I read the column you posted, Tweety, and I am glad there are some decent Evangelicals like the gentleman who wrote the piece, and President Carter.

It saddens me that anybody who "claims" to be religious would cheer at the death of another human being, or scream out racial epithets.

I am not religious, but if an Iranian drone took out Trump, I would feel badly for the loss of life, and not simply pump my first in the air and yell "Yeah."

And I despise Trump.

There is such a thing as human decency, but that concept is lost on Trump and Trumpsters.

Today, in Trumplandia, we learn that Trump's personal lawyer and Lev were working with Mr Hyde to put Trump's Ukranian ambassador under physical and electronic surveillance, and possibly in danger. We learned that they had breached embassy security and had someone inside willing to help them in this Ukraine monkey business. We already knew that Trump had predicted that she was "going to go through some things" during his phone call.  That takes on a more sinister tone about now.

Oddly enough, Pompeo cancelled a meeting to avoid the press rather than pounding the podium and demanding answers and a thorough investigation. Where are the anti corruption champions of the Trump administration or GOP?  Is there no honor among them?

Ambassador Yovanovitch is calling for an investigation of her alleged surveillance by criminally indicted Giuliani associates.

The abuse of power by Trump, and his friends is blatant.

It is beyond anything Richard Nixon engaged in.

Read about the security briefing being cancelled yesterday.

Of course it was cancelled.

Trump LIED about the reason for assassination of Soleimani and all those LIES are falling apart.

If the embassies were under threat of imminent attack, why weren't they warned?

This country has got to rid itself of the blight that is Trump and Friends.

Oh, yes, wasn't it Monday that the Cult leader said: "So what," to the possibility that he LIED about the reason for assassination of Soleimani?

The Cult leader has no respect for the rule of law, and his followers raise their arms to the heavens, begging: Give us more.

Such a sorry sight.

Mike Pompeo emerged the other day to have a one on one with Hugh Hewitt. He got his opportunity to go on the record saying that he doesn't recollect hearing about any surveillance or anything like that related to Yovanovich.  Hugh, of course, didn't really ask him about the family of elephants that suddenly materialized in his studio.  That would have been unfriendly.

It is crazy how this is playing out.  Are they going to get away with this?

From the Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Milley:

Just when you thought the BS couldn't get any deeper or smellier.

Eventually, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will disclose the evidence that shows Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani was planning an imminent attack against U.S. forces – but he did not say when.

"I will be happy, when the appropriate time comes in front of the proper committees and anybody else, through history and every — I'll stand by the intelligence I saw, that — that was compelling, it was imminent, and it was very, very clear in scale, scope," Army Gen. Mark Milley told reporters on Monday. [...]

Trump authorized Soleimani's killing 7 months ago, with conditions

The timing raises new questions about the Trump administration's stated justification for taking out the top Iranian general.

President Donald Trump authorized the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani seven months ago if Iran's increased aggression resulted in the death of an American, according to five current and former senior administration officials.

The presidential directive in June came with the condition that Trump would have final signoff on any specific operation to kill Soleimani, officials said.

That decision explains why assassinating Soleimani was on the menu of options that the military presented to Trump two weeks ago for responding to an attack by Iranian proxies in Iraq, in which a U.S. contractor was killed and four U.S. service members were wounded, the officials said.

The timing, however, could undermine the Trump administration's stated justification for ordering the U.S. drone strike that killed Soleimani in Baghdad on Jan. 3. Officials have said Soleimani, the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' elite Quds Force, was planning imminent attacks on Americans and had to be stopped...

Trump is a liar.

Trump's staff, cabinet and family lie for him.  Republican members of Congress lie for Trump. Propagandists lie for him.  Fools repeat lies for him in their communities.

Very dystopian.

His relatively latest LIE was when he announced that no US troops had been injuries during the Iranian retaliation missle attack.

We now know that at least 11 soldiers were injured.

😒

Is he lying, or his he simply a moron?

😒

Don't know if any of you have read excerpts from the latest book about the Trump regime, but the NY Times has a review of "A Stable Genius," and it is a head turner.

Trump apparently didn't understand what happened at Pearl Harbor.

Gosh, is it that complicated to understand?

And he doesn't understand why American companies can't pay bribes overseas.

AND, he wants to profit from American troops overseas.

I guess that last bit was what drove Rex Tillerson over the edge.

Trump is a moron, who actually believes with all his being, that he is a genius.

Scary, scary stuff.

And Ivanka and Jared aren't much better.

Scary, scary.

This popped up in my Twitter feed. I am so tempted to buy the book but I am unsure if it will just play to my confirmation bias.

I mean, I know Trump is a moron. He proved that years ago talking about windmills in Scotland, apparently he knows more about them than anyone else in the world.

It's a tough call, Grumpy.

Unfortunately, the folks who really need to read the book, never will.

And those poor souls include anybody who believes Trump possesses morals, actually cares about women, children and families, loves his wife and isn't a racist.

The only thing gained by reading the book, is probably a panic attack when you remember Trump occupies the WH.
