The country would cover those costs...federal dollars...so the tax payers, yep that's what I'm hearing.  That will really get the racists all up in arms.  They won't find that fair at all.  😂

It seems only right the country would cover the costs.

After all, this country benefited from slave labor, for how many years?

The house Trump currently occupies was built with slave labor.

A subset of Americans, likes to conveniently "forget," how slave labor built this country.

They cling to the fairy tale, that their White, legal immigrant ancestors, did it all on their own.

A fairy tale that helps them sleep at night.

But a fairy tale, nonetheless.

My White ancestors came to America in 1926 on a train from Canada. In two days they had rented an apartment and in less than a week they had jobs. My grandmother was hired at Marshall Field's Department store and my grandfather was a janitor at the same store. No green card, no citizenship. They were White English speakers and were housed and hired no questions asked.  They lived in that apartment and worked at that store for thirty years. The family became American Citizens after Pearl Harbor when my Dad and his brother joined the Army Air Force.

Be that as it may, and you can blame McDonnell if you want although imo lots of blame to go around on both sides, but it is Congress' job to get this done.

As it is now,  it is a questionable if DACA is legal because of how it was implemented,  and I doubt this is the last fight on it.

At least according to McConnell, the reason why he's not going to bring the House bill to the floor of the Senate is that Trump has said he would veto the bill, so according to him what's standing in the way of getting it done is Trump, not Congress.

Have you all seen the photos of the unmasked, non-social distancing throngs, waiting out in the Tulsa heat to catch a glimpse of their leader?

If I was a virulent virus, I would be in virus heaven.

Just read via CNN, that something like six, Trump campaign staffers have tested positive for CVirus.

How this little cult gathering ultimately turns out, will be interesting.

😒

It's like reading a badly written end of times novel.

Then congress should put something together he'll sign.

They were pretty close once, but Dems didn't want to give him the wall.

The democrats offered him the full $25 billion he was requesting for a wall in exchange for a DACA replacement, which Trump initially agreed to, then backed out of.  https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/03/trump-should-have-accepted-democrats-border-wall-offer.html

So far, Trump hasn't offered any insight on what it is he would sign, which makes it pretty much impossible to meet Trump's apparently secret requirements for a bill he would support.

We can go back and forth, but I think my point has been made in that there is plenty of blame for each side to go around.  Either they know what he'll sign or they should be working torward it.  Which they would do if it was a priority.

At the request of the Donald Trump campaign, Tulsa Police say they arrested a woman in an "I can't breathe" shirt

...  Tulsa Police spokeswoman Jeanne Pierce said the woman, identified as Sheila Buck to Tulsa World photographer Mike Simons, was being booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of obstructing officers...

...    A Tulsa World reporter asked Pierce for the reason why the campaign asked officers to remove her. "It is their event and they requested it," Pierce replied...

...   The woman said she lives in downtown Tulsa and had a ticket to the event. Pierce said the woman had passed through the metal detector area to the "most secure area of the event accessible only to ticket holders."

But whether she had a valid ticket was irrelevant, Pierce said. "Whether she had a ticket or not for the event is not a contributing factor for the Tulsa Police in making the arrest," Pierce said. "Officers at the location, particularly in the 'Sterile' area, will remove individuals only at the direction of Campaign Staff."...

Tulsa Police spokeswoman Jeanne Pierce said the woman, identified as Sheila Buck to Tulsa World photographer Mike Simons, was being booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of obstructing officers. The department posted on Twitter that the woman was in an area considered to be private for the event, meaning Trump's campaign can have people removed at its discretion.

If she was removed because she was in an area that required a ticket and she didn't have one then sure, that's fair.

But she claims she had a ticket, something the police and the Trump campaign don't appear to dispute, but rather admit that she was removed because of the view (speech) expressed on her t-shirt.

In other words, a citizen who had bought a ticket to hear her President speak was arrested for insisting on expressing a dissenting view in a way that didn't infringe on anyone else's rights.  That's not America.
