Trump's tweet about the elderly man in Buffalo should not be surprising. From a 2008 interview:

Quote

o what happens is, this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died.

And you know what I did? I said, 'Oh my God, that's disgusting,' and I turned away.

I couldn't, you know, he was right in front of me and I turned away. I didn't want to touch him. He's bleeding all over the place, I felt terrible.

You know, beautiful marble floor, didn't look like it. It changed colour. Became very red.

And you have this poor guy, 80 years old, laying on the floor unconscious, and all the rich people are turning away...

What happens is, these 10 Marines from the back of the room.

They come running forward, they grab him, they put the blood all over the place—it's all over their uniforms—they're taking it, they're swiping [it], they ran him out, they created a stretcher.

They call it a human stretcher, where they put their arms out with, like, five guys on each side...

I was saying, 'Get that blood cleaned up! It's disgusting!' The next day, I forgot to call [the man] to say is he OK.

It's just not my thing."

His point was that he is blood averse, which I can understand. But what he also showed was his callousness regarding the suffering of others. Clearly a total lack of compassion or empathy.

Evidence of his psychopathology, IMV. The man is a psychopath and is a danger to our republic and citizens.

For some, it's simply easier to dismiss opposing opinions as propaganda then it us to have a rational discussion.  They have nothing to offer, except to disparage and discredit those with differing views.

There is no question as to whether or not you share propaganda in these threads.  What percentage that represents is unworthy of even a guess, imho, but it's not zero.

Yes, hypocritical viewpoints are disparaged.  Criticizing Biden's speech patterns for instance, when Trump is an embarrassing and at times nearly incoherent public speaker.  That's hypocritical and anyone should expect blatant hypocrisy to be belittled. Why is it hypocritical? Because Trump's public utterances are not only often remarkably dumb but also irresponsible, inciting, dishonest, delusional, but are also often dangerous.  And you have nothing to say about the vast majority of that.

Continuing to repeat conspiracy theory as valid (Biden/Ukraine) will get anyone discredited.

But we get that you feel poorly treated.

It simply isn't possible to have a rational discussion with anybody who defends all of Trump's actions, no matter how deplorable.

As I have already shared with you, I don't coddle. I call it like I see it.

The idea was fed to him by pro-Trump news channel.

He has no original ideas.

My point is proven.

I want you to honestly ponder this scenario, Tweety.

You have stated several times that you were banned for a time. And based on your statements, you honored that ban.

And that is how it should be.

We both know of a poster who has been banned, but rather than honor that ban, the way you did, the poster attempted many, many, times to circumvent the ban with new personas.

Ask your why this person is so desperate to get back to these threads.

What could be their motivation?

I am truly interested in your response. Not an ounce of sarcasm in this post.

I promise.

I have always found you to be honorable, Tweety, even if we sometimes disagree.

Okay.  I've had time to think about it, and I can say with assurance I don't "legitimize propaganda" and resent you're saying so.  There have been times I've stepped outside my beliefs and said something like "I can understand why a conservative would say this", for example something like "Trump has done a lot of things in his time in office"...he has...just nothing I agree with, but conservatives and the stock market love some of the things he's done.

Being banned probably isn't the right term for what happened to me.   I was put on moderation and my posts wouldn't show up automatically but had to be approved and I chose to just leave instead.  I know how it feels to be antagonized and condescended to by people that barely stay on the right side of the TOS, and I try not to do that.

You're style of "I don't coddle" and "call it like it is" a bit different than mine but I allow you your beliefs.

When I was a moderator I saw many banned people create new accounts but the software could usually catch the IP address and stop them.  Maybe now with phones and people with many devices it's hard to stop them from doing so, I don't know.  Sometimes they just enjoy it here and want to stay and don't want to give the person who reported them the satisfaction, or to continue to antagonize that person, or merely want to be heard and understood.  I'm not not really sure.  But as someone who likes to add his two cents, I get it in a way.

By now, I hope you all have had a chance to see the pictures and read the story of Trumpsters in NJ, mocking George Floyd's death near a BLM protest.

The Trumpsters proudly displayed their American flag, along with a Trump flag.

Yes.

Trumpsters really are that deplorable.

Like their leader, there is no bottom with people.

Just deplorable.

This morning, after work, while grocery shopping, I spotted a man wearing an STD mask.

I am sure you all have seen the STD; Stop the Donald, Stop the infection masks advertised on FB.

I do not live in a bigger city.

My city is small, and still somewhat rural.

I stopped the guy and said: You have one of those STD masks!

He said: Is it a good thing?

I replied: It sure is!

November will be a reckoning for Trump!

From today's WaPo:

White Men Mocked...

One of the Trumpsters has been identified as a corrections officer, and has been suspended.

I am telling you all, protesters need to carry fly swatters.

The "bad apples" are everywhere. The fruit fly infestation must be horrendous at police departments across this land.

The "bad apples" comment reminds me so much of horse racing.

Trainers drugging horses is fairly common.

When one is caught, the infraction is blamed on "bad apples."

But the infractions are rampant. And that is there is systemic cheating going on in horse racing.

And there is systemic racism within the policing system.
