You are reading page 3 of The Question Mark Equation. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Brazorial, that was a great observation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and also....did you happen to notice that they are frequently the same posters that tell you to go to #*&% when you do not agree with them after they have asked for your advice?;)

I've seen that a lot on other types of forums too. It's usually younger folks who actually post their questions seeking validation, not advice.

My peeve is the person writing the rambling 500+ word monograph. That causes my eyes to quickly glaze over and leads to only a superficial read, if at all...

Oh Canes, It's not the length. It's the long post without any paragraph breaks that Chicago was referring to. That is one of my pet peeves too. The post may be great with compelling information but if it is one of those monographs that goes on and on without breaks it's too much of a pain to read and I just skip it....Don't people realize what it looks like on the page?

That is why I am always careful to put breaks in my posts..by the way Canes, your posts are always well thought out, compelling and always worth reading and in the spirit of one of our other threads (may it rest in peace) :yeah::yeah::yeah:

I too had a rotten week at work! And since our "other" thread was closed and like Lord Voldemort must now never be spoken of aloud....and may it rest in peace:crying2:...wait I need to pull myself together, ok...I needed something else to post my pithy comments on...and since all of the pretty young skinny nurses are now off limits (even though I AM one myself :D) I guess we will have to comment on all of the need advice post of which right now there are at least 4...I dunno, I lost count..whereby the OP always ends up cursing anyone out who doesn't agree especially when they don't even use the little symbols @#%^# they really cuss you out, I know we touched on that one but it's a good one!

How do you like my creative use of smilies?:cool::smokin:

I was more impressed with your lack of paragraph spacing. sidewaysmileys-1-1-1-1-1-1.gif

That's exactly right.

It's like listening to someone speak without pausing or taking a breath for 3-4 minutes.

We have a bunch of amateur exclamation point users here. To properly use a string of exclamation points (which you should always do so properly, because doing so improperly is a definite HIPPA violation) one should always insert a few 1s or even better the occasional 11, known in forum sarcasm as the "eleventyeleven" which would be used as so:

OMG!!!1!! It's my dReAm:redbeathe to be nurse!!!!!111!!!1!!! But I have a 2.3 GPA, 3 DUIs:cheers: and the nursing school won't admit me and I don't understand because it's my DREAM!!!!!!1!!11!!!!!!!

The amount of credibility I see in a post is generally inverse to the amount of punctuation, smileys and text speak. And the amount of excuses for text-speak and misspellings as in, "I'm typing this on my really cool phone so if it's not understandable I don't really care if I get my message across" ...
