridiculous. Does Christianity have Sharia? Remember tolerating any religion that enforces Sharia means women are owned, punished brutally, homosexuals are killed, sexual slavery is ok, Rape is ok, women are viewed as half the value of men, marriage of children is acceptable, and all NON MUSLIMs are killed. Just to name a few.....

It is barbaric. The bottom line, we all can agree that we want a safe country. We want what is best for each of us. We want our children to grow up safe and happy. We need to protect our way of life. Whoever wins this battle better be prepared for a fight on a global scale. Those that wish ill on our western culture wish us dead and will stop at nothing to accomplish this. This is not going away.

Apparently people believe that American military and political involvement in the Middle East is a new pastime.

That is foolish thinking.

Over the course of the twentieth century, preserving the security not just of Saudi Arabia but of the entire Persian Gulf region and the flow of Middle Eastern oil were among the United States' chief political-economic concerns.2 The pursuit of American power in the Gulf has been fraught with peril and has proved costly in terms of both blood and treasure. Oil has flowed, although not without difficulty. Since the late 1970s the Gulf has been rocked by revolution and almost permanent war. Security, if measured by the absence of conflict, has been elusive, and safeguarding the Persian Gulf and the region's oil producers has meant increasingly more direct and dearer forms of U.S. intervention.

It's understood that people want a safe life, but American on American crime is more a threat to me than a Jihad place on me. Christians who want to take away my rights as an American gay man are more of a threat to my way of life.

Just sayin'

Agree, a lot of what we're seeing is a "reap what you sow" kind of thing. Not that terrorism is justified. Islam is indeed a violent religion and they hate us. The roots of that hate isn't all we're Christians innocently being terrorized. But Lord let any leader says such and try to fix some of that and it's "sympathizing with terrorists".

So, why didn't you write "radical Islam" instead of "Western-hating culture"? It's the conflation of radical religious warfare with the whole religion that's ignorant and extremely sloppy thinking. ETA: radical Islam =/= Islamic culture.

I still fail to see how radical Islam is being forced down anyone's throat in this country. I also fail to see how to eliminate any radical Islamic elements in this country without severely violating the Constitution. As long as you define the problem in terms of religion, rather than actual terroristic behavior or speech that calls for the violent overthrow of the government, you're going to run into that problem.

As for comparisons with Christianity ... that's a whole other thread. For purposes of this one, I'll just say that ISIS hasn't done anything in the name of Jihad that hasn't also been done in the name of Christianity. Christians already control the US, so they don't have any reason to get physical at this time, although many Christian preachers have publicly fantasized about it.

Freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of the press are three of the most radical ideas enshrined in the Constitution ... that's where true American Exceptionalism lies, not in our self-appointed role as thought police to "freedom-loving peoples of the world". Or guardians of the wealth of the .01%.

I am embarrassed at how terrified Trump is of ISIS. That ANY American would so quickly accede to the demands of a terrorist organization like Trump has is embarrassing.

ISIS makes demands on the US and threatens terrorist attacks if we don't comply. Trump is among the very first to go public with his calls to give in to the ISIS demands. Even worse so many Americans support his calls to roll over and lick ISIS's boots. When did we become such chickens?

Might be time to remove the words "home of the brave" from the national anthem.

You are correct, it's not the west that Christianity does those things to. So since the victims of Christian genocide, mass gang rape, bombing and burning are not Christians it's better? Different? OK?

Why don't you try to compare modern day Christianity vs radical Islam. You're just embarrassing yourself..... sympathizing with terrorists, much?

Unless I'm misinterpreting your post.... I'm actually unclear of what your point is the more I re-read your post.

what is a "reap what you sow" you are implying their focus on Western civilization and terrorism is justified. Are you not?
